Chapter 2

Today was the day that the villain kids would arrive. Everything was ready for their arrival. It was Misty and Ben's job, and apparently Audrey's to greet the villain kids once they arrive and show them around the school. Basically to make them feel welcomed.

Currently Misty was asleep in her bedroom (Misty and Ben don't have to share a dorm with anyone) when Ben barges in and shakes her awake "M, wake up. The villain kids arrive today. Wake up." She groans and sits up "I'm up, I'm up. Why do you have so much energy in the morning" she gets out of bed and stretches. Ben shrugs, M rolls her eyes "Alright go, I've got to get ready"she shoos him away. Ben rolls his eyes gets out of her room.

M walks over to her closet and pulls out a short light green halter neck. "I guess this will do" she grabs it off the hanger and begins to put it on. Once she was about to connect the halter top on her neck, someone walked into her room.

(This is the dress Misty is wearing)

She turns and sees Audrey walking in and sitting on Misty's bed crossing her arms. M walks out of her closet holding the top her to her chest, she sees Audrey and her eyes widen "Audrey what are you doing here, shouldn't you be getting ready?" She asks. Audrey turns to her and looks at her up and down a bit "love the dress, oh let me help you with that, and I should but I wanted to see you, and I wanted to talk, about Ben." She says standing up and behind Misty connecting the halter top around Misty's neck then hugging herself slightly and sitting back on the bed.

Misty sits next to her and wraps an arm around her. She knew this wasn't like Audrey, she was confident and bubbly, but now she was quiet speaking in a low tone, she knew something was bothering her. Audrey places her head on Misty's shoulder. "What about Ben, what did he do." Misty asks rubbing small circles on Audrey's back. Audrey sighs "Ben has been more distant lately I know we haven't been as close as we used to but still, did I do something wrong, has he said anything to you, M?" She asks  looking up her from where she rests on Misty's shoulder.

Misty looks at her taken aback, she loved her brother but sometimes he can do stupid stuff. Ben hung around M a lot so as a result Audrey would too, being as Ben was her boyfriend. Soon Misty and Audrey became best friends, did Misty agree with everything Audrey did, no, but she is helping her get over her bad habits, and help her be more nice. M hugged Audrey and sighed "You know you are my best friend right?" Misty asked. Audrey nodded her head "Then you know what I'm about to say I mean with love, Audrey don't you think Ben is a little tired of you introducing him as 'Prince Ben' and that he is the brother of the future queen. By you saying it all the time it makes it seem that you are just using him for a title and status. I know you aren't but I also know your Grammy is influencing you a bit to want to high status. Don't let her words get to you, be your own person. But with that being said, he is also at fault because he is not talking to you about the issue, by avoiding it and by distancing himself to avoid the conversation and possible conflict. You both are in a relationship you need to communicate with each other." She says wholeheartedly.

Audrey looks at her and when she finishes talking she lifts her head from Misty's shoulder. She nods slightly as she looks down. "Maybe you're right, I didn't think about that. I will try to be better" she says still looking down. Misty places her hands on her shoulders "that's all I ask" she smiles "now go get ready, we have to meet the new kids in a bit." Misty says giving her a side hug. Audrey nods and stands up and is about to leave but Misty tells her to wait. She walks in her closet and pulls out a pink dress and hands it to her "I saw it at a shop a couple of weeks ago, I thought you might like it." M smiles.

Audrey's eyes widened and her jaw dropped slightly. She walks forward and took the bottom of the dress in her hands and stares at it for a bit. She then looks at Misty and smiles she hugs her "thank you, you didn't have to do that" she says quietly. M wraps her arms around her "I know but I wanted to. You don't have to wear it today but I wanted to give it to you now." M says. "You are my closest friend, so i wanted do something for you." Misty says. "Now go get ready." Misty and Audrey laugh and Audrey thanks her, she places a kiss on Misty's cheek and leaves the room with the dress. Misty's eyes widened and she placed her fingers where Audrey had kissed, she felt her cheeks burning up, but she shakes her head to get out of her trance and goes back to getting ready.

(This is the dress Misty gave Audrey)M finishes getting ready she walks outside to the front of the school, where everyone was gathered. She stands next to Fairy Godmother in front of the statue of her father. After a minute Ben and Audrey meet up with her and stands next to her while they wait for the new kids to arrive.

Soon a black limo pulled up to the front of them and a door opens and two boys fall out fighting over something as two girls walk out and stands next to the fighting boys. In the corner of my eye I see Ben look at the girl with purple hair, which she knows is Mal, the daughter of Maleficent. She thought nothing of it and continued to smile at the villain kids.

"Just cleaning up" the boy with the long hair says, the boy Misty knew to be Jay, son of Jafar. I noticed he was holding some pice of technology that was being used in the limo. "Leave it like you found it" Fairy Godmother says in a sing song tone. "And by that I mean just leave it" she says in a more serious tone. Jay sighs and throws the device back in the limo, along with the blue blanket that him and Carlos, the son of Curela De Vil, were fighting over. The driver closes the door of the limo.

