I woke up the next morning feeling Makane nuzzling into my hair again, purring. I yawned and opened my eyes, scooting closer to him.
"It is early, my Dee." he mumbled quietly. I hummed softly, touching his arm. He clicked and lifted his head slightly, leaning closer to push his mandibles against my lips, his version of a kiss. I smiled into it, and went for another kiss after he pulled away from the first one. He grumbled happily and we continued to kiss slowly in bed for a while.
His hand moved up to mine, holding onto it for a moment before slowly guiding it under the sheets and down to his groin. I smiled slightly, and we kissed again as he moved my hand to touch his cock. He groaned softly when I wrapped my hand around his, squeezing a little.
"Do it like this, my Dee." Makane mumbled, guiding my hand to show what he liked. I slowly did what he wanted, and he groaned again, his mandibles nuzzled into my chest through my shirt. After a couple minutes of me slowly stroking him, he grumbled and started rutting his hips against my hand, grunting.
"Faster, squeeze again." he said, guiding my hand to speed up. I appreciated the fact that he told me exactly what he wanted, what made him feel good. We kissed as I continued to touch him, and he rutted his hips again. He pulled away from my lips and groaned louder, looking at me.
"Keep going..." he grunted, caressing my face. I smiled a little and stroked his cock a little faster, knowing he was getting close to finishing. He grunted again louder, starting to pant a bit and rutting his hips more against the movements of my hand. His grunting got more frequent and louder, until he groaned and slowed his hips. He came as I kept pumping my hand, his load dripping down my fingers.
"My Dee..." he murmured, picking up a drop of his load with his thumb and pressing it into my mouth to taste. It was bitter, but the taste was quickly taken away by another kiss.
"We should clean up. I believe Lu'tekke requires our attendance at the meeting this morning." Makane finally said, sitting up a bit.
"Okay... I hope you guys can get this truce sorted soon. It's so hot out here, I'm glad we have thermal netting suits." I replied and he nodded slightly. We got up and I went to clean my hand and wash up for the day while he checked his weapons. I came out of the bathroom and got dressed, and put on my armour and shoes. Makane was already ready and waiting for me with some food.
"Eat, then we will leave." he said, sitting down opposite me at the table.
Breakfast was pretty quick then we left to go and meet the others. As we walked through the buildings towards the Counsel tent, desert yautja stopped to look at us. I noticed there were very few females around, mostly males and most of them didn't look too happy seeing me. Makane grunted and tugged my arm to walk closer to him, glaring at anyone who glared at me. We approached the tent where two desert yautja stood at the entrance.
When we went to walk in, Makane walked in first but the two yautja blocked me from entering.
"No oomans." one snarled, glaring down at me.
Makane turned and frowned, growling slightly.
"She is with us." he said and they both still didn't move.
"Saru'te will not allow the ooman in. She will wait out here." the other said. Lu'tekke and the others heard the commotion and came out.
"What is the matter?" Lu'tekke asked, sensing the tension between Makane and the two guards.
"They will not let Dee into the meeting." Makane growled and Lu'tekke sighed. He looked at me, clearly annoyed at the situation.
"Dee, we must start the meeting, even if you are not present. I am sorry." he said. I nodded, understanding. Makane stepped forward, intending on staying with me but was stopped by Purre'de.
"We need you in the meeting, mei'hswei." he said firmly. Makane sighed, knowing he was right.
"She cannot be alone here. I do not trust the yautja here."
Lu'tekke nodded slightly.
"Weri'te, you will stay with Dee." he said, which Weri'te didn't look particularly happy with but he couldn't disobey his leader. He stepped forward and the rest of the group went inside. I felt a bit bad that he was stuck with me when he clearly didn't like me.
"Sorry you have to babysit me." I said, trying to lighten the situation. Weri'te just grunted, annoyed.
"I guess we should go wait somewhere." he said, adjusting his armour and starting to walk off. I followed, hurrying to keep up. He walked through the streets and stopped at a small water reserve near the middle of the clan settlement. I awkwardly stood beside him, not sure what to say. I could actually feel the tension coming off him, but I really didn't understand why he didn't like me so much. Some of the yautja back home weren't overly fond of me as a human, but he seemed to actually despise my presence.
We stood in a very tense and awkward silence for 10 minutes before he huffed.
"Have I done something to offend you?" I asked, deciding to just confront the issue. Weri'te looked surprised I'd dared to ask but frowned again quickly.
"You are ooman. You are weak and dead weight." he grunted. Ouch, he could've been a bit nicer about it.
"I can't be that weak, I've trained for months, I've clearly proved I'm worthy enough to be here. I don't understand what your problem is, Weri'te." I replied. He sighed and glared at me.
"You are still weak. Any of these yautja could kill you right now, I could kill you right now, and you could not do anything." he said, looking forward.
"You don't have to be an asshole, you know. I'm trying to be polite."
He looked back at me, with a weird look this time. It was almost longing, and he huffed again. He slowly sat down on the sand, and looked a bit defeated.
"Are you okay?" I asked, confused by the sudden mood change.
"Just be quiet, ooman." he grunted. I sat down too, keeping distance between us.
"Where were you from on Earth?" he asked after a few minutes of silence.
"Uh... I don't really know. I grew up... sheltered, very sheltered. I don't know what country I was in." I replied and he frowned and looked at me.
"Sheltered?"
"Yeah... I grew up in a lab. They were trying to give us powers or something but I don't think it worked."
"Oh... Makane didn't tell me about that. He said you came from... bad people."
"He wasn't wrong. They were bad. They... killed one of my closest friends, someone I consider a sister." I said, remembering Pepper. Weri'te looked at me more softly.
"You lost someone special?" he asked and I nodded.
"Yeah. Pepper. There were two guys too, Ben and Jakob, but I don't know if they're alive." I replied.
We fell into a silence for a while, and I felt sad talking about Pepper. I hadn't out loud since I left Earth.
"I lost someone too." Weri'te spoke up. He didn't look at me, but I could see the pain in his face.
"You did?" I asked and he nodded slightly.
"Emilia." he mumbled, then pressed something on his wrist gauntlet and an image projected. Him, younger, and a human woman. She looked similar to me, facial wise. Her hair was a dark brown, and her skin was beautifully tan with slight vitiligo on her face and arms.
"Who was she?" I asked gently.
"Everything." he replied quietly, staring at the picture. He turned the picture off and sighed. We fell into another silence before he sighed once more.
"She was my mate... when I was first Blooded. I met her when I first hunted on Earth." he said.
"Was it love at first sight?" I joked, hoping he got that human reference.
"She was trying to kill me."
"Oh."
"She came back with me to Yautja Prime and became my mate." he said, then went quiet. His face hardened slightly in pain and his mandibles tensed.
"What happened to her?" I asked softly, knowing it was clearly a touchy subject.
"She was killed." he stated. Oh god, how horrible. I wasn't sure what to say, he didn't seem like he wanted comfort but I couldn't just sit there in silence too.
"How... was she killed? By humans?"
He shook his head, his face tensing more in pain and anger.
"Yautja. Bad Bloods. She was unarmed and they killed her because she was not yautja." he replied.
"I'm so sorry, Weri'te. I can't imagine what it was like to lose a mate." I said softly. He grunted but seemed to appreciate my sympathy. We sat quietly together for a while, taking in the mutual pain of loss that we both now shared.
