Annabeths POV One year passed since I moved back to San Francisco. I had to admit, I did miss New York a lot, but my life was perfect here. I have a perfect boyfriend, and the bestest friends ever. Steve was one of my new friends. He had curly brown hair, and always walked with a limp. He said that he did an operation when he was young which makes him use crutches sometimes.One afternoon everything changed. I thought Greek myths were just myths. Well that's totally wrong . Derek and I where sitting on the living room couch. We were watching the architecture channel. I never knew why I loved architecture, I just did. I loved strategizing and doing all kinds of smarty pants stuff. I was sitting down with Derek's head on my lap. I played with his hair. I did that when I was nervous, although he didn't know that.I felt something. Something was going to happen today, I just couldn't guess what . That's when something lizard-snake like burst in through the door. We jumped off of the couch together. We looked at the creature in horror. Derek stood in front of me so that he could protect me, but being the tough girl I am didn't let him. I stood next to him staring at the creature defiantly."Ooooooh, what do we have here? Two demigodsssssss I ssssssee" the snake like creature hissed. "What are you talking about?" I asked curiously. My eyes widened when I saw a sword stick through that thing. It disintegrated into golden dust. I saw Steve standing behind the thing with wild eyes and .... are those donkey legs?!? I suddenly felt light headed."Steve why are you half donkey?" Derek asked dumbfounded. "IM NOT A DONKEY IM A SATYR." He yelled. "What was that?" I ask quietly. "That was a Dracnae." I was pale as a ghost. "Chiron will explain everything when we get to camp"he said quickly. I had so many questions, yet I didn't know what to say. I guess Derek felt that too because his expression was the exact same.A/N Yes!! I've wanted them to go to camp half blood for weeks, since it's an important part in the plot.