Jay looks over at Audrey and smirks and starts to walk over to her "Hello foxy, the name's Jay" he says looking at her up down. Audrey chuckles nervously/awkwardly as she looks at him. Misty snorted at her reaction. Then Jay's eyes shifted to Misty, his smirk widened and as he opened his mouth to say something Fairy Godmother notices and leans in front of Audrey to get Jay's attention. "Welcome to Auradon Prep." She says giving a thin smile at the boy. Jay's smile falters a bit. Fairy Godmother stands straight again to face the rest of the kids "I'm Fairy Godmother, headmistress." She says giving a small curtsy.

Mal's eyes widened a bit "The fairy Godmother? As in bibidi bobidi bo?" She asked making a motion to make it look like she was waving a wand around. Fairy Godmother nods and smiles "Bibidi Bobidi you know it!" She says pointing at Mal. "Yeah, I always wondered what it felt like for Cinderella, when you just appeared, out of nowhere, with that sparkly wand and a warm smile. And that sparkly wand." She says clasping her hands together. Misty tilted her head slightly, Mal had emphasized the wand. Misty brushed it off but kept it in mind.

"That was a long time ago. And as I always say, "don't focus on the past or you'll forget the future."" Fairy Godmother says doing little hand motions to help her point. Misty, Ben and Audrey step forward a little bit ahead of Fairy Godmother. "It's so good to finally meet all of you, I'm Misty, and this is my brother Ben" Misty says smiling and gestures to her brother who is standing next to her. Audrey looks at him "Prince Benjamin. His sister, Misty is the soon to be queen." She says bubbly. Misty looks over at her with a 'what did we talk about' look and Audrey catches the gaze and goes back to her normal stature.

Then a blue haired girl , Evie, daughter of the Evil Queen, walks forward and looks at Ben "You had me at Prince. My mom's a queen. Which makes me a princess." She looks at him and gives a small curtsy. Audrey shakes her head slightly still having a smile on her face, "The Evil Queen has no royal status here and neither do you" she scrunches her nose. Evie's smile falls.M chuckles nervously and walks over to Audrey and places her hands on her shoulders and looks at Evie "The Evil Queen had a kingdom and Snow White never took over so, yes you would be considered a princess." She says smiling slightly at Evie. Evie returns a smile back.

"This is Audrey" M says taking her hands off her shoulders and walking back to stand next to Ben. Audrey holds up her finger at Misty. "Princess Audrey, Ben's girlfriend." She says looking at Ben with a smile and grabbing his hand them linking hands in front of Fairy Godmother. "Right Benny-boo?" They both chuckle, Misty sighs quietly. "Misty, Ben and Audrey will show you around. And I'll see you tomorrow." Fairy godmother grabs Ben and Audrey's held hands. "The doors of wisdom are never shut" she says lifting their hands up and separating them, symbolizing doors being opened. "But the library hours are from 8:00 to 11:00. And as you may have heard, I have a little thing about curfews" she says looking at all four of the villain kids.

Then Fairy Godmother and the band leave the front of the school. After the band leaves Misty steps forward still giving them space, knowing they were very weary about everything. "It is so good to finally meet all of you" Misty says looking at all of them. But Ben, not being able to get the memo, goes up to all of them and shakes their hands with a happy expression. Misty sighs knowing it was just her brother's friendly attitude that makes him want to greet everyone personally. When he got to Mal he shook her hand and he stared at her for a bit longer than everyone else. After like two seconds Misty stands next to him and looks up at him and clears her throat "Ben." Ben snaps out of his small trance and moves on to shaking hands with Carlos. Misty looks at Mal and gives an apologetic look and mouthed 'sorry' to her, Mal gave her a thin smile in return. Misty walks back to stand next to Audrey.

After Ben shakes all their hands Misty says "This is a momentous occasion, and one that I hope will go down in history." Misty says as Ben moves to stand next to her. "As the day our two peoples began to heal" Ben says confidently and a tad bit dramatic. She gives him a slight look, Ben not noticing, but Audrey did and chuckled softly. "Or the day you show four peoples where the bathrooms are." Mal said trying to get this whole interaction over with. Ben chuckled and turned to her "A little bit over the top?" He asked. "A little more than a little bit" she shrugged. "Well so much for my first impression" They both chuckled and looked at each other for a bit. Misty opened her mouth to say something, but Audrey beat her to it.

