Chapter 30: Fight

08:39, 21 June 2021

"Hehehehehehe," A shrill laughter came from the middle of the Forest of Death. "Hahahahahahahahahaha!" The laughter continued, the laughter of a mad man.

Naruto looked into a small puddle with a wide grin etched across his face as laughter poured out of his mouth, seeing the purple glow of his new Rinnegan in his left eye socket in the reflection of the puddle. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" He screamed laughing as he grabbed his chest and stood up, throwing his head into the air.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" The power he felt pulsing from the Rinnegan he stole from Nagato was intoxicating. He felt like he could do whatever he wanted. He finally had the power to change the future.

"I guess you ignored Inoichi's advice, Naruto." A figure said as they stepped into the light, revealing Jiraiya with a look of disappointment spread across his face clearly. "Tsunade-hime told me what you said in the meeting with the council, are you going to be a hungry monster like Orochimaru?"

Naruto's laughter ceased as he turned to Jiraiya slowly, his singular blue eyes wide and shining with insanity. "I'm so close," He whispered, his voice high pitched. He took a single step towards. "Somebody has to save the future, somebody had to! And when I first got transported here I knew I had to do it! No, I was the only one that could!" The smile on his face only got bigger.

"You need to calm down and take a look in the mirror as to what you're becoming!" Jiraiya shouted.

"This world is going to be turned to nothingness! I know what I'm doing is wrong, but there's no other way! The world has to be saved! A purpose given to me," A giggle escaped his throat. "Only I could do it. WHO ELSE COULD HAVE DONE IT?! AND COME THIS FAR?! WOULD THEY HAVE KEPT GOING?!"

"You don't have to do it alone!" Jiraiya shouted back in reply. "Quit thinking that this is only your burden to bear! This is our world too!" Naruto shook his head and bent down to his knees, clutching his head with his hands, his knuckles white.

"No, my world was destroyed. The only person who can save this world," The Rinnegan in his eye socket pulsed as all of the trees around Naruto and Jiraiya were suddenly destroyed by a push. "Is me!" He said so darkly that Jiraiya had to fight a shiver that threatened to crawl up his spine at his apprentice's tone.

"There's a war coming," Naruto whispered as he peered up at the blue sky above them, not a single cloud in sight. "Madara Uchiha will be revived. If we can't beat him then I'll fail again."

"So it's all about you huh?" Jiraiya said with his arms crossed. "You don't care about this world, not really, you only care that you'll fail again."

"Of course I am!" Naruto shouted angrily and he pointed at Jiraiya. "Do you think I want to see your corpse on that battlefield? Do you think I want to watch Sakura die again? Neji? Lee? If I fail then they die and we're not so sure I'll get the reset this time are we? No! I'm not going to risk letting those I care about die again! I'm going to save this world not for myself, but for them!"

". . ." Jiraiya remained silent. How could he respond to that? He saw how passionate Naruto was about this. He had been wrong with his initial assessment. . . for now. "I'm worried about you, Naruto."

Naruto dusted off of his pants swung his cloak back on before turning around and walking away. "Don't," He replied as he stalked off. "I don't need it." He disappeared in a yellow flash after that.

One Month Later

Naruto heard a knock on his apartment door and swung his legs off of his couch and opened the door only to see six different Anbu with their swords out as they stood behind Tsunade who had a grim look on her face.

"Yes?" He asked. Tsunade's frown only deepened.

"The Five Kage Summit has been called. The reason is to discuss how the Hidden Leaf broke international law by destroying the Hidden Rain and its entire population." Naruto looked at her for a second, his Rinnegan eye and lone blue one meeting her golden honey-colored ones and she felt as if he were staring into her soul before he nodded.

"Will I have to be handcuffed?" She nodded. He sighed. "Let me take a shower and get a new pair of clothes on and I'll meet you at the gates. I promise I'll go willingly." Tsunade nodded, believing the blond.

"Fine, if you're later than twenty minutes you'll have your chakra sealed." Naruto wordlessly closed the door in her face. She narrowed her eyes but signaled the Anbu to meet her at the gates.

Twenty minutes later Naruto arrived in his shinobi gear and his sword strapped to his side. Tsunade eyed it for a second before holding out her hands. "No weapons Naruto, they've already pressured me into sealing off your chakra." Naruto closed his eyes and took a deep breath through his nose before unstrapping the sword from his side as well as removing his kunai pounch and several scrolls filled with his weapons and tools to Tsunade who had sealed them all away into a single scroll.

