Michael was deep in sleep when he felt a hand shaking him urgently. At first, he groaned, barely opening his eyes.

"Michael," Giselle's voice came in a rushed whisper, filled with both excitement and panic. "Wake up. My water just broke."

Michael's eyes shot open instantly. His heart skipped a beat as his brain scrambled to process what she just said. "Waitβ€”what?" He sat up so fast that he nearly fell off the bed. His gaze dropped to where she stood beside him, her nightgown damp near the hem, and that's when it hit him.

The baby was coming.

"Oh, shit!" He jumped out of bed in a frenzy, already moving towards the closet. "Okay, okayβ€”uh, the bags! I gotta get the bags!"

Giselle let out a deep breath, gripping the edge of the dresser for support. "Yes! Get the bags, Michael! And hurry up!"

Michael was moving at lightning speed, running around the room like a madman. He grabbed the hospital bags, the car keys, and threw on a hoodie before dashing back to her side.

"Alright, baby, I got everything," he said, slinging the bags over his shoulder. "How you feeling? Are you in pain?"

Giselle exhaled through her nose, trying to remain calm. "Not yet, but I can feel the contractions starting. We gotta go now."

She picked up her phone and quickly called Solange and Aaliyah, her voice rushed but steady. "Y'all, it's happening. We're heading to the hospital now. Meet us there."

Michael was already guiding her out of the bedroom, his arm around her waist as they made their way downstairs. His mind was racing, but he kept it together for her. This was it. Their daughter was on the way.

The moment they stepped outside, he helped her into the car, buckling her in as fast as possible before tossing the bags into the backseat.

As he slid into the driver's seat and started the engine, he reached for her hand, squeezing it tightly. "Alright, baby, let's go bring our little girl into the world."

Giselle let out a nervous laugh, squeezing his hand back. "Drive fast, Michael, but don't get us killed!"

Michael smirked as he hit the gas, speeding down the road. "I got you, baby. We're gonna make it."

And with that, they raced toward the hospital, their lives about to change forever.

-

The drive to the hospital felt like the longest one of Michael's life, even though he was speeding like a maniac down the LA streets. Giselle sat in the passenger seat, gripping the door handle and breathing deeply, her contractions coming closer together.

In between the sharp breaths, she managed to call Katherine. "Ma, we're on our way to the hospital. Can you come stay with Prince?"

Katherine, ever the calm presence, reassured her. "Of course, baby. I'll be there right away. Don't you worry about a thing. Just focus on bringing that little girl into the world."

By the time they reached the hospital, nurses were already waiting with a wheelchair. Michael jumped out first, rushing to open Giselle's door and help her out. "I got you, baby," he murmured, kissing her temple as she winced through another contraction.

The nurses wheeled her inside while Michael carried the bags, heart pounding like crazy. He wasn't scaredβ€”no, he was excited. Anxious, but excited.

Inside, they got Giselle into a private room, hooking her up to monitors and checking how far along she was. "You're about five centimeters dilated," the doctor informed them. "Still got a little ways to go, but you're progressing fast."

Michael sat beside Giselle on the hospital bed, holding her hand while she rested in between contractions. "You okay, baby?"

She exhaled deeply, nodding. "Yeah... just tired. But she's coming, I can feel it."

They sat in comfortable silence for a moment before Michael smiled. "So... we still set on Blue Ivy?"

Giselle turned her head toward him, a soft smile on her face despite the exhaustion. "Yeah. I love it. Blue Ivy Jackson. It just feels right."

Michael kissed the back of her hand. "Then it's settled. Our little Blue Ivy."

Hours passed, and the pain became more intense. Giselle gritted her teeth, squeezing Michael's hand so tight he was sure she was cutting off his circulation. But he didn't care. He stayed right by her side, wiping the sweat from her forehead, whispering reassurances, and reminding her how strong she was.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the doctor announced, "Alright, Giselle, it's time to push."

Michael's heart pounded as he positioned himself next to her, his hands on her shoulders. "You got this, baby. I'm right here."

Giselle let out a shaky breath and, with the doctor's count, started pushing. The room filled with encouragement from nurses and doctors, but Michael only focused on herβ€”his strong, beautiful wife, bringing their daughter into the world.

"Come on, mama, you're almost there!" the nurse cheered.

Giselle let out a cry of effort, gripping Michael's hand with all her strength.

"One more big push, Giselle!" the doctor instructed.

