Chapter 42

🍑 Savannah's POV 🍑Tears of pure joy streamed down my face upon reading the results of the pregnancy test. I had never wanted anything more in my life than to be a mother but the possibility of that happening was always something that the doctors said would never be in the cards for me.

"Savanna, open up.. are you ok?" Said Jax from the other side of the closed door.

I couldn't bring myself to speak. Reaching over, I opened the door and let him into the bathroom with me. I walked right into him, hugging him tightly, and let the tears roll down my face.

"Shhh, it's ok. Well keep trying baby. I promise. We will keep trying." Whispered Jax.

Still unable to speak, I grabbed the test from the counter and gave it to him. When Jax saw the results, he too started crying.

"You're pregnant? Like really pregnant?" He asked in disbelief.

"Yes." I managed between the tears.

"Baby i though you were crying because the results were negative." Said Jax.

"No, I'm really pregnant." I said as tears continued to stream down my face. I couldn't wipe the smile that had taken up residency off my face.

"Do you know how happy I am?" Asked Jax.

"No where near as happy as me." I replied.

"Thats might be true." Said Jax as he placed a kiss on the top of my head as his hands gripped each side of my face. Forcing me to tilt my head back, i looked up at his gorgeous blue eyes. "I love you so much baby."

"I love you too Jax."

"So, I was going to make a big deal out of doing this but with the news you've just given me, I can't think of a better time that now." Said Jax.

I watched as he reached into his pocket and dragged out a black ring box. Sinking to his knees. He grabbed my hand and looked up at me.

"Savannah Madison Jackson, I love you with all of my being. You have made me the happiest man in just a short amount of time and made me feel things that I never thought I would feel. Marry me?" He said as he opened the box, revealing the ring inside.

"I already told you I would marry to Jax" I said as I sank to the floor with him. He slipped the ring on my finger and then kissed my hand when he had just placed the ring.

"I know baby. But I wanted to do this the right way. You deserve to be properly proposed to." He said.

"This is turning out to be the best day ever Jax. The ring is beautiful." I said as I looked at it.

"Not as beautiful as you are baby. And not as beautiful at this baby is going to be. Come on, we have to tell Abel and Thomas." Said Jax as she spots and dragged me to standing as well.

"Let wait on telling them okay. Let's see what the doctor says okay?" I said. I didn't want to tell Abel and Thomas they were going to be big brothers if the doctor thought things weren't going to be okay.

"Everything going to be okay. I can feel it. But we can wait if you want." Said Jax before leaning in and kissing me gently. Resting his hands on my belly, he he leaned back and looked at it before speaking. "I wasn't there for Abel and Thomas's pregnancies or births because of the club but I promise, I will be there every single step of the way for this little peanut. Nothing is going to keep me from witnessing the birth of at least one of my kids."

Jax, the kids, and I all spent the rest of the evening sitting on the couch, watching tv and just being a family until he got a call.

Taking the phone out onto the back porch, Jax stopped outside while the kids and I watched tv. After a few moments, Jax came back in.

"I gotta go to the club house babe." He said as she sat down on the coffee table in front of me.

"Everything okay?" I asked.

"Not sure. Fill you in when I get back?" He said.

"Sure."

"I love you." He said.

"I love you too." I replied.

"You teo be good for Savannah ok?" Said Jax talking to both Abel and Thomas.

"They'll be no problem." I said. "They're angels when for me."

"Ok. I shouldn't be to long but you don't have to wait up if you get tired." Said Jax before leaning in and giving me a kiss.

"Okay. Love you now get out of here so we can finish Bubble Guppies." I said jokingly as I swatted him on the ass. He looked back at me smiling but I knew I was in for it- in a good way- when he got got back.Oh goodie!

☠️ Jax's POV ☠️ When I arrived at the club house, everyone was already there. Walking inside, I noticed everyone was gathered around the bar. 

"What's going on?" I asked, altering everyone of my presence.

"Jarry got her guy." Said Tig.

"Great. But why did I have to come down?" I asked.

"It seems that when they searched Hiroshima's place, they found countless photos of the kids, you, Savannah. There are even a few with your mom in them. These guys have been watching you for a long time Jax." Said Montez.

"How long?" I asked.

"Some of the pictures date back to before you moved. Before Gemma came clean about making up the lie." Said Tig.

The club knew the truth about Tara's death. They knew what I had done to make sure that justice wasn't served. Thankfully, none of them judged me for it because they would have done the same thing.

"But why attack now?" I asked.

"My guess? Because you're with Savannah. They aim to take something from you since you took something from them." Said Rat.

"Is there reason to support that?" I asked.

"Just that they had pictures of her. Has she noticed anything strange?" Asked Chibs.

"Not that I know of. I mean she was in Georgia for a days as you know and before that, she hasn't mentioned anything." I said.

"Well, it would probably still be best for all of us to keep an eye on her." Said Tig.

