Chapter 2

Percy's POV.

"... And here we are" Luke finished the story and Chiron nodded, rubbing his chin. 

"So how will you devise the training program?" Chiron asked and everyone turned to me. 

"Hello, my name's Riptide, I'm Chaos's lieutenant" I introduced, and Chiron inspected me. "Arrow and Beta will be teaching archery, Alpha and Omega will be teaching swordsmanship and physical combat, Star and I are on advancing powers from cabins like Zeus, Hecte, Hades, etc. Silena is gonna help teach the Aphrodite kids on how to use charmspeak most effectively, and Beckendorf will be helping Hephaestus cabin," I continued and Chiron's eyes raked over me, making me sit up straighter. Shit. 

"And what powers do you have Riptide?" He asked and I shot a wide-eyed glance to Biana, who shrugged. 

"I can create earthquakes, control any liquid, change the temperature of any liquid, heal with water, and I can travel anywhere using the water particles in the air" I finished and his eyes seemed to dig into my soul. 

"I thought so. Welcome back Percy" he said and I choked a little. 

"I'm not Percy" I said defensively and he gave me a look. "I'm not! I'm over 4,725 years old" I argued and he chuckled. 

"4,730 on August 18th you mean. Chaos years, that is." He said and I let out a string of greek curses. 

"I don't even know why you would care" I snarled, pushing my chair back and standing up. The ground trembled a little and Micheal glared at Chiron. 

"Leave it alone" he muttered and Chiron seemed to observe all of us.

"Why did you leave Percy?" Chiron said and I flicked my mask off. 

"You know why I left. Now, we will be setting up our tents in the clearing by the lake. If you tell ANYONE who I am, we will leave, and never come back. We will tell Chaos not to send the rest of the army. You would die" I snarled and he gave me an amused child. 

"I won't tell. You have some big surprises coming your way though Percy" he said and I groaned. 

"We need a table in the dining hall," Zoë said a little awkwardly and Chiron nodded. 

"We have captured the flag tomorrow night, and you're welcome to play. we also have a Ping Pong table meeting at 5 o'clock today" he said and I gave him a curt nod, exiting the room quickly.

"He's gonna tell someone," I said, pacing in the inside of the magically enchanted tent. 

"Calm down" Beckendorf said and I shot him a glare. 

"Calm down? He could tell everyone. I'm not ready to talk to them" I stressed and I heard a burst of water, and well as a scream. Silena poked her head in. 

"A toilet just exploded" she said and I glared. 

"Percy, let's go visit your mom" Bianca said poking her head in under Silena's. I hesitated for a second but nodded. 

"Okay. We could vapor travel, shadow travel, or take blackjack?" I said exiting the tent, and wincing when I saw the crowd around the bathrooms. She hesitated for a second. 

"Blackjack" she said and I shot her a grin. 

"C'mon!" I said pulling her to the stables. As soon as we got inside every single horse started talking. 

"My Lord" I heard a black and white speckled one say and I nodded my head in acknowledgement. We made our way to the back of the stable and I saw someone at blackjack's stable throwing some hay in. The girl turned and I recognized Piper. I let out a string of greek curses under my breath and Piper turned. 

"Um, we were just trying to see Blackjack," Bianca said and Piper snorted. 

"I wouldn't. He'll bite your hand off" she said and moved over. 

"Hey Blackjack" I said and his eyes widened. 

"Boss?" he asked and I reached my hand out petting his mane. 

"Percy says hi" I said and Piper stuttered. 

"What the Hades?" she murmured and Bianca stuck her hand out. 

"Is that the dead girl?" He asked and I laughed. 

"Yea it is. Chaos brought her back" I said and he let her pet him. 

"You up for a ride?" I asked and he neighed excitedly.

As we soared over New York City I let out a whoop. You haven't lived until you've ridden a pegasus. Bianca was screaming, and it almost seemed like a joke I would have said back in the day. A son of Poseidon and a daughter of Hades flying. As the Brooklyn bridge came into view I felt a smile grow on my face. 

"Blackjack we're going back to my old apartment" I called and he whined in approval. 

"You got it boss" he called back and I smiled. Just like old days. As he landed on the rooftop, I breathed in the smell of New York and Bianca slid off. 

"I'll bring you some cookies. Stay in the area" I said petting him for a second and he took off. 

"C'mon we have to get back by 5" I said, checking the time. 1:15 PM. I grabbed her arm and we appeared in my mom's apartment. I heard I scream and turned around to see Paul. I pulled my hood down quickly and his eyes widened. 

"Percy?" he whispered and my mom came running in. 

"Hi guys" I whispered and my mom ran up to me, wrapping her arms around me and letting out a sob. 

"8 Years. 8 YEARS AND NO MESSAGE" she yelled and I buried my head in her shoulder. 

"I'm so sorry mom" I said and she whacked the back of my head. 

"You better be. Estelle get in her!" she yelled and I gave her a look. 

"Who's that?" I asked and a little girl came running in. She had Paul's hair but mom's eyes. 

"Mommy who's this?" She asked and my mouth dropped open. 

"Hi I'm Percy," I said, voice small and the little girl's mouth dropped. 

"Like my brother Percy?" she asked and I nodded. I bent down to be at the 7 year-old's level. 

"I'm Estelle," she said and I smiled. 

"It's so good to meet you," I said and she grinned. 

"Mommy I wanna show him my room!" she suddenly yelled and pulled me away. 

"I'll make some cookies!" she called after me and I grinned. 

"I missed you!"
