chapter 19

Error P.O.V.

I awoke with a groan. My head pounding, my eye lids slowly opening. darkness was the first thing I registered. My eye sight soon adjusted I could see a stone cracked floor and wall. Black, rusty Metal bars blocked the entrance. I could see other cells outside of mine.

"What th-" I slowly began to move. Pain struck through my body "fUcK!" My voice immediately glitched. I looked down. A dark crimson blood stain was on my red shirt, which did not look pretty.

I looked behind me. My hands were in handcuffs which had chains that connected to the wall. 'Come on error think! What was the last thing that happened!' I struggled for a moment before I heard a soft sounding, close by voice. "Error? Is that you?" I immediately recognized it as dream.

Then that's when the memories came rushing back. I let out a gasp "ink! WeRe aRe yOu! Ink! KiLlEr! NigHTmaRe! HoRrOr! DuSt! CrOsS!" Dream tried to comfort me from the other side of the Mossy stone wall. "Calm down error! Ink is mildly ok. He's in this cell With me."

I calmed down a bit "oh...wait!? WhaT dO yoU mEan by milDly OK!?" I went back to panic mode. "don't worry! He's just unconscious, and has a small crack in his skull. But he's seems to be OK."

"OK..." I calmed down. I was silent before speaking up "are you ok?" "Yeah! Just only have a cracked rib and several cracks along my face!!" He enthusiastically shouted. I didn't respond I just had one thought

'this goon and his positivity, Why bother asking if he's OK? He's literally the definition of happiness.' It was silent til I heard a groan come from the other side of the wall again. "Dream...? Is that you?" "Oh! Ink! Your finally awake! Error was just worrying about you."

I heard a gasp "Error!? Is he OK!?" I answered "yeah. Apart from being shanked in the side twice in these last three months. Then yeah I've Been doing good." I replied my voice sounding a tad bit sarcastic but held a tint of playfulness in it. "Are you OK ink?" I asked, my voice being more serious sounding than what I had previously said.

"Am I OK!? Error! You're the one that got stabbed in the side! But apart from having a headache and very few small hairline fractures, I'm good." Ink explained.

It was silent, i heard the rattling of chain's coming from the other wall. Ink spoke up "we need to get out of here, maybe we can find a way to pull our hands through the cuffs." Dream immediately added to what ink had suggested.

"Um..that's not really a good idea...look over there." I looked around noticing nightmare not to far away, he was struggling very viciously against the cuffs, but every sharp movement he made caused an electrical shock to go through his body.

'Ow, that has to hurt' I thought quietly. Me and ink let out a hopeless sigh, while dream was silent. I looked back at the magic-disabling cuffs. 'Not gonna give up that easily!' I determinedly thought. I began to try to pull my palms out.

As soon as I began to tug ruffly, a painful jolt of electricity shot through my body, I clenched my teeth trying to ease the pain, but as I pulled harder it only hurt more.

I let out a gasp of pain, ink tried to get me to stop. "Error! Stop! It's not going to work!" I tried my best to ignore him. "Please error! Your only hurting yourself!" His desperate, sad sounding voice was like an arrow to the soul.

"Please stop...I don't want you to get hurt." Ink painfully and silently said out. It felt like my own soul had been stabbed twenty six times as ink pleaded.

I quietly muttered out "ok..." I stopped pulling at the cuffs. I let out a sigh. Ink quietly responded, with just a tad bit of happiness in his voice "thank you..."

~~Time Skip~~

It was silent...I sat in my cell, I found out awhile ago who was in the cell to my right, it was cross. We been quietly chatting "so cross..? Why do you call nightmare senpai?" Cross was silent, thinking about the question "uhhh, I watch maybe just a little to much anime..."

I quietly whispered something "otaku...." "Hey!" Cross angrily hissed. "Would you rather be called a weeaboo?" I smirked "shut your face error! At least I don't creepily make dolls of everyone."

Embarrassment came to my jet black cheek bones. "H-how did you kno-" I cut off, realising the only person who knew "DUST!!"

