"How is the pain?"

"Karlie, please stop asking. Im fine."

Oh..

"I.. I.. Im sorry.. I was just wonderi- I don't know.." I mumbled, looking away from her and gripping the steering wheel a bit tighter. I could feel my cheeks started to become red.

Did I say something wrong?

It stayed silent for a long while then, the rain on the windows the only sound around. It had started to get dark outside and the only lights vissible, were the car's headlights and some street lights that sometimes appeared from the darkness.

"Im sorry." I heard Taylor mumble. I looked at her but she was 'staring' out of the window, presumably still not seeing anything.

"Its okay." I said softly, now looking out of the window and at the dark road ahead if us again.

"Its just.." She started. "Im really scared and stressed and sad and.. ughhh.." She let out a deep breath. "I just want us to be okay. I just wish everything was different."

I put my hand on hers and gave it a little squeeze.

"Im here." I said, not knowing anything else reassuring to say. She squeezed my hand then, sadness still present on her face though.

"What time is it? Where are we driving?" She asked then, looking in my direction.

"7pm. Were like 150 miles away from Den Valley still." I answered, still holding her hand.

"I.. Im hungry.. Would you mind to stop somewhere to eat something?" She asked, her voice soft as if she was embarrassed.

"Im.. Im a bit scared that were being chased or something. But I mean we can make a quick stop at a restaurant somewhere if you want to?" I said, focussing on the signs next to the empty road to see if there were any restaurants close by.

Taylor chuckled a bit then, squeezing my hand again.

"What?" I asked, smiling at her.

"I.. I actually meant if you could stop the car here for a bit so I could hunt for like a rabbit or something."

I coughed. "A.. A rabbit? Taylor.. Ew.."

"Come on Karls, Im so hungry.." She wined dramatically, pouting at me.

"What am I supposed to eat then?" I asked, my hand holding tightly onto her warm one.

She smiled then. "I mean, I can hunt for two rabbits? Or we can share one."

"Taylor.." I warned, my lips curved in a small smile however.

"Okay okay miss vegetarian wolf. You brought some cookies and an apple right? Tadaa, dinner for you." She said wisely, pointing at the backseat.

"Are you kidding.." I said, pouting at her this time but soon realizing the poor girl was still practically blind.

"How much can you see now?" I asked suddenly, some excitement in my voice as I was hoping that she could see a little more than before.

"The world is one big blur.." She sighed. "But I can see when were passing a traffic light. And I can see when a person is standing or like sitting close to me." She explained, sounding a little relieved.

"Good. Small steps."

"Small steps." She smiled. "And now please let me hunt for like five minutes? I promise ill be back soon and you can just lock the doors and eat your apple or something."

I let out a dramatic deep sigh again. "Okaaaay." I said, slowing the car down and stopping the vehicle completely when standing on the side of the road. "Five minutes." I said, holding my finger up and pointing at my watch and then realizing again that the blonde cant even see me well.

"Wait wait wait.. You're blind. You're gonna hunt, blind?" I asked, my voice confused now.

"Karlie.." She said, opening the door already. "Im not like, completely blind. And I have a really good nose and instinct you know." She shot a quick cocky smile at me and got out of the car. I sighed dramatically again. "Five minutes." She nodded and a growl was heard then. I had to close my eyes for the bright white flash that followed and then she disappeared into the dark woods.

I locked the car doors and got the apple out of the bag. I took a bite of the green fruit and looked around me. This part of the road was surrounded by dark bushes, trees and other scary shapes and forms. I looked in the direction that Taylor just ran to and tried to find the girl in the complete darkness. I couldn't find the white wolf however and decided to just focus on eating my apple.

A few minutes later a loud knock on the window disturbed me. I looked up, my eyes wide in surprise and quite an amount of fear, and saw that it was Taylor. I unlocked the car and let the girl in.

"That were like ten minutes." I said, looking at my watch and crossing my arms over each other.

"Oh I'm sorry miss, but as you might know I'm half blind and just had to hunt a fast animal with my bad eyesight." She said, looking over at me with one eyebrow raised and a small smile on her face. There was a small drip of blood on the side of her lip and I wiped it away with my thumb.

"Forgiven." I said, smiling at the cute girl. "How was it? And what was it?" I started the engine again and drove away again.

"A rat. Couldn't find any rabbits."

"A rat?!" I asked in disbelieve. "No.. No no no no."

Taylor let out a loud laugh. "They're not as tasty as rabbit no. But I was hungry okay?"

"Just that you know. Were not kissing ever again." I said, immediately regretting it as I realized we never really talked about.. well.. that.