"They're going to order you to execute me, aren't they?" Naruto asked quietly as he put the hood of his cloak up, shielding his eyes. Tsunade's face flashed with one of despair.

"They'll definitely push it or threaten war." Naruto nodded.

"Very well, do what you believe is best for the Hidden Leaf, baachan." Tsunade had to steel her eyes from welling up with tears. She was the Hokage. She had a duty to the Leaf first and to Naruto second, no matter how much she hated it.

"Always brat," She replied before turning around. "Let's get going." With that she began walking down the path and was followed by her detail of Anbu and of course, Naruto.

One Day Later

Tsunade, along with Naruto, walked into the main meeting room with two other Anbu, the rest of the Anbu having to stay back at the entrance, not allowed any further. She sat down in her respective seat and saw her fellow Kage all staring at her and the boy in cuffs that sat beside her, his hood still up.

Ay, the Raikage of the Village of Kumo was seated directly across the Senju. A few feet to his left was Onoki, the Tsuchikage of the Village of Iwa. To his right sat Gaara, who was now the Kazekage of Suna. And to the right of Tsunade sat Mei Terumi, who had emerged as the Mizukage after the bloody Civil War in the Hidden Mist. And finally to her left sat Mifune, the moderator for the Five Kage Summit seeing as how they were all in the Land of Iron, a land he lead neutral with all Five Great Nations.

"Now that everyone is here," Mifune began as he gestured to all the seated Kage. "We can begin discussing how a Leaf shinobi singlehandedly wiped out the Hidden Rain by himself, resulting in the death to the entire population, including all of the civilians." He turned to Naruto. "Do you have anything to say in your defence?"

Naruto sat, unmoving with his hood still covering his facial features. He didn't speak and after a full minute of silence, Ay spoke up.

"Destroying an entire Hidden Village, including killing the entire civilian population, is not only immoral but also shows a lack of humanity. And now given a chance to defend your outrageous actions you say nothing. You're nothing but a coward. You're the lowest scum this earth could produce."

"Ay-dono," Mifune said in a warning tone. "Let's not let our emotions get the best of us. Berating the boy is of no use, he knows what he's done."

"Then why are we here?" Asked Onoki in an annoyed voice. "Let's execute the brat and get it over with and then properly punish the Hidden Leaf for letting their shinobi go rogue."

"Naruto," Gaara began. "Why did you do this? You once said you were strong to protect your comrades and that you would do anything to protect them. You even told me that I was your friend, a boy you knew nothing about who had only done monstrous things and yet you called me your friend so easily. Why would you wipe out an entire village who had done you no wrong yet let me live despite my village attacking yours?"

"Enough!" Ay shouted as he smashed the table in half, anger spread across his face as he glared at Naruto. "Let's just end this little monster once and for all!"

"No!" Tsunade shouted as she stood up from her chair. "The leader of the Hidden Rain was also the leader of the terrorist group called Akatsuki! They had a goal to gather the Tailed Beasts to create a weapon and use it on every last village in order to achieve peace by spreading a pain everyone would understand!"

"Then why did he destroy the entire village?" Mei questioned. "If what you say is true, then he would only have needed to kill the leader of the village. The crime here isn't the assassination of the village leader, but the slaughter of innocent civilians and destruction of a village Konoha isn't at war yet." She narrowed her eyes at Naruto in disgust. "I know a monster when I see when, Yagura was a tyrant who murdered innocent people who did no wrong and you've done the same without an ounce of remorse."

Tsunade faltered. She couldn't defend that or even try to justify it without it looking extremely bad on Konoha. "The Hidden Leaf has gone too far!" Onoki shouted. "Your shinobi decimated the Hidden Rain, something no other shinobi from any village dared to do before and break international law!"

"Konoha has nothing to do with this," Naruto spoke for the first time since beginning the trip to the Land of Iron. "Nobody asked me to do this, I wasn't ordered to destroy the Hidden Rain. Hokage-sama knew nothing of my plan nor did any of my comrades."

"Lies!" The Raikage shouted as lightning spread across his body as he crashed through the desk and picked Naruto up by the collar of his cloak, the hood still covering his face. "You won't even show us your face you little bastard! Don't take the fall for your village, I doubt your even the one who did it!"