"Especially since she's pregnant." I said under my breath.

"What did you say boss?" Asked Rat.

"I said that out loud didn't I?" I said. "Shit, we were going to wait to tell everyone after her first appointment but yeah, she's pregnant."

Congrats filled the room, forgetting about thr bad shit that was happening for at least a moment.

"You boys can't say anything. I mean nothing. Savannah was told she'd never have kids. So she doesn't want to start telling people until she knows that everything is ok." I explained.

"You won't hear a word Jax." Said Chibs.

"Good. Now, back to the topic at hand. What do we do know? Any ideas as to why they had been surveilling me for so long but waiting until I was out of the state to attack?" I said.

"No. Althea is working on cracking him but it could take some time. Especially if the bastard lawyers up." Said Chibs.

"Yeah. Tell her to press him... hard. In the meantime, I want each of us on red alert. Bring the old ladies in, lock the club house down. I might be over reacting, but I'd rather be safe than sorry." I said.

"I'll start making calls." Said Rat.

"Okay. I want everyone here tomorrow morning. Quinn, get a few of the crow eaters to stock the fridge. Tig, stock the bar and the Arsenal. We want to be ready if these fuckers decide to strike." I said.

"You think they'll be stupid enough to attack if their boss is in lock up?" Asked Montez.

"Hard to tell with these bastards. Like I said, let's just be safe." I said. As the guys all nodded in agreement. "Alright, let's get to work."

"Can I get a word boss?" Said Chibs when it was just the two of us standing there.

"Sure. Chapel?" I said.

Nodding in agreement, Chibs and I walked into the chapel. It was unusual for Chibs to need a moment alone with me which meant that whatever he had to say was worth listening too and that the rest of the guys didn't need to hear it.

"So what's up?" I asked as I took a seat at the table.

"It's Althea. She can't take time off work. She's on call the next few days and with her being sheriff, she's on the front lines Jackie boy. Plus, there the whole baby issue." Said Chibs.

"Yeah. Can she go out early? Get a forged doctors note?" I asked.

"No, no one to cover for her." Said Chibs.

"Ok. Well, you stay with her 24/7. As far as San Jua sheriffs are concerned, you're one of them until we figure out what they have planned." I said.

"Oh I will. That's what I was going to tell you. I wouldn't be around and locked down with everyone because I would be with her." Said Chibs.

"I hear ya. So, you think these guys will come after us?" I asked.

"Kinda hard to say Jackie Boy. Their boss is in lockup but they put in a lot of time watching you. Makes you think they aren't done." Said Chibs.

"Yeah. It does. Anyway, I'm gonna head back to the house. Tell Savannah what's going on and that we'll need to stay here for a couple nights." I said as I stood from the table.

"See you in the day light." Said Chibs.

But the time I got home, it was nearing 10:00. Walking into the house, I found Savannah and the kids passed out on the couch while Spongebob rambled on. Both of the boys had their heads resting in Savannah's lap while her hands were on their back. Seeing her like this warmed my heart and made my love for her grow even more.

Walking behind the couch, I placed a tender kiss on her temple and whispered in her ear "Baby, I'm home."

Her eyes fluttered open, looking up at me.

"Hey" she said around a yawn.

"Hey. I'm going to lay the boys on the bed in the spare room. Let's go lay down. I got some things to tell you." I whispered not wanting to wake the boys.

"Okay."

After putting the boys to bed, I met Savannah in the bedroom. She was already laying down. Stripping down to my boxers, I climbed in beside her. I told her about what Chibs and the club had said about the guy who bombed my house.

"He has picture of me?" She asked shocked.

"Yeah. Of all of us. Even has pictures of my mom." I said as I played with her hair.

"So, what do we do? How do we know we're safe?" Said Savannah. I could tell she was scared.

"We're gonna lock down at the club house for a few days. See if Althea can get this guy to rat his boys out. Once things are safe, you and I will find us a bigger place." I said as I placed my hands on her belly.

"How long?" She asked.

"Not sure.. could be 3 days. Could be longer. If Althea can't get this guy to turn rat, then at least it will give her a few days to get extra patrols in the area to help make sure everyone stays whole." I said.

"I gotcha." Said Savannah.

"Look, I know your scared. I'm scared too. Not of these guys but of what could happen to you, Abel, Thomas, and peanut. I might be overreacting putting us in lockdown, but I will feel better knowing that you guys are there and safe." I said and I propped myself up on my elbow looking down at her.

"Okay. I'll get some things together. What about the kids? I don't have anything here for them?" She said.

"Then I guess you're going shopping while I keep the kids at the club house. I'll have someone go with you to make sure no one harms you." I said.

"Ok. I need to make sure that I remember to call an OBGYN tomorrow and schedule and appointment me too." She said.

"Definitely. I want to know everything is okay with peanut." I replied. "Now, let's both get some sleep. Tomorrow is a busy day."