"You sure?" She asked, her voice seductive now. I looked over at her and saw a smirk on her face.

"Stop it." I laughed, pushing her shoulder softly.

She started making funny kissing faces and made me laugh so loud that I could barely see the road anymore because of the tears in my eyes.

"I cant see. Stop, Taylor!" I shouted hysterically.

"Same here." She laughed, making me laugh even louder.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Im nervous." She said, interrupting my thoughts and the silence that was comfortably floating around in the car.

"Me too." I replied, probably not calming her down with that answer.

"How long still?" She asked, her face worried.

"About half an hour I think."

"Oh.."

It remained quiet for a while again then.

"Taylor?"

"Hmm?" She hummed, looking down at her hands.

"Are you.. are you like.." I hesitated for a bit. "Are you.. okay?"

Gosh Karlie, what a fucking brilliant question. You genius.

"What.. what.. how do you mean?" She asked, looking in my direction now. I felt her eyes trying to focus on my face.

"I mean. It.. It must be hard for you. Like with Dianna, and your parents, and all that match stuff. And well the grey and white stuff.. you know?" I mumbled, purposely looking at the road, even though she probably couldn't see me anyway.

"Oh.. that.." She mumbled, looking away again. "I.. Its okay. I mean.."

Silence.

"Okay no. It sucks." She said then. "It sucks and I want to be normal. Just normal. Why do I have to be a fucking wolf. Why does my dad have to hate humans? Why did my mom have to die? Why couldn't I become one of the whites? Why cant I just be a girl you met at school and why cant we just fall in love in a normal way? Why does it all have to be like this?" A tear was rolling down her cheek, she angrily wiped it away with the sleeve of her sweater.

"Im sorry.." I mumbled, knowing it was a shitty response to give to such a confession, but not knowing how else to reply.

It stayed silent again then.

"I really loved her." She whispered. "And I really.. I really love you." It was like she was talking to herself more than to me. "Im so scared something will happen to you." She said, her voice cracking in the middle of the sentence. I took her hand in mine again and stroked it with my thumb.

"I know." I whispered. "I know."

She looked up at me then.

"I.. I can see you." She said, her voice uncertain. She sat up straight, rubbed her eyes for a while and looked at me again. "I mean.. Its still a little blurry. But.. I can see you." She repeated, her voice a bit more excited now. I smiled.

"Karlie I can see you!" She shouted then, leaning forward and kissing my cheek. "I can see you!"

My cheeks turned into a deep red color and I smiled at her. "This is like the best news in days." I said.

Taylor was still staring at me in disbelieve. "I can see you, Karlie." She repeated again, a bit calmer this time. My smile turned bigger. She looked around the car and out of the windows and seemed to enjoy the view, hopefully not thinking about where we were heading, for a bit.

"Tay?"

"Yeah?" She replied, her hand in mine again now, as she excitedly took it.

"Why is your fur white?"

"I got it from my mom." She smiled. "Luckily." Her smile disappeared a little then. She was probably thinking about her mother.

"Its beautiful." I said, giving her hand a little squeeze. She looked up at me and smiled a little.

"Thank you." She said softly.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Its here." Taylor said, pointing outside of the window, to a path leading into the woods. "I can see everything so clear again now."

"Okay. Thats good." I said, pulling the car over and parking it in the grass. "Taylor, im not sure if we should head in there now.. I mean.. Its already dark and late.."

She looked at me and nodded. "But.. but Selena is out there Karls.. I.. we need to help her."

"Okay.." I mumbled, getting the key out of the ignition and stuffing it into my pocket.

God, I'm so scared..

"I know you're scared." She said then.

"Can you read minds or something?" I asked her, genuinely confused.

"No. I can read facial expressions though." She smiled. "And you look pretty damn scared right now."

I chuckled a bit at that. "Who knows what we will find in those woods, Tay.." I mumbles, noticing that my hands were shaking then.

"A lot of wolfs and maybe some vampires, who knows." Taylor replied easily.

Wow, what?!

"Uhmmm.. please tell me vampires don't exist."

She smiled apologetically and shrugged her shoulders.

"Great.." I mumbled. "Vampires."

"Most of them are scared of us though, or like friends with me. Don't worry." She said, trying to calm me down.

"Not worrying." I lied, trying to get my shaking body to stop. She engulfed me in a tight hug then.

"Im scared too." She whispered into my ear, kissing my cheek after. She took both of my hands in hers. "You can go home. I mean, I can do it alone. Maybe thats safer. Yeah.. thats probably-"

"No way, Taylor Swift." I interrupted her. "I don't think you know a lot about love huh?" I smiled at her.

