Chapter 48 Something Gained

Alan Rickman publicly announced his engagement to a young student of KCL Strand Campus named Jasmine Matthews a week after their reconciliation. It caused an uproar in Great Britain and even across the world. Julia being the couple's number one fan couldn't care less of what the netizens say on social media, she even bragged about the couple's harmonious relationship on a caught interview just recently. The little girl seems to have a knacked on showbizness, Alan expressed that he will support his daughter at whatever career she'll pursue in the future.

KCL Strand Campus' faculty members and students were very much shocked out of their wits with Alan's public announcement. Knowing full well that he cannot please everybody albeit the number of supporters outweighs the bashers, Alan informed Chloe and his co-professors of his intention to immediately step down on his teaching career should his relationship with Jasmine affect the university's reputation.

Alan was backed up by the KCL Administration and his co-professors as Jasmine's only a couple of months away to graduate besides her outstanding records in the university was also considered although Alan was jokingly warned not to display any overly acts of PDA inside the campus by the administration.

So far, Jasmine who has been keeping a low profile till now became the hot topic in London these couple of days, testimonies form her previous employers and co-employees came to her defense. Her trusted friends namely: Benedict, Tom and Lucifer each posted on their respective social media accounts to leave Jasmine and Alan alone. They even created #SnapedeservesJasmine that earns various supporters from their fan base as well as Alan's, it became a consistent number 1 trend post on twitter.

Jasmine knew from the very start the mix hate and love reactions she'll received the moment her relationship with Alan Rickman was announced publicly. She handled the issue pretty well knowing that the Lord Alan of the Rickman got her back.

The greatest hurdle for our heroine isn't how the world or the society in general perceives her to be but how Alan's family sees her. David and Alan were in a heated argument before because of her. She heard people call her among others, a gold digger and a social climber which is to be expected considering the age and financial gap between them. She is not expecting Alan's family to like her right away but she is hoping in the near future that they could all spent the holidays together.

Congratulatory letters from the orphanage Jasmine grew up with came and she cried reading them together with Alan, he soothes her tears with kisses every time tears fall from her eyes. Taylor and Lindt gagged seeing their Boss' PDA shenanigans.

Alan's graduation gift to Jasmine was a trip to visit the Harry Potter set which were filmed at Leavesden Film Studios. Alan made sure to bring to complete the main cast as much as possible (e.g. the golden trio, the Weasley family, the Malfoys, Minerva, Hagrid, Trewlawney, Flitwick, Remus, Sirius, Longbottom, Lovegood and Dumbledore), clad in their iconic costumes they welcomed soon to be Mr. and Mrs. Snape while Severus Snape himself escort his beloved inside.

Jasmine laughed and cried at the same time if that's even possible, the moment she saw his surprise. It was hella cute on Alan's perspective. Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Hiddleston and Lucifer Morningstar (the unlikely trio) were likewise present to capture the entire trip with their video cameras it'll probably be best to input it in the couple's pre-nuptial video.

Jasmine came in to the set dressed in her Hogwarts dress robes, she made sure to show Alan her pottermore account to convince him she was sorted to the Hufflepuff house, her wand was likewise custom made based on her pottermore account as part of Alan's surprise.

They shot a couple of scenes in the dungeons where the potions classroom is located. She even experienced sitting in one of Severus Snape's class, a bonus from Alan of course and bless his impromptu acting skills she had the best time of her life. It didn't end with just that as after their so-called class, Professor Snape handed her a bouquet of periwinkle (Jassy's favorite). Hugging her lover, she shouts an "I love you Alan Rickman" a bit louder than what she expected which earns laughs from the cast. Pressing his cheek against her temple, he mouthed his "I love you more, my love" ever so tenderly.

Even the people behind the scenes teased Alan for his PDA with whistling and cheer (J.K. Rowling being one of them).

To put the cherry in top, a simple exchanging of vows (the Witch and Wizard's Way) between soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. Rickman was held in the great hall filled with Hogwarts students nonetheless! It was a moment that'll forever be etched on Jasmine's whole being – Alan Rickman really is a force to be reckoned with, she sure acquired an amazing and out of this world husband.

YEARS LATER...

A woman and child could be seen walking hand-in-hand in the Hyde Park, the child presumably five years old were having difficulty with the mouthguard called splint inside his mouth. His dark brown hair perfectly compliments his pale amber eyes. His mother – Jasmine Rickman carried him to his arms knowing full well her son was being sulky after visiting his doctor.

"Do you need me to carry him?" Alan walked towards his wife and son.

Jasmine smiled. "We're fine."

"If you need extra to help," Julia said, "I'm here too."

"Thank you, sweetie," Jasmine lovingly smiled at her daughter. "Huey is lucky to have you for a big sister."

After a while, Huey made a sign to walk on his own, and the siblings held hands – their parents were just behind their backs. Huey's condition was the exact disability Alan suffered from his childhood, wherein the lower jaw was very tight causing words to come out as indistinct and muffled.

Alan became his son's mentor when it comes to speaking, still having trouble with pronunciation their son would be elated if his mom praises him each time, he got them right. Jasmine even hopes for Huey to inherit Alan's slow, calm delivery and the drawl that comes with it. Gushing how the world was blessed with another perfect voice (a study from 2008 claims that Alan Rickman had the perfect voice. The study base this on combination of tone, speed, frequency, words per minute and intonation).

Alan still couldn't help but find his wife's fangirl antics insanely adorable. Julia on the other hand was a protective and caring big sister she practiced with Huey and Alan from time to time. Despite his busy schedule Alan, make sure that his family will always be his top priority. His wife became a model for cosmetic brands and clothing line – she was discovered by an agent when her photos went viral on social media years ago following Alan's creation of an Instagram account.

The Rickmans closest friends dubbed Alan's IG as "married life show off" as it merely contains his wife's and daughter's photos or the iconic Mr. and Mrs. Snape photos. When Huey was born Alan opted to be more private on what to share to the world especially when his wife gained fan boys because of it. Alan can be really petty when jealousy strikes, he even conspired with Julia and Huey to ignore Jasmine after she came home from a photoshoot with an in demand male model.

Mr. and Mrs. Rickman found a bench to sat on while Julia and Huey ran off to play with the other children. The sunny weather and the cool breeze that makes the leaves dance as if on waltz was very relaxing and sets Alan's mood in peace, she turned to him smiling and he felt it to his soul.

"I love you, Jasmine." He said, because the words were as natural to him as breathing.

She moved closer to his side, resting her head on his shoulder. "I never felt happier in my life," she began kissing his hand and putting it close to her heart afterwards. "I love you Alan. Always will."

Kissing the temple of head, they watched as their children played joyfully with bubbles, their laughs were contagious and the married couple heartily laughs with them and with the addition of another child it'll surely become rowdy in the Rickman house.