With every ounce of energy left in her body, Giselle pushed one last time, and thenβ€”

A baby's cry filled the room.

Michael's chest tightened, his eyes instantly stinging with tears as he looked down at the tiny, wriggling newborn in the doctor's hands. "Oh my God..." he whispered.

The doctor held her up. "Congratulations! It's a beautiful baby girl."

Giselle collapsed back onto the bed, panting but smiling. Tears slipped down her face as she watched the nurse clean their daughter. "She's here," she whispered in disbelief.

Michael wiped his eyes, kissing Giselle's forehead before looking at their baby girl again. "She's perfect."

A moment later, the nurse brought the wrapped-up bundle and placed her in Giselle's arms. Their daughter. Their little Blue Ivy.

Michael leaned down, gently running his fingers over her tiny face. "Hey, baby girl," he whispered, voice thick with emotion. "Daddy's here."

Giselle looked up at him, eyes filled with nothing but love. "We did it, Michael."

He kissed her softly. "You did it, baby. You're amazing."

As Blue Ivy let out a little yawn, Michael rested his forehead against Giselle's, feeling more complete than ever. Their family was growing, their love stronger than ever.

And in that moment, nothing else mattered.

-

The hospital room was calm, the only sounds being the soft beeping of the monitors and the tiny coos coming from the bundle in Giselle's arms. Blue Ivy was sleeping peacefully, her tiny fingers wrapped around Giselle's thumb. She looked so much like Michael alreadyβ€”his nose, his soft curls, and those same deep brown eyes that had already stolen her heart.

Michael sat beside them on the bed, one arm draped around Giselle's shoulders while the other gently stroked Blue's little hand. "She's so small," he whispered. "I don't even wanna blink. I might miss something."

Giselle let out a soft laugh. "Get used to it, Daddy. She's gonna grow up faster than we want her to."

A knock on the door interrupted their moment, and a nurse peeked in with a smile. "You up for some visitors?"

Giselle nodded, already knowing their family and friends were impatiently waiting outside. "Yeah, let them in."

The door swung open, and in came a wave of love and excitement.

First was Katherine, holding Prince's hand as he eagerly rushed inside. "Mommy!" Prince squealed, running to the bed and climbing up with Michael's help. His little face lit up as he saw his baby sister. "She's here?"

Giselle smiled, tilting Blue slightly so he could see her better. "Yeah, baby. This is your little sister, Blue Ivy."

Prince's tiny fingers reached out, gently touching her hand. "She's so little," he whispered, looking up at Michael. "Like, really little."

Michael chuckled. "Yeah, but she'll get bigger, just like you did."

Prince thought about it for a moment, then grinned. "So I can teach her stuff?"

Giselle kissed his cheek. "Of course, baby. You're her big brother. She's gonna look up to you."

Katherine wiped a few tears away as she leaned in to get a closer look at Blue. "Oh, she's just perfect," she whispered. "She looks so much like you, Michael."

Michael smiled proudly. "I was thinking the same thing."

Next came Solange and Aaliyah, both practically pushing each other to get inside first. "Oh my God, she's here!" Aaliyah whispered excitedly, covering her mouth as she saw Blue Ivy sleeping. "She's gorgeous, Gigi."

Solange leaned down, smiling. "Damn, sis, y'all really made a beautiful baby."

Marlon and Chris followed close behind, both grinning as they took in the sight of the newborn. "Man, I already feel sorry for any dude that tries to come near her in the future," Marlon joked, nudging Michael. "You better start planning, big bro."

Michael smirked. "Oh, trust me. I already got that covered."

Giselle rolled her eyes playfully. "Y'all are not about to stress me out about boys when she's only a few hours old."

The room filled with laughter as more of the family filtered in. Janet arrived next, gently holding one of Blue's tiny hands. "She's perfect," she whispered. "She's gonna be spoiled with so much love."

Latoya, Rebbie, Jermaine, Tito, and even Jackie and her mother tina, all came through, each taking a moment to hold the baby, coo over her, and congratulate the new parents. The love in the room was overwhelming.

As Giselle watched everyone fawn over Blue, she leaned into Michael's embrace, feeling nothing but gratitude. Their family was complete. Their love had created something so pure, so beautiful.

And as she glanced at Michael, who was holding Blue Ivy in one arm and Prince in the other, she knewβ€”this was everything she had ever dreamed of.
