Chapter 11: Revelations

I hate writing canon, so everything is canon wise, everyone loses to who they're supposed to. I will write the battle of Sayuri vs. Kankuro because I killed off their entire team last chapter. And Naruto vs. Kiba because of different Naruto = different type of fight. 

Team 7, along with the rest of the teams, was standing on a small platform in a large room, a railing to keep them from falling into the small arena below where Sayuri stood several meters across her opponent, Kankuro of the Sand. 

"Feel free to quit, I don't like hurting women." Kankuro said as he brought out the puppet on his back, knowing full well that the Uchiha wouldn't be pulling in punches. "But as a shinobi I will break my own morals." 

"Shut up and fight," Sayuri growled as Hayate, the proctor for the preliminaries, started the match. "I want this to be over already!" Kankuro chuckled.

"Rushing isn't the way of shinobi!" Sayuri threw two kunai at her opponent and dashed to the left, hoping to distract Kankuro who easily deflected the kunai as his opponents narrowed slightly at Sayuri. 

"You aren't getting out of my sight!" He called out as his puppet, Karasu, held out four arms as he used his chakra strings to make the puppet rush towards Sayuri at uncomfortable speeds for the Uchiha. 

Sayuri quickly went through the hand seals and blew out a fireball, it enveloping the puppet. She then smirked. "Wood burns, surrender!" She said as she charged into the smoke.

"You think I'd come into the Land of Fire with a wooden puppet without back up?" Kankuro questioned as his own smirk crossed across his lips. He tugged on his index finger, the chakra string tilting slightly before his puppet burst from it's wooden shell, revealing a small exoskeleton-like puppet. "She's a bit weaker, but I think it'll be enough for you!" 

He pulled his middle finger and a small hole opened from inside the slightly steaming hot puppet before needles coated in poison shot out. Sayuri ducked under the needles, rolling on the concrete floor before breaking out in a full sprint towards Kankuro, her two tomoed Sharingan spinning as she met his eyes. 

"I win," She announced loudly, holding a kunai to the back of Kankuro's neck. The puppet user's eyes widened in shock as he turned his head slowly. 

"H-How?" He whispered. 

"Not important." She answered, pressing the kunai against his neck a bit more roughfully. "Do you concede?" A sigh escaped Kankuro's lungs as he rose his hand. 

"I give up." He admitted. Hayate announced Sayuri as winner. 

Meanwhile in the stands

"She tricked him with genjutsu from the beginning of the match." Naruto whispered to himself, although Obito heard him. "The moment they made eye contact she ensared him into thinking her Sharingan wasn't activated and then laced another one over that, making it seems as if she was one step behind than she really was, therefore making Kankuro think that she was farther behind than she initially was." Obito let out a low whistle. 

"Taking notes for when you have to face her?" Obito asked him. Naruto shook his head.

"I'm immune to genjutsu, but her Sharingan is definitely a problem. When you decide to train her between the one month period, try and up her speed to what Rock Lee's was, that way she has the speed to outmaneuver her foes attacks that she can see before they happen." 

"I was actually planning on training the both of you." Obito admitted, surprising Naruto. "But from the sounds of it you have a training regiment of your own?" Naruto nodded.

"Hokage-sama has gifted me permission to go through all of the village's scrolls and learn as much as I can, paired with Shadow Clones I can learn about a years worth of knowledge in a month."

Obito remained silent, eyeing his student weirdly. Why would the Hokage give a genin special priveledges? Even if Naruto was Minato's son and the Jinchuuriki of the Nine Tailed Fox, what else was there to give him an exclusive right only the most elite Jounin had access to?

Sayuri had a smirk on her face as she arrived with Naruto and Obito. "Good job, Sayuri." Naruto quickly said. "But it seems I have to deal with a certain mutt." He said a bit darkly, sending shivers down Sayuri's spine. 

"Ha! As if the dobe of our class could beat me!" Kiba barked with a little laughter, Akamaru sitting atop of his head. "I can't wait to beat your ass in front of everyone you social reject!" 

"Kiba's been working hard," Kurenai said to Obito. "I don't doubt he'll beat your student. The deadlast of his graduating class." Naruto glanced at Kurenai.

"I could probably beat you in a fight." He said, getting a surprised look from Obito and an angry look from Kurenai. "Besides, you say deadlast as if it's not an even chance with the top dog of the class, who was Sayuri. Also, did you know that Jiraiya of the Sannin was the deadlast and loser of his class and is arguably stronger than Orochimaru? The prodigy and number one student in his class?" 

"I don't know why you believe yourself on such a high horse," Kurenai began in a miffed tone. "But a fresh Genin against an experienced Jounin? Don't make me laugh." Obito began sweating as he tried to deesculate the situation. 

"Kurenai, don't pick a fight with him it's pointless, he's as stubborn as bull! And he's probably not lying." He thought the last sentence, not wanting to upset his friend. Naruto smirked. 

"I'll prove it." He looked up to Hokage. "Hokage-sama, may I request that Kurenai Yuuhi fight for Kiba Inuzuka?" Hiruzen rose an eyebrow from on top of his little balcony. 

"He wants to fight Nai-chan? Why?" Anko, the Second Exam proctor and the former student of Orochimaru, said in a slightly confused tone. 

"I'm not sure." He turned his head to Kiba and Kurenai. "If both of you agree, I'm fine with his request." Kiba shrugged and looked at his sensei.