A distance voice was heard down the bland, cold hall of cells "shut it! Blues tryin' ta sleep!" Dust angrily replied down the hall, I didn't listen to him "when I get my hands on you!! Your name will make sense!!"

"Error shut up i'm tryin' to fucking meditate!" I recognized the raspy sounding voice of horror, which was strangely very close sounding. I looked to the Right corner in the dead cell I was chained in.

"Wut da fuk! How long have you've been in here!?" Horror who was sitting in the shadows of the cell I was in, like a fricking creep. "I've been here since the beginning! Wear your fucking glasses you blind ass bat!"

"Wait!? When i was freaking out earlier i called your name! How come you didn't respond?!?" I sneered. "I had fucking air pods in!" Horror retorted "Bitch! You don't even have fucking ears!" I was about to angrily retort, but then a voice cut everyone off.

"💧✋☹☜☠👍☜✏"

We all turned our attention to the door way, gaster came slithering down the hall. "👍♋■ ⍓□◆ ♋●● j◆⬧⧫ ⬧♒◆⧫ ◆◻ ♐□❒ j◆⬧⧫ □■♏ ❍♓■◆⧫♏✏✍✏" gaster shouted.

"HEY!" cross angrily shouted "can you speak English!?! not all of us know how to speak Wingdings!!"

Nightmare added "pretty sure readers don't like to continuously have to translate!" Error let out a gasp "night! No breaking the fourth wall! Do you know how much that costs!?!"

Horror kicked error "Error! Stick to the script!" "OW! YOU SON OF A BITC-" Gaster began to bubble with anger "SHUT YOUR FUCKING FACES FOR JUST ONE MINUTE!! WILL YOU!?!"

everyone fell silent "oh my....he speaks.." Dream whispered. "So what exactly do you want with us?" Ink asked. "glad you asked squidy" gaster humbly replied.

"Your truce has upset the balance, their are still some things out there wrecking the AUs" Gaster began to explain. "So to fix the balance...you and error must be killed..." Cross interrupted "then why are we here?"

"Well I would've guessed you would get in my way, and disrupt the balance even more, so you all must be killed for the sake of the balance" gaster darkly replied.

"Liar!" Nightmare shouted "you just want us all out of the way, so you can have all the power, and destroy the balanc-" gaster's goopy like body extended forth, grabbing nightmare by the neck, pulling him forwards.

Nightmare let out a pain filled screech as the electrical shock, continuously shocked his body "shut! Up! You worthless piece of garbage!" "Hey! Leave senpai alone!" Cross shouted defensively.

Gaster let go of nightmare and left without a word. Nightmare let out a gasp, regaining his breath, I sadly stared at the floor.

Ink P.O.V.

Everyone was quiet, the only thing that disturbed the silence was an occasional rattle of chains that kept coming dreams cuffs. I didn't really pay attention tho "what's going on in there ink?" I heard error ask.

"Its not me making those noises." I softly replied "dream..?" Error asked. "Quiet...just give me a moment..." The noises continued, I stared at dream confusedly, til a click was heard. "Haha I did it!"

I heard the cuffs fall to the ground with a clank. I was genuinely shocked "h-how did you do that!?" Dream held some thing "I always bring this pink bobby pin with me everywhere in go!" Dream held out a hot pink bobby pin with a flower on it.

I was silent "honestly, you are the weirdest person I've ever met , which in glad for that" Dream used the bobby pin to pick the lock, on my cuffs. I felt them slide off. 'Great cheese biscuits! That feels better.' I happily thought.

"The down side...the cuffs were sucking our magic, I don't know how long til our magics up again...I don't think we can take that risk, till gaster comes back.." Dream explained.

I tried summoning a basic attack, but it didn't work. We were both silent, trying to think of ideas.

Dream let out a gasp. He grabbed me by the shoulders "quick! Think positive!" "Dream this isn't really the time." I solidly replied "just do it!" I did not really know why he wanted me too but I did it anyway.

I started to think about mine and errors date, and the happiness we both felt. My thought were cut off as I heard a noise come from the cell, followed by a golden glow. I opened my eyes to see that dream had managed opened a portal, he seemed slightly exhausted, but thrilled.