"Its a werewolf thing." She said, shrugging her shoulders again and smiling at me widely. Her eyes shot down to my lips then and quickly back to my eyes. I stared into her light blue, now shining orbs. "I love your eyes." I mumbled, literally lost in them.

"You kinda told me that on our first 'date'." She smiled, staring back into my eyes. "I love yours too though."

I leaned in then, kissing her lips softly. She growled softly. I had gotten used to it now and it was something I found extremely cute. She pushed me back slightly, so that my back was now against the car door. I heard another soft growl this time. Her eyes opened and she leaned back slightly.

"Did you just growl?" She smiled, her cheeks flustered from the heat we both radiated. I felt a blush creeping onto my cheeks and looked away from her. She smiled, cupped my cheeks and captured my lips with hers. She kissed me passionately, her tongue slowly making its way into my mouth and fighting with mine. I grabbed the back of her neck to pull her closer and felt myself heat up extremely much then. My breathing became unsteady and I started shaking heavily.

She smiled and leaned back. "Shhh, relax babe." She whispered into my ear. Her hot breath tickled my skin and it wasn't particularly helping me. "You're gonna wilden if you don't calm down." She said, looking and smiling at me amusedly. I watched those beautiful blue eyes shine and leaned in to kiss her again.

She quickly leaned backwards a bit and I let out a groan. "Kiss me." I demanded seriously. She giggled. "Needy much?"

I grabbed the back of her neck anyway and brought her face closer to mine again. Our lips brushed and I then bit her under lip softly. The shaking of my body only became worse when we started kissing again and she laid down on top of me. She ran her tongue over my lips and soon they were dancing together again, as my hands got lost in her long curls. Her hands were everywhere and my body only got warmer and warmer until my eyes and limbs started hurting. My breathing went in a fast and unsteady pace and got so bad that I had to stop kissing her.

"Fuck.." I groaned.

She just smiled at me. "I warned you."

And yes, it was too late. I was shifting already, right underneath her. I pushed her off me quickly, scared that I would hurt her, and so she sat up, watching me. I closed my hurting eyes and let out a loud growl that was probably heard by everything and everyone close by.

I opened my eyes and saw her smiling widely at me. "Taylor, this is your fault. You shouldn't have laid down on top of me, you knew-"

"Karlie, I cant understand a word of what your saying." She interrupted me. "I don't speak wolf when I'm in my human form."

"Oh." I said or well, growled, I guess. She had a small cut on her upper arm and I looked at it with wide eyes. "Sorry."

She giggled a bit and brought her hand to my face. "What are you doi-" I started, but realized she couldn't understand me anyway.

"You look beautiful." She said. "Can I.. pet you?"

I didn't know how to answer her question and so I just tried moving my head up and down. It all went a bit rougher as I expected though I think, since Taylor was loudly laughing now, while stroking my head. I laughed too, but that turned out to siund like a screeching sound.

'How weird is this situation?' I thought to myself. 'Im a werewolf. A fucking werewolf. Sitting in a car thats parked next to the entrance of this creepy, dark forrest. A fucking werewolf who is a match with the prettiest creature on planet earth. A fucking werewolf that is probably going to head into that dark forrest with that same pretty girl or well, wolf. What the hell happened to my normal life?'

"Karlie?" A voice said, it was Taylor's. I looked at her, my ears up and my head slightly bend to the side.

"You're cute." She giggled. "But I think you can shift back now." For the first time I looked down at my own body, which was covered with this dirty blonde colored fur. I had four big paws and I was sitting straight up, in the way you always see dogs do. I looked at myself in the rearview mirror and let out a shriek. I heard Taylor chuckle again.

My eyes were bright green. You could see them so well in comparison to my darker fur. My ears were huge and were standing upright. And gosh, I could hear so much better. I hadn't even focussed on this kinda stuff last time when I shifted. Wait. I wasn't even supposed to shift yet, how is this even possible?

I was still looking in the mirror and opened my mouth a bit to see my teeth. They were bright white and were looking pretty sharp. I quickly closed my mouth again and looked at Taylor, who was smiling at me.

"Must be strange for you to see yourself this way." She said, leaning forward to kiss the top of my head then. I let out a content, soft growl. "You're not even supposed to shift yet. That means you're really strong, Karlie." She smiled.

I tried to do my best impression of me smiling, but instead opened my mouth and made a strange sound. Taylor giggled once more, and god did I love that.

"Please try shifting back? I would like to kiss you." She said, that same gorgeous smile on her face. "Cant do that when you're a wolf though."

