25 - The final checkmark

The past few months with Jungkook have been nothing short of amazing. He's kind, funny, sexy, and somehow always manages to surprise me.
His apartment, which once felt like a cold, impersonal space, now feels like home. I've added little touches here and there—some cozy blankets, scented candles, and even a few plants (which he claims he'll forget to water, but I know he secretly does). And honestly, I spend more time here than at my own place... mostly because his bed is just too comfortable to leave.
This morning is no different. I wake up to the familiar feeling of his leg draped over me as he pulls me closer from behind. His warmth is comforting, and his scent—clean with a hint of something musky—is enough to make me want to stay in bed forever.
"Ugh, I hate mornings. Let's cancel them" he mumbles, his voice raspy from sleep.
"You mean... start the day at noon?" I tease, stretching slightly.
"I mean, the day shouldn't even begin until I'm tired of cuddling you, baby."
I laugh softly. "I thought you never get tired of cuddling me."
He presses his lips to my ear, his voice low. "That's true. So... all days should be banned."
Despite his protest, I eventually manage to drag him out of bed. We have a quick breakfast together, sipping coffee as he scrolls through his phone. Just as I finish my last sip, he looks up at me.
"Do you have plans this afternoon? If not, I'll pick you up from the daycare and take you somewhere. We've been spending too much time staring at bedroom walls lately."
I grin and press a kiss to his jawline. "Of course, let's go. And I won't even bother asking where—we both know you won't tell me."
He smirks. "You're getting to know me too well, baby." He places a soft kiss on my forehead before standing up. "I have to run now, but I'll see you later."
"Drive safe," I remind him before he heads out the door.

At the daycare, the kids are full of energy, excited about the warm spring weather. Eunji and I watch them play outside, chatting between ourselves when she suddenly turns to me with a curious look.
"Hey, Y/n... would you and Jungkook be up for a double date sometime?"
I raise an eyebrow. "Eunji... I didn't even know you were dating someone! Who's the lucky guy?"
A faint blush appears on her cheeks. "Remember the day you got your tattoo? Jimin and I went out for food afterward. We exchanged numbers and started talking... and well, two months ago, he asked me out. We've been together ever since."
"Eunji, that's amazing! I'm so happy for you" I say, hugging her. "And of course, we'd love to go on a double date. Just let me know when!"
The rest of the day goes by as usual. When work ends, I say goodbye to my colleagues and step outside to find Jungkook waiting for me. He looks effortlessly handsome in a suit, his dark hair slightly tousled, and in his hand—a single red rose.
I raise an eyebrow playfully. "Why the flower? Are you cheating on me?"
He smirks. "I'd never do that, doll. Actually, a gorgeous woman gave this to me. Her chest was about the size of my head. She even gave me her number—wait, let me show you."
My playful mood shifts to annoyance as I watch him reach into his pocket. Just as I'm about to glare at him, he pulls out his hand... forming a tiny heart with his thumb and index finger.
"You're ridiculous, Jungkook" I say, laughing.
He leans in, pressing a sweet kiss to my lips before handing me the rose. "We've officially been together for six months today. I figured it was worth celebrating."
I stare at him in surprise. "Kook... I didn't even realize."
"That's okay" he says, grinning mischievously. "You can make it up to me later..."
I playfully smack his arm. "Enough, Mr. Dirty Mind."

The air is crisp but pleasant as we settle in the park. Jungkook really put effort into this—there's a cozy picnic setup with sandwiches, snacks, drinks, and fresh fruit. It feels perfect.
He holds up a bottle of apple juice. "Doll, let's toast to you completing your bucket list. I haven't even properly congratulated you yet."
I smile, raising my drink. "Well, thank you. It took some effort."
We clink bottles, laughing softly, but then I pause. "Actually... there's still one thing I haven't done."
His brows lift in curiosity. "Oh? Show me."
I pull the small notebook from my bag, flipping to the last unchecked item. His eyes scan the page.
"'Say 'yes' to something completely out of my comfort zone'..." He smirks. "Hmm... I think I have an idea how we can cross this one off."
I tilt my head, intrigued. "I'm listening, Mr. Jeon."
He reaches into his bag and pulls out a small box, handing it to me.
"Kook... what is this?" I ask cautiously.
"You'll never know if you don't open it, doll."
My heart races a little as I lift the lid. Inside, there's a key. I look up at him, confused.
"Y/n," he says gently, "I know you love your place, but you also seem to love mine. And well... at this point, you have more clothes at my apartment than in your own." He chuckles, then continues. "I'd love for you to move in with me."
For a moment, I just stare at him, my eyes welling up.
"Y/n...? Did I say something wrong?" His voice is suddenly uncertain.
I quickly wipe away a tear, shaking my head. "No, Kook. You didn't. Yes... I'll move in with you."
His face lights up before he pulls me into a tight hug, pressing a deep kiss to my lips.
After a moment, I pull away, grinning. "But actually... this isn't outside of my comfort zone at all."
He smirks. "It's not? Don't worry, baby—I have plenty more ideas to help you cross off that last point."