"Come on. We need to find help."  I was about to walk in "wait! What about error? And everyone else? Would've they get killed while were gone?" Dream averted my gaze.

"That's why we got to hurry ink, we need to find help as fast as we can!" I stared at the wall that error was behind. "Go ink, don't let me hold you back...were all counting on you." Error comforted me on the other side of the wall.

I hesitated before sighing in defeat "OK..." Dream walked through the portal, I trailed behind him.

Error P.O.V.

I saw the bright flash came from the cell, as ink and dream went through. I sighed. I sadly stared at the floor.

It was silent for a moment til the loud bang of the door alerted everyone. I peeped around the corner seeing gaster come in, he immediately realized the fact that dream and ink weren't there.

He dashed forward grabbing me by the shirt, pulling me forward. The electrical charge painfully zapping my body. I clenched my teeth, trying not to scream.

"Were are they?!?" I averted looking at him "answer me you filthy mistake!!" I still didn't speak. He growled throwing me against the wall. I let out a grunt.

I heard a click, gaster opened up my cell, them freed me of the cuffs. I didn't bother trying to use my magic, knowing by what dream and ink said, it wouldn't work. I tried to run, but as expected me latched on to me, pulling me back. Horror gave me a scared look.

"Fine...not telling me were they are, guess we have to do this the hard way" he grabbed me by my feet, flinging me across the room, I landed in a pile of old, empty cardboard boxes.

I quickly sprung to my feet. The goop that made up his messy body formed into a spike. I quickly sprinted out of the wide room and into the hallway of cells. he followed not too far behind. I heard his sickly laughs, gaining closer behind me.

He grabbed my scarf, it immediately sent me face planting into he cold, stone floor. "Error!" Blue who was resting in dusts lap, fearfully watched as I was dragged across the floor. Gaster stabbed me in the side. I let out a gasp.

I coughed, blood leaking from my yellow teeth. He wrapped his goopy tendril around me and he flung me at the wall. I painfully collided with the cobblestone wall, a crack was heard. Pain seared through my entire body.

I weakly stood up, I nearly collapsed. As I wobbly ran to were all the cardboard boxes were, maybe able to find a weapon. Gaster lunged towards me. I quickly dodged, falling on the floor. A huge wave of pain struck me, as I landed on the wound.

Nightmare P.O.V. (heh, after 18 chaps someone else POV)

I saw as error was brutally dragged down the hall. Blue worriedly called his name. I heard him gasp. I began to freak out. I tried to wiggled out of the cuffs, but of course it was hopeless. I looked at cross, whose cell was right in front of me. I tried to think of a possible escape.

Then it hit me 'gosh, I'm so stupid...OK nightmare calm down..' I slowly breathed in then out, trying to think happy. I felt the black tar like substance Slowly slid off my body, til I was in my passive form.

Cross looked at me confusedly. I began to carefully twist my body, gently tugging at my arms. 'Come on, careful...' I heard a pop, I looked down, my arm had disconnected at my elbow joint. I smiled with satisfaction.

I ever so gently, reach back with my other hand. Grabbing onto my arm, pulling it out of the cuffs and reconnecting it. I then used my now free hand to carefully disconnect my left arm.

I quickly slid my other arm out of the cuffs, being careful when reattaching it. Errors pain filled screams in the distance caused me to wince. I quickly ran to the cell door, and of course it needed a key.

In a panic I quickly scanned inside the cage. In the corner, a piece of the wall had cracked off, and now laid on the cement floor. 'perfect!' I quickly gripped it in my hand, smashing it against the lock with a loud thunk, which gaster didn't hear, due to him throwing error around.

To my luck, gaster didn't notice. Cross worriedly stared at me "be careful nighty" "I will" I reassured him. I zoomed out of the hall. In the open room gaster had error pinned to the ground. I slithered stealthily hiding behind the boxes.

Gaster picked up error who was caked in blood and wounds, and barely conscious. it made me slightly gag. He brought him back to his cell, throwing him back inside, he quickly chained him up.

"I'll be back later...I expect to get an answer by you then!" I thankfully sighed when he didn't notice my disappearance. Gaster left slamming the door. I waited for a moment before dashing to his cell.