Madara grabbed Naruto by the neck and held him up in the air. "And this is how the Seventh Hokage dies," Madara spoke, a thin layer of chakra covering his right hand. "It's been a pleasure fighting you, Naruto Uzumaki!" He said before he shoved his hand forward through the man's chest, destroying his heart instantly.

"Get your filthy hands off of me," Naruto whispered venomously before suddenly appearing out of Ay's grip, his hood finally coming off, revealing his single Rinnegan eye and his single remaining blue eye, which was narrowed and filled with rage.

"How dare you talk to-" Ay began but was cut off as the tables were suddenly turned and he found a golden hand grabbing him by the throat and slamming him into the ground.

"When you're the strongest person in the world, you can dare to do anything." Naruto said loud enough for everyone to hear him. Tsunade stared at him with wide eyes before getting angry.

"Naruto! Stop this at once!" She shouted. Naruto met her eyes and she fought back to gasp. It was fleeting, it was so quick she barely saw it. But it was there. A flash of sadness and regret in his eyes.

"I refuse you fucking bitch," He cursed. "I'm tired of following your shitty orders." Naruto released Ay from his grip before immediately flashing to the other side of the room as Ay swung just where he was in that single moment.

"This is treason!" Tsunade shouted. He was doing it again. Sacrificing himself for the Hidden Leaf.

A true shinobi.

"I destroyed the Hidden Rain because I wanted to, I provided them a mercy. Now they won't experience any more suffering than they already have. I released them from their pitiful lives and killed every single last one of them from the oldest man to the youngest child. Nobody escaped by onslaught because I knew nobody could stop me."

"You're a monster," Onoki said between grit teeth, sweat dripping off of his head as he saw how easily Ay was handled, who was no pushover.

"We're all monsters," Naruto said as he looked at the ceiling. "I'm just simply cutting my strings off, I refuse to be a puppet to this shinobi world anymore. None of you will ever understand because you don't dfeel the same pain that I do in my heart." He looked at them all, his Rinnegan glowing slightly. "But I'll help you all experience a small fraction of the pain I hold, Almighty Push!"

A gigantic invisible force destroyed the entire building instantly as all of the Kage and their bodyguards flew several hundred feet away from Naruto, who had used just as much power as Nagato had done when he had flattened Konoha.

He saw Ay step out of the rubble first with a glare on his face. Naruto smirked as he met the Raikage's eyes. "If you attack me I'll break all of your limbs and then take you to your village and make you watch exactly what I did to the Hidden Rain." Ay's glare only increased in intensity.

"If you think you can make it past the Two-Tails and Eight-Tails then you're sorely mistaken, especially if you think you can take me lightly!" He charged Naruto, hoping to hit the boy with a Lariat but to his dismay Naruto vanished from the spot where he was standing and suddenly he was hit from the back, causing him to hit the ground and skid several feet across the destroyed building.

Naruto, now glowing bright yellow in his Sage of Six Paths Mode, stepped ontop of Ay's head with one foot and cocked his head to the side. "Do you think they have a chance against me? Even without the Nine-Tails helping me, which he very well would, I could flatten the Hidden Cloud with a mere raise of a hand with the help of this eye. Do you really wish to test me?" He asked mockingly.

He was no hero.

He looked to the side and saw everyone emerging from the rubble, nobody seriously harmed due to Gaara's quick reaction and covering everyone in a protective layer of sand. "This goes for all of you too. If any of you get in my way, then I'll kill you all." He began laughing. "Hell, maybe if you guys used your brains for a second you would know that I wasn't the true enemy. There's a masked man who rival myself in strength as far as I know who possesses the Sharingan as well as the Rinnegan. His goal is to enslave this world in an Infinite Genjutsu which will cause the human race to go extinct.

"If you can all focus on him for a little bit, I'll hand over myself to die at your hands. My goal is to save the future, whether you're apart of that future or not. . ." He chuckled darkly.

"Well, that's up to you!"  He whispered venomously, killing intent oozing off of his body before he vanished in a flash of yellow.

The final cards were being played.

And he had to be the winner.

And done. Good? Bad? Tell me!

Kinda rushed but these scenes need to happen! Sorry for lateness but yah.

Til next time my lil demons!
