Chapter 46

Perrie's POV

"Oh my god it said we have a really good chance to take this week no.1!" Leigh exclaimed excitedly

"It's about damn time!" Jesy gritted her teeth

"I hope so. Few more days to go....Gosh I am so nervous!" Jade laid her head on my shoulder, arms wrapping around my torso

"Me too baba. Let's hope for the best yeah?" I smiled at her which she returned immediately. I rubbed her back and kissed her head.

"It better be us this time!"

We all wanted it so bad. It has been three days since we released "Glory Days" and the sales had been promising. We are pleased to see people are loving the album and most of the feedback we gained were positive, despite some commented the songs are too mature for our young fans. We are no longer the young girls on the X factor anymore, we have all grown up and so as the people who have been watching us since the start of the show, so this album is a metaphor to our journey so far and we are ready for our glory days to come.

We have released three albums already but yet to get a number 1 despite how contented we felt. People said third times is the charm, and "Get Weird"did became our most successful album out of the three, it came so close and peaked at number 2 on the chart but still missing that no.1 spot. We are hungry for the top spot, and we all hope "Glory Days" is the one. We feel good about our chances this time, even the media said so, and most importantly we have faith in our amazing fans, knowing that they are doing the best they could to help us get the number 1 spot because they are as eager as we are, we just hope it will all paid off by the end of the week.

"The car is here now girls." The crew informed us.

Leigh put her phone away and we went to grab our bags and left the dressing room. We have finished all the work for today and are now heading back to our hotel. We are currently in Netherlands, the worldwide promo is about to come to an end and we will be back to UK very soon.

"Have I told you you look hot today?" Jade whispered into my ear as we were sitting at the back of the car, while Leigh and Jesy were in the front.

"About a thousand times today Jade. And I keep reminding you I am not and you are, when you have that sexy glasses on" I grinned and kissed her nose, making her nose scrunched up looking absolutely adorable.

"That's because you insisted me to wear it for today" She rolled her eyes

"Hey I let you pick for my outfits so that's even babe. And I knew you are going to go for all black you have a thing for it" I smirked

"Likewise for your obsession to my glasses. And since I am a nerd today, I need my badass girlfriend to protect me don't I?" She muttered and slowly leaned in. I hummed and leaned in too, waiting for those soft lips on mine

"Ouch your piercing!"

"Ouch your glasses!"

Our lips didn't meet like I expected to, as my cheek was nudged by her glasses, and I guessed my nose piercing did the same. We rubbed at our cheek with a matching pout on our face, and soon burst our into laughter.

"You two are idiots" Jesy shook her head dramatically, letting out a deep sigh

"How could you say that when my Jadey here is the smartest one" I beamed at her and leaned in carefully to peck her lips so my noise piercing will not hurt her this time.

"Jade you do look like a straight A student with that outfit, and Perrie you are like the bad one who skipped classes and got into fights all the time" Leigh laughed

"Well it's true the good one always falls for the bad one" I winked at Jade

"Only you" She kissed my cheek

"I AM in fact a straight A student your know, even though I am not so straight myself" Jade said proudly, we all laughed at her remark at the end.

"Hey I might be a bad student but I don't punch people okay. Unless someone mess with my princess" I beamed at Jade

"How I wish I could meet you earlier my hero" Jade kissed my cheek.

As much as I love her lovely words and gesture, I frowned as it reminded me she did get bullied in school when she was young. How could anyone bully such a sweet and beautiful girl like her? The only reason I could think of is they were jealous of her being so perfect. It was heart-breaking just imagining of what horrible thing they did to her. I hope I could have a time machine so I could go back to stop them all.

"What happened baby?" Jade gasped and smoothed my furrowed eyebrows with her thumb

"I wish I did know you earlier so I could protect you from all the terrible bullying" I gritted my teeth and I could feel the anger inside me, on the bullies and also on myself not able to stop it from happening. I tightened my grip on her small torso, like she is the most precious thing to me, which in fact she is.

"Aw Perrie that's long time ago and we all had our worst days" Jade looked at Leigh and Jesy and they nodded. Unfortunately we all have experienced terrible things at some point, life couldn't always be perfect I guess.

"That didn't hurt me now and I know no one can hurt me anymore because I have you now" She cupped my face so I was looking straightly into eyes. I could feel my anger slowly dying down as I was mesmerized by her calm brown eyes

"You will protect me right Pez?" She asked in a whisper

"All my life" I said unwaveringly

"Oh my god I need a Perrie too!" Leigh squealed

"No she is MINE!" I giggled when Jade growled and held onto me possessively

"I am only yours Jadey don't worry" I kissed her forehead and gazed at her with pure love in my eyes, which fully reflected in her beautiful chocolate eyes.

"Leigh let me remind you you do have a boyfriend called Andre" Jesy added

"Yes indeed"

Leigh gave her a bright smile at the thought at her boyfriend, but it dropped seconds after. Me and Jade caught up with her emotional change and looked at Jesy with concern, as she had just split up with Jake not long ago.

"I know what you are thinking but I am okay, really. I enjoy being single now" Jesy assured us

"We are always here for you Jes. No matter what" Leigh said. Jade and I gave her a firm nod.

"Well you three constantly annoying the hell out of me so I don't really have time to mope about it" I groaned making her snickered

"No seriously I am fine and please don't feel bad to show your affection because I am the only single one here. Jade you have been there too right?" Jade giggled and nodded.

