Chaper Three: Double Date

I placed the razor carefully hiding it behing some perfume bottles and deodorants on the bathroom's cabinet and I slipped into the shower. The hot water was streaming down my body and the blood was running again from my wrist but the pain was bearable this time. I've been doing this for the past 3 weeks and every time I could feel less and less pain. After I was done showering, I jumped out and I stood in front of the mirror looking back at the man in front of me staring me. My face was decent but my hair was a wet mess. I looked down on my wrist and the still fresh cuts, were obvious. I searched for some leather bracelets and my watch to cover them up.

'Perfect'. I muttered to myself and I began styling my hair.

After about an hour, my perfectly made quiff was ready. I stepped out and I walked to my room. I stood in front of the closet not knowing what to wear for tonight. After a good 20 minutes I decided to go for some tight jeans and a white v neck t-shirt. I slipped on my compact boots and I threw my leather jacket on my shoulders, spraying my favorite cologne before heading downstairs. I took out of my pocket a cigarette and I lit it up. As I was waiting for Louis to come over, only one question was running my mind; How's that  'Jenna' chick looks like?

Jenna's POV

"Are you ready?" Eleanor asked. 

"Yeah...I think so..." I said and I took another quick look of myself on the mirror. 

"You're knock out." Eleanor giggled and I blushed. "He'll drool his chin, I know Zayn." 

"I don't know..." I let out a loud sigh and I collapsed on the couch chewing my bottom lip.

"Oh come on! Aren't you excited?" Eleanor playfully punched my shoulder plopping herself next to me on the couch. 

"I am, but he's Zayn Malik from One Direction and I'm just another college student, nothing special." 

"Well, I'm a college student too." She said and checked her phone. "Oh look! Louis and Zayn are already at the restaurant waiting for us. We should get going." She spoke and stood up tossing her phone in her purse as I stood up aswell throwing on my jacket.

"Ok, let me grab my purse." I locked the door behind me and I jumped in the driver's seat of my black car in the driveway. The whole drive was crazy, me and Eleanor singing along Carly Rae Jepsen's Call me maybe and dancing awkwardly, collecting some strange glares from other drivers whenever we stopped on a red light. After a while, I pulled at the restaurant's parkway and we made our way in. We saw Louis and Zayn sitting at a table and we walked towards them smoothing the silk fabric of my dress on my way.

Zayn's POV

I was talking with Louis when Eleanor and her friend, Jenna walked into the restaurant. 

"Finally!" I rolled my eyes.

"Shut up!" Louis punched my leg underneath the table. "And be nice to her. She's an amazing girl." he added and restrained his posture. 

"Ok." I said and I took a sip of my wine, shrugging my shoulders. I wasn't in mood for him to scold me again.

"And don't get drunk!" Louis said in between his teeth darting me an angry glare.

"Whatever." I said and I looked up to see the girls standing in front of us.

"Hello ladies." Louis stood up and greeted the girls kissing them both on their cheeks.

"Hello Louis." Jenna spoke and hugged him.

"Hey babe." El smiled and pecked a kiss on his lips.

"Well, Jenna this is my best friend and bandmate, Zayn. Zayn, this is El's best friend Jenna." Louis introduced us.

"Nice to meet you." She extended her hand and a warm, sweet smile appeared on her face. She was beautiful.

"Nice to meet you too." I shook her hand and I pulled the chair for her to sit.

"Thanks." She said and sat down, next to me.

I sat down too and I might have been staring at her for a quite long time because Louis' leg kicking mine under the table brought me back to the reality.

"Ouch! What the-" I spatted.

"I think we should order." Louis said in a stern tone cutting me off.

"What can I get you?" A waiter came and politely smiled at us.

"I'll have the chicken with the lemon sauce and the vego salad." Jenna smiled and handed him the menu.

"I'll have the same." I said. "Chicken is life." I turned to face Jenna flashing her a small crooked smile.

"I know how you're feeling." She giggled and patted my shoulder taking a small sip of her wine.

"I'll have the Mediterranean salad and the steak with extra spice." Louis smiled.

"Uhm...I think I'll have the mushroom soup. I'm not really hungry." Eleanor said and the waiter left.

The table fell silent for a few minutes, the only sound being the reastaurant's surroundings. Louis and Eleanor were talking to each other so I took the opporunity to talk to Jenna.

"I've never met you before. How long have you and El been friends?" I cleared my throat earning her attention as I took a sip of my wine.