"Hey, you are Maleficent's daughter, aren't you? Yeah, you know what, I totally don't blame you for your mother trying to kill my parents and stuff." Audrey says sarcastically, Misty scrunches her face slightly and it takes her a lot of restraint to not crawl out of her skin based on how this whole incident is playing out. "Oh my mom's Aurora, Sleeping-" Audrey was to finish but is interrupted by Mal. "Beauty. I've heard the name." Audrey holds onto Ben's arm as they look at Mal. "You know, and I totally do not blame your grandparents for inviting everyone in the whole world, but my mother, to their stupid Christening." Mal says with the same amount of sarcasm back at Audrey. "Water under the bridge" Audrey asked "totes" Mal replies as they both let out forced laughter and let out a long sigh.

Misty then walks a little bit between them "Ok, that was hard to watch. Now how about a tour" she claps her hands and turns on her heels and starts to lead the tour. Misty starts to walk backwards as she points to the building behind her. "Auradon Prep. originally built over three hundred years ago and converted into a high school by Ben and I's father when he became king." She says turning to face the front and walking towards the statue of her father. As they walked Audrey and Ben walked behind Misty, Audrey's arm is linked with Ben's, and the villain kids following behind.

They walk up to the statue of King Adam, and Misty claps her hands twice and the statue changes from a human to a beast. Carlos jumps back and yelps at the sight of it changing. M looks back and noticed how scared Carlos looked " oh I'm sorry Carlos. I just wanted to demonstrate that my father wanted his statue to morph from beast to man, to remind us that anything is possible.I didn't mean to scare you, I'm sorry" She says giving him an apologetic look.

"Does he shed much?" Mal asked not looking away from the statue. "Yeah, mom doesn't let him on the couch" Ben replied jokingly. Misty then turns to Ben and sees him looking at Mal, who was looking back up at the statue. She then lightly elbows him in the side. He lets out a small 'oof' and looks at her confused, she gives him a 'really' look, then her eyes shift to Mal then to Audrey, he looks at to where she is looking and gives her a confused expression. She lightly rolls her eyes and goes back to guiding the tour.

They all walk into the building and enter the main entrance into the lobby when Mal asked "so you guys have magic here in Auradon? Like wands and things like that." Misty slows down and faces her, she tilts her head again. There is another mention of a wand, Misty is starting to notice a pattern. "Yeah it exists of course, but it is pretty much retired. Most of us here are just ordinary mortals" Misty says trying to gauge Mal's reaction. "Who happens to be kings and queens." Mall said in response. Audrey then pipes in "that's true, Our royal blood goes back hundreds of years." She said grabbing Ben's arm and wrapping around her shoulders.

Misty can sense the awkwardness and notices Doug walking down the stairs. She calls him over, and walks over to him. Misty places a hand on his shoulder "This is Doug he is going to help you with your class schedules, and show you the rest of the dorms. Ben, Audrey and I should be going now, again it was great to meet all of you. Now if you excuse us." Misty says grabbing both Ben and Audrey's arms and bringing them down the hallway by Ben and Misty's rooms. She lets go of them and Misty turns to Audrey "I need to talk to Ben really quick, we are going to talk later, but I need to talk to Ben first, ok?" Audrey nods and gives Ben a kiss on the cheek and hugs Misty. Misty hugs back and when she pulls back she watches as Audrey leaves to her dorm.

Misty then turns to Ben and pulls him into Ben's room and closes the door behind her. She looks at him with an upset expression. "What the heck was that!?" She raised her voice. Ben looked at her taken aback "what are you talking about." He asked confused. Misty closed her eyes and sighs while pinching the bridge of her nose with her right hand and her left hand on her hip. "You were staring and practically flirting with Mal in front of Audrey, who is your girlfriend might I add. And you don't seem bothered by it at all." She says annoyed.

"Mal, that's her name..." he says smiling softly looking dreamily at nothing in particular. Misty looks up at him and goes over and hits him upside the head. "Ow!" He said rubbing where she hit. "This is what I'm talking about Ben. You are in a relationship but you were making goo goo eyes for someone else. What is with you lately, even Audrey has noticed. She is hurting because of it. She came to me this morning because she was worried she did something wrong to make you avoid her. Does everything Audrey does acceptable, no, but she is working on it, to better your guys relationship, but based on what I've seen over time, heck even from what I saw today and what Audrey has told me, you aren't putting in the work, and based on what I've witnessed in the past hour, the odds aren't in your favor, Ben. So tell me what is making you react this way?" She says crossing her arms.

He gave a slight shrug. She rolled her eyes and sighed "Ben, you need to make a very important decision to make. You either stay with Audrey and you work on your relationship like she has, and meet her half way, so she doesn't have to waste her time and energy on something that isn't going to get fixed. Or, break up with Audrey so she doesn't hurt anymore. I can't stand to see my best friend in pain. So make your choice, Benjamin." She says walking to his door. Ben looks down ashamed. M opens the door and as she is about to close it she turns to him "Oh and Ben." Ben looks up at her.

"Don't do anything stupid, 'cause if you do, it won't end well" she says as she closes the door behind her, leaving Ben alone with his thoughts.