"I don't mind if you don't, either way I get a free win." Kurenai narrowed her eyes at the smirking blonde and made up her mind. 

"I'll fight him, Hokage-sama." Naruto chuckled before walking down to the small arena. 

"Then this fight is mine, not like the outcome would've changed if it were Kiba standing from across me of course." Naruto said confidently, folding his arms over his chest. "I'm your worse opponent, Kurenai Yuuhi." 

"That's Kurenai-sensei to you," She practically growled. Hayate sighed and began the match before hopping away. 

"Begin!" He shouted. 

Kurenai immediately tried trapping the blonde in a genjutsu, but Naruto's smirk only widened. "I'm immune, having one of the strongest beings in the world back you up does wonders." Kurenai's eyes widened at Naruto's obvious hint and cursed. 

She brought out a kunai and rushed him. She tried swiping at him with a kunai but he just dodged her, each time he did she got a little bit more angry, her strikes getting faster and more intense with each passing second, but the smirk only increased. 

"Arrogant brat!" She shouted as she quickly lashed out with a kick, connecting his forehead as he flew back and hit the ground with a thud.

"What was Naruto thinking? Challenging Kurenai-sensei like that?" Sayuri wondered aloud. Obito had the same thought process running through his head. Why? 

Kurenai threw a kunai, a paper bomb wrapped around the handle, her fingers pointing up. "I'm ready to blow this up when you are. Surrender brat." Naruto chuckled as he stood up, his eyes wide and bloodshot as his chuckles turned into full blown laughter. 

"Surrender? Why? You barely touched me and I haven't even tried to land a single hit on you! Blow up the bomb Kurenai, I'll only walk through the pain as I have everything else." He began laughing again, shaking slightly.

"Sasuke and I have fought a lot of times, and each time he hurt me far worse than you ever could. Maybe it was my mind that was cracking while he did so? I mean, I almost had a panic attack in the Land of Iron. It's funny, really, your career will end when you get knocked up."

His eyes shifted into the Kyuubi's crimson red. "You're not even putting up a percentage of the fight Orochimaru gave me!" He shouted crazily as he began gripping at his hair. "I mean, he just vanished, guess cells disappear when destroyed too huh? Heh heh heh heh heh," He began laughing again.

"W-What did you say?" Kurenai whispered as she took a step back in shock. "What are you saying?" 

"No fucking way," Anko muttered under her breath as Hiruzen was visibly growing. 

'He did kill Orochimaru. None of our best sensors could even sense his chakra from five miles one each direction of the village. I think he needs to see Inoichi after these though, it seems the stress of losing everything does damage to ones brain than what is seen on the outside.' 

"Heheheh, I said I killed Orochimaru!" He shouted. "He wasn't as hard as I thought he would be, maybe I strong? It might've been luck, no, I'm strong, strong, we're strong, aren't we? We can be strong. I'm strong. I can change the future and bring peace to this twisted reality god put me in as a joke? Right? I can," He laughed, insanity finally gripping the blonde completely.

"I drown in the blood of my comrades, their open wounds leaking blood into my eyes and making me blind, how can I change that?" He said, his voice now lighter in pitch with a slight hoarse to it. 

"You're insane. . ." Kurenai said breathlessly. 

"No, I'm the Hokage you dumb bitch, you died easy, in my dream. I mean it was a dream right? How can I dream and not be right? Maybe I'm still in the Infinite Tsukuyomi and this is my peace? No, that's not true. I'm here, I'm alive, I've still suffered greatly and I haven't been happy for a single moment since I got here. I hate everything about this place and I can't help but scratch at my head and want to kill it and then kill myself? 

"I need it, blood. Blood? No? Why blood? Mother? Father? This burden is too great! I can't save anyone nor myself but I can't help but laugh at the circumstances of my person. Do you know what a Tailed Beast Bomb can do to an army of five thousand people?" He didn't receive an answer as he began laughing. 

"THEY ALL DIE!" He shouted before he burst into a bright yellow and suddenly disappeared from sight. Kurenai's eyes widened and went to defend herself, but it was already too late. Enlarging his fist with Kurama's chakra, Naruto slammed the fist into's Kurenai's entire body, hitting her across the arena as she hit the concrete walls. 

"How about that? It seems you were full of shit after all!" He clutched his head and began whispering to himself.

"Ican'tdecideifiwanttokillheryetshe'smycomradenoshe'snotshe'sauselesswhorewhowasusedasababymakeranditshilariousstopitdon'thurtmyfriendsyouhavenofriendsyouletthemdie!"

"Naruto Uzumaki is the winner," Hayate said grimly as he inspected an unconscious Kurenai who had several broken bones throughout her entire body. Naruto began laughing.

"I heard her bones crunch," He said loudly before another fit of laughter hit him. Hiruzen stood up from his chair, a hardened sadness in his eyes. 

"Restrain him but be careful." The Anbu nodded, already pulling out several seals that they had in store for when Kushina Uzumaki was the previous jinchuuriki, though they never had to be used. 

Naruto looked at the Anbu and his grin changed into a small frown before his Kyuubi eyes faded from existence and revealed his sky blue eyes again. "I'm sorry," He whispered as he pressed his head against the cold concrete. "I'm sorry. I don't want to live anymore." 

Hiruzen appeared in front of the jinchuuriki and rested a gentle hand on the boy's head. "I know," He whispered sadly as he watched tears flow out of the boy's eyes. 

What were the true extents of his internal torture, Hiruzen wondered.