I chuckled, but it sounded a bit like a dog barking. Taylor? How do I shift back? We never talked about this.

"Oh my god." She mumbled then. "We never talked about shifting back did we?" She asked, as if reading my mind once more.

I nodded my head clumsily and hoped she understood. She smiled and started explaining.

"Okay so you have to think of your own human features." I gave her a confused look. "I know, it sounds weird." She said, that same smile still on that pretty face of hers. I leaned forward and stroked my cheek against hers. She laughed and pet my head lovingly once more.

"Come on, think about your human self." She said then. "Think of you being in school, or you working, or how you normally look in the mirror. Anything human will do."

I closed my eyes and started thinking of some 'human' memories I had. I felt my limbs become numb for a second and heard a loud growl fill the air. A bright light flashed, I could even see it with my eyes closed. And then, suddenly, I was me again. Normal human me. There was this horrible pain in my arms and legs again, and my eyes were burning too this time. I opened my eyes, and looked at the blonde who's hands were covering her eyes.

"What the hell are you doing?" I laughed, my voice deep, low and cracking in the middle of the sentence. It apparently wasn't used to my normal human sentences yet.

"I promised you something a while ago." Taylor said, her hands still covering her eyes. I leaned back into my seat and closed my pained eyes.

"What then?" I asked tiredly, a shiver going trough my body as I was suddenly feeling oddly cold.

"That I wouldn't look if you would shift naked."

I opened my eyes immediately, looking at Taylor in stress.

"Get. Me. Clothes." I said, trying to cover up my body with my hands and arms as well as possible.

"They're probably on the floor in front of you." She giggled, still not looking at me however. I looked down at my feet and quickly got the pile of clothes from the gas and break paddle area and covered my body with it as I re-dressed myself.

Taylor, in the meantime, was looking out of the window and giggled softly.

"Done?" She asked after a while, still giggling.

"Yes." I replied shortly, my head as red as a tomato when she turned around to look at me. "Thanks for not looking." I mumbled, avoiding to look at her.

She leaned forward and kissed me hungrily. I was taken by surprise but kissed her back. She cupped both of my cheeks then, and I felt her smiling into the kiss. She leaned backwards, kissed my forehead, my cheek and then my lips once more.

"You looked so beautiful." She said, looking deeply into my eyes. "I.. I mean you still do.. but in your like.. uhhmm... wolf form."

I leaned forward then to kiss her lips shortly. "Thank you. You look beautiful too." I smiled. A wide grin appeared on her face then and she looked absolutely gorgeous.

"I love you." I said softly.

Her eyes looked confused for a bit then, as if she was searching for the right answer. An imaginary light bulb appeared above her head then though as she said:

"I love you too." While smiling widely at me.

"Gosh, you're so cute." I said, pinching her cheeks in a child like manner.

"I know, I know." She answers, one eyebrow lifted up. I laughed at her cockiness and smacked her arm playfully.

She suddenly cuddled closer to me then, laying her head on my shoulder, and laid there for a while.

"Sorry for scratching your arm by the way." I said softly.

"Thats fine, Im used to quite some scratches and bites lately." She said, I heard that she was smiling. I pulled her closer to me, wanting to enjoy these kind of precious moments with her, as much as posssible.

"We should probably go now huh?" I asked after a few minutes, kissing the top of her head right after.

"Yeah.." She sighed.

"We do it for Selena. You're a good friend, Tay." I said. She lifted her head up then and smiled a small smile at me.

"We can do this." She said, more to herself than to me.

"Yes." I replied confidently, while feeling horribly scared and nervous about all of this.

"Can I always shift now?" I asked, genuinely curious.

"I don't know.." She said. It wasn't the answer I was hoping for. "Im not really known with this thing you have. Like shifting a month before you officially should and all that. So I don't know. I only know that you're really strong, otherwise you wouldn't be able to do that." She explained.

"Well.." I said, trying to sounds as confident as possible. "I guess we will just see then."

She smiled a small smile. "God, Im scared." She mumbled, looking down at her hands once more.

"Me too." I admitted.

"For Sel." She said then, opening the car door.

Shes way too sweet for this cruel world..

"For Sel." I said, kissing the blonde's cheek and opening my side of the car too. It had stopped raining a little while ago and so the ground was slippery. We got our coats out of the back of the vehicle and both put our hoods on.

"Well, don't we look mysterious?" I joked, bumping into her with my shoulder. She didn't respond though. I took her hand in mine and gave it a little squeeze.

"Lets go." I said. We started walking the muddy path into the dark woods and looked around us in fear, holding onto each other's hand's tightly.

I hope this will end well..
