Day XV

~*Lucy's POV*~

" Is everyone present!? " Erza shouted from the class as everyone responded yes, which everyone knows their part and roles for the play, our grades depend on it so we will do our best and make our efforts paid off and worth it.

I looked around which I am in my black shirt holding the clipboard and pen observing behind the stage where the children sat down seems excited since our play is most like for children thus I am pretty confident for the play will be very successful, even our parents are here especially mine. I am also nervous but I do have faith and trust in my classmates remembering the blocking and lines of the characters which makes me sure that this play would be worth it!

" I'm glad that you are smiling, Lu-chan... " Levy bumped into me which pat my back.

" I always smile Levy.. " I giggled as I smiled at her.

" Lucy! " a classmate of mine approach me panting and breathing heavily as she looked at me, " Lisanna is not yet here and the play will be starting in 3 hours.. What should we do?! "

Our class began to whisper and getting more nervous as I hear panicking knowing that Lisanna is the main character for the play, Erza started ranting and other students try to dial her number to get some response but it seems to be filling it up with pressure at the back of the stage. Then suddenly someone stopped the panic coming from Natsu who is wearing the costume of a prince with its silk garlands and boots with his annoyed face.

" If Lisanna is not here, then we make a substitute.. " Natsu said crossing his arms.

" Who is brave enough to take Lisanna's role here!?! " Erza shouted and everyone was silent, " Then I shall take the lead- "

" What about Lu-chan?? " Levy stopped Erza's suggestion and everyone looked at me, " I mean she knows the script from front to back and she handles the writing as well.. "

Our classmates whispered and some started to agree with Levy's statement which I was getting more nervous and stuttered trying to talk it out and reject the suggestion.

" Sure, why not? " Natsu agrees as some of the makeup artists and students who are in charge of the costume pulling me to the changing room.

"W-Wait! I didn't even agree to this!!- W-What if she's already there- " I began to reason out with their suggestions yet I was too late.

Its been hours of makeup and hair changing with the outfit as well which I looked at myself in the mirror, even with the small budget and use of needs for the costumes, my classmates did a ver good job creating the roles  and features of the characters. I looked at my makeup with all the mascara and blush powder in my face creating that vibe of my role as the protagonist. All of them were shocked and happy from the outcomes with its colorful designs and outfit being the same size. I can out the room as everyone began to look at my direction as I saw Erza, Levy and everyone with the same expression of shock and surprise on the outcome.

" U-Uh.. How many minutes do we have left..? " I asked looking at the student in charge of the schedule.

" O-Oh t-ten minutes.. " She responds as the backstage is quieter than before feeling the stares of my classmates while I looked down.

" So Lisanna isn't here yet?? I swear that idiot.. Is Lucy ready?- " I heard Natsu came as he looked at me widening his eyes as a faint blush showed both of his cheeks.

" I-I'm already done.. " I stuttered looking down as I heard applause from the audience giving that sign that play was over and it was us that will be performing.

We started to make our move and start the introduction and background music I looked seeing the audience where children was amused with the introduction and narration with it's low budget costume. With the acting I performed and the perfect synchronization of the play like I had imagined in my script, I acted the way  with confidence as others did their roles meeting the most important factor of the play which is the prince.

" May I have this dance? " Natsu bowed lending his hand as he looked at me, his onyx eyes shine with his signature grin.

" Your highness.. " I replied as I widen my eyes being part of the act and bow slowly hearing the crowd squealing.

The "prince" Natsu reached to my hand and smiled as I looked at him giggling and blushing feeling the atmosphere so surreal which I would know it is just a foolish play to begin with. We danced as the music flows through the stage while the story goes on with the scenes and plots that needed to be executed. Reaching through the end with applause from the crowd and the youngsters as we bow down and clean up from the backstage, my friends and classmates began cheering on me since I was only a substitute which saving this moment of time.

" Gosh Lu-chan! You didnt tell us you are hiding such talent!! " Levy said as I giggled while Erza began to hug me.

" I agree with Levy here, you can be a great actress her in Fiore! " Erza shouted as some of my classmates cheered and get to her side.

" You guys.. All of you are saying that besides I would do anything for our grades.. " I said shyly and blushing infront of everyone.

" Juvia doesnt agree with Lucy-san..! " Juvia replied and seeing Gray beside her nodding.

" Lu-chan you should be proud of yourself! " Levy looked at me as she smiled.

We started to change ourselves up and prepare for going home while I started to remove some of the make up, Juvia stayed outside waiting for me while Erza, Levy and Gray were on their way home. After fixing myself up I got my stuff with me and getting out the school with Juvia having our walk back home feeling better from the achievement in our Cinderella play.