"Umm..Almost 2 years." She nodded and smiled. Her beautiful green eyes were sparkling and her smile was honest. She was happy and I was broken. I almost envied her. All I wanted was to be myself and that seemed to be the most difficult task for me this time of the period. I snapped my head out of my thoughts when the waiter came back with the tray of food carefully placing our orders in front of us and refilling our glasses with wine. I reached out for my glass raising it in the air motioning for the rest to do the same. 

"Cheers!" Louis laughed and raised his glass.

"Cheers!" We said in unison clicking our glasses.

After a few hours the ice between me and Jenna was completely broken and now we were laughing uncontrolably. We were drinking, telling weird stories form our childhood and teasing each other. I was actually having fun. I was happy. This girl made me happy.

People from the other tables were giving us some weird looks, even Louis and Eleanor were staring at us with a questioning yet comfused look, extanging brief glares between them aswell.

"Excuse me for a second. I have to go to the restroom." Jenna stood up smoothing her dress before walking away.

"Ok Jen." I smiled and she chuckled. Louis and Eleanor had their eyes glued at me.

"What?!" I raised an eyebrow.

"We've been here for about 2 hours and you already gave her a nickname?" El chuckled.

"So what? You guys were right. She's an amazing girl." I said nonchalantly taking another sip of my wine.

"I'm happy for you, man." Louis smiled at me.

"That doesn't mean we're going to be a couple tho." I said in a serious tone crossing my hands behind my neck.

"Ok, you can be friends." Eleanor smiled supporting her head on her palm of her hand.

Before I could answer, I heard Jenna's heels clicking on the marble floor, footsteps getting closer.

"I'm sorry guys, but I have to go." She apologized and grabbed her purse alongside her jacket.

"So soon?" I pouted not wanting the night to end.

"I have classes tomorrow, sorry." She said in an apologetic tone pursing her lips together.

"Ok then, I think I'll go home too." I said and I stood up aswell.

"But man, I'm your ride." Louis said.

"I can drop you off, if you want to." Jenna smiled and placed her hand on my shoulder. Her caress gave me a strange feeling. Something I've never felt before. My eyes flew form her hand to her beautiful smiling eyes that were looking at me and I couldn't help but smile at her before nodding my head. I stood up collecting my phone from the table, shoving it in my jean's pocket and putting on jacket.

"Ok then. Bye guys. Have fun." She waved at Eleanor and Louis and so I did. I rested my hand on her waist and I escorted her out.

We reached her car at the parking lot and we stepped inside. The engine started and Jenna pulled out the parkway, hitting the road. A familiar sound came on the radio and I was trying to remember which song was that and then her voice bursted.

Does he tell you he loves you when you least expect it? Does he flutter your heart when he kisses your neck?

My body went numb and I didn't know how to react. Jenna must have forgotten that me and Perrie were over cause she kept driving and tapping her fingers on the streering wheel at the rhythm. 

"Can you change it, please?" I managed to chock out shifting in my seat uncomfortably. Something dropped inside me when I heard her voice. A lamp was on my throat making it hard for me to breathe. I was gasping for air. I quickly rolled the window down and I let the cold breeze hit my face. 

"Oh..yeah...sorry!" Jenna stuttered, realising the awkward situation and turned off the radio. The loud surroundings of the streets filled the car. I threw my head back on the seat and I focused my gaze out of the window. 

"So...Where is your house?" Jenna spoke and stopped on the red light. 

"You turn right and then two blocks away you turn left." I said quietly, not even looking at her.

"I'm sorry. I totally forgot..." Her voice cracked and she focused back on the road.

"It's not your fault, Jen. It's just me." I sighed rubbing my forehead.

"There we are." I said and pointed towards my house. Jenna pulled in the parkway and stopped the car. I unbuckled my seatbelt and I leaned on her for a brief hug.

"I had a great night." I spoke to her neck before breaking the hug and look at her face.

"Me too." She whispered looking deeply into my eyes and flashed me a small smile.

"We should do this again sometime." I said and I pulled out my phone. "Here, write your phone down. I promise I'll call you." I chuckled and handed it to her.

She took the phone to her hands and she slightly blushed. She typed her phone and gave it back to me. Suddenly, I fele a boost of confidence and I bent down kissing her cheek. It definitelly took her by surprise but something inside me pushed me for doing this. I gave her an awkward smile and my hand scratched the back of my neck. 

"Goodnight, then." I spoke in a low voice and opened the car door. 

"Goodnight, Zayn." She smiled at me and I jumped out of the car walking to my front door.

A/N: This chapter....I can't even!! *The feelsss* Sorry! I want you to make ship names for Jenna and Zayn cause I can't seem to find one :( Anyways, the next chapter is going to have a lot of DRAMA envolving...Perrie. So yeah! Vote/Comment and spread the world if you liked it.