That reminded me of the video we took to tease Jade when she was the only one single, by saying our names with our boyfriend's' last name. I didn't really want to do that as I didn't want to take Zayn's last name at all, but it was for fun and I had to play along otherwise it would look suspicious to the girls. I remembered in my head all I was thinking was Jade calling herself 'Jade Edwards', which was obviously not the case back then, but it will definitely happen in the future, I am going to make her a "Edwards". Or maybe not, I would love to have her name in mine too...'Thirlwards'? I need to discuss it with my future wife then.

I grinned at the thought and cupped her face to turn her head, then smashing my lips on hers, luckily this time neither her glasses nor my piercing got in our way. She gasped in surprise but wrapped her arms around me neck and kissed me back passionately.

"I did say I don't mind but I didn't say I want to see it right now Perrie!" We laughed and pulled away, Jade sent me a questioning look.

"I am so happy you are mine now" I pecked her lips

"Me too" She mumbled. Her lips curved up and cheek flushed red.

"This is so sickeningly cute I am gonna vomit. I want to take my words back now and prohibited you being so affectionate towards each other" Jesy made some gagging noise

"You couldn't stop us anyway" Jade sassed back and showered my face with kisses, making Jesy grumbled

"Awwww" Leigh squealed

"See. You three are annoying!"

"Hey I didn't do anything" Leigh protested

"You almost made me deaf!"

"But they are so cute!"

Me and Jade smiled at each other and giggled at how our conversation always ended up at one trying to outtalk another. Well. That's Little Mix everyone.

I sat on a bench alone, watching people inside the canteen laughing while having their lunch with their friends, it seems like I was the only one by myself. I looked around and groaned as Katherine was still nowhere to be seen. My stomach rumbled the umpteenth times and I looked at the time, it had been 10 minutes since lunch started and I was starving. I decided to start eating while waiting for her so I opened my lunchbox to take out a biscuit, smiled when there was finally food down my stomach.

I finished my lunch and waited for another five minutes, but she still hadn't show up. Where the hell is she? I sighed and stood up, finally giving up on waiting, as I really needed to go to the bathroom.

I stopped when I was about to push the bathroom door, frown as loud scream and yelling could be heard. Feeling curious and a bit worried, I pushed the door open slightly so I could peek through the narrow slit, gasped when I saw several girls laughing and pushing a tiny girl around, yelling horrible things that no one deserved to be called. The poor girl was bracing herself the whole time for all the attacks so I couldn't see her face, but then one of the mean girl pulled at her brown hair so her head was lifted, taking her glasses off and threw it to the ground to pieces. My eye widened when I realized who the victim was. Beautiful brown hair, killer cheekbone, gorgeous chocolate eyes, cute button nose, soft pink lips...Jade. MY JADE!

"STOP!"

I cried out agitatedly and pushed the door as hard as I could, but no one seems to notice me, not even Jade, and the door didn't move one bit. NO! NO ONE HURT MY JADEY!

"LEAVE HER ALONE!"

I continued yelling, pushing and banging on the door but it was absolutely futile. The door was like made of steel and I could only watch the love of my life getting hurt. Even though my hands were not actually tied...it felt like it. Tears formed in my eyes blurring my sight but I could still hear Jade whining in pain. My voice croaked at the constant screaming and my hands swelled at the nonstop banging on the stone-cold door, but it still couldn't change the cruel fact.

I couldn't protect my princess.

Suddenly I felt a force pulling me from behind, it was so strong it was like thousands of people dragging me at the same time. I clutched at the handle for my dear life, not wanting to leave when Jade was suffering, but I could feel I was slowly losing to the invisible force.

"I am so sorry Jade" I sniffed when I knew I couldn't hold on any longer

Then her head turned. Our eyes met.

"Perrie"

She mumbled my name in hopelessness and desperation. Her dull brown eyes were pleading me to save her out of this misery. But then my hand slipped and I could only see her figure getting smaller and smaller...and eventually out of my sight, until darkness swallowed me.

My eyes snapped open and darkness still consumed me. The thought of Jade being hurt and I could do nothing about it furies and distresses me. My heart was pounding so fast and I was hyperventilating. I can't breathe. I knew I have to calm myself in order to get some air into my lungs, but I can't. I just cant. Not until I knew Jade is safe.

I was panting and squirming, my body was covering with sweat. But then my eyes started to get use of the dark and I was met with the ceiling of my room. I turned my head to the side and sighed in relief when I saw Jade was sleeping peacefully next to me. Safe and sound.

It was just a dream, but it felt so real. Even if I knew Jade is not hurt, there is still this uneasy yet familiar feeling inside me...somehow I felt powerless and guilty. Why? Did it happen before? No. Impossible. Jade and I didn't know each other before the X Factor. And I am sure we didn't go to the same school so there is no way we have met in school. All I knew was Jade did get bullied when she got into secondary school, but I couldn't possibly feel bad at that time as I didn't even know her. But why? Why I felt like I had this same feeling in the past? I tried to reminisce but I was too exhausted to think of anything right now...this nightmare really did fuck up my head. I decided to give up on racking my brain anymore and go back to sleep.

I shifted closer to Jade and wrapped my arms protectively around her petite body. I knew I must smell bad as I was all sweating, even though I would never know how it smell like, but I couldn't help myself. I need to hold her. I need to know and feel she is alright. I examined her beautiful features under the ray of moonlight for a good minute, then closed my eyes and pressed my lips on her forehead.

"I won't let anything bad happen to you. I love you"

A/N: Poor Perrie had a nightmare:(

It means more than a nightmare I could tell you...but it won't be revealed until later chapter