"Error! Are you OK?" I asked looking around for something to get him out. He let out a pained groan "take your pick..." I looked towards the door, knowing I couldn't use the rock trick. Cause it would very definitely alert gaster.

"I'll be back, I'm gonna see if I can find the key." I explained to error who was raspily breathing. "O-ok..." He weakly muttered out.

With that I quickly stood up, sprinting to the door. I very carefully opened it up, a small creak emitting as I did. I peaked through, gaster wasn't any were to be seen.

I thankfully sighed. I slithered through, closing the door behind me. I looked from side to side, being cautious. I was greeted with many dark hallways.

I started carefully checking them, it was about 15 minutes of searching. I carefully peeped around the corner of a room. I quickly and fearfully pulled myself back the second I saw the goopy form of gaster in there.

I very quietly peeped around the corner again, looking inside, he hasn't noticed me. I was about to go that's when something caught my attention 'the keys!' I saw them on the table.

I very slowly slid inside the small room. Gaster hadn't noticed me yet, he was busy at the table writing down something on some papers.

I got on the floor very carefully crawling under the table. I waited for the perfect opportunity to grab the keys. I sat there for about five minutes til I saw gaster look away from the table, turning near the doorway.

I wasted no time. I quickly peeped out from my hiding spots carefully snatching the keys. I went back under the table, I mentally sighed when gaster left the room. I waited for a moment before crawling out from under the table.

I went to the doorway, looking to the left way down the hall, where gaster went. He was nowhere in sight. I sighed out of thankfulness. I jogged back. I was careful not to cause attention with the sounds of my footsteps.

I made it back in. Error immediately looked at me. "D-did you find them?" The black boned skeleton asked, his voice raspy from the pain. "Yep!" I pulled the keys out of my pockets. Unlocking his cell. Then the cuffs.

I very carefully helped error up "careful." I nervously told the wounded skeleton. I got error out of his Cell. I slowly put him down, leaning against one of the locked cells. "Stay right here, in gonna find the others." I quickly explained. Error who was breathing unevenly gave my a shaky thumbs up.

I wasted no time, cross who was right beside errors cell, stared at me with a smile. I quickly unlocked his cell, then his cuffs. The second he was free. He swiftly scrambled to his feet, lunging forward, tackling me into a hug that almost knocked me over.

It surprised me, but i soon smiled returning the tight hug. We were like that for a few moments. Til we were interrupted. "Hey! Some of us are still trapped, and you let error out, but not me?!" A raspy voice alerted us. 'Oops, forgot horror was in that cell with error'

I quickly let horror out and the first thing he did was smack me across the face. "Ow!" I screeched as I held my face were he hit me.

"By the way, were is ink splat and glow stick at?" Cross gently asked. I sighed "they went to find help, but we can't afford to wait for them any longer..." I sadly stated.

An angry voiced yelled down the hall "hey! Let us out already!! Blue's getting scared and killer ain't looking to good!" That was definitely dust. I ran down the hall opening up the cell blue and dust were imprisoned in.

I help blue first, he gleefully smiled "thank you!" He cheered. I stopped, smirking. "What's the magic word dusty?" I teased. Dust growled "let me out bastard!" I grin grew wider "as you please lord of anger" I unlocked him.

Dust was still before lunging at me. "I'm gonna beat you til you look like horror!" Dust angrily spat. Blue was quick to hold him back. Horror gasped "rude!" I chuckled scanning the halls before noticing killer.

I sighed 'dust was right...he isn't looking to good.' I let out killer. I quickly unlocked the cage, a creak emitting from the door as I did. "D-dream..?" He muttered slowly opening his eyesockets. "No, its me nightmare." I softly spoke while unlocking the cuffs. Killer groaned, holding his side.

Blue with the help of dust, slowly helped him to his feet. Once we were out. Cross and myself grabbed error. Holding him up. I looked back at the others, who were waiting for my orders. "C'mon, we need to get out of here." I slowly started to shuffle forwards.

The others nodded. I sighed 'please hurry ink...and my dear brother...'
