TRIGGER WARNING

⚠️ THIS FIC IS FOR MATURE AUDIENCES ONLY. THE FOLLOWING SCENES DEPICT VIOLENCE AND GORE. PLEASE READ WITH CAUTION.

With that being said. Let's begin. 👹👹👹

IVs snapped from the donor body previously believed to be vacant. Censors were going haywire as pandemonium erupted the once sterile safe space. Tools and scalpels clattered to the floor as the patients hands firmly gripped the opening of the glass tube. His muscles contorted and ripples as he pushed forward from the capsule. The cool feel of the glass partially startling him along with the slosh of liquid the stasis pod.

"Wow! I had no idea there were so many temperature censors on human skin."

His voice came out hoarse and barely audible. The nurses and doctor nearby all sat horrified, stunned into complete silence before one began screaming hysterically.

"Jeez talk about needing some water."Caine absent mindedly grabbed the unopened water bottle from a nearby nurse's hands as she screamed in his face.

Casually he snapped the lid off and chugged the liquid completely before tossing it into her horrified lap. He smiled grimly at her."We can do this the easy way or—"

She screamed and ran for the emergency switch in the corner to alert the guards, but before she even made it halfway the soft swish of air parting swiftly for a blade made its way straight into the back of her neck. The cool steel cut straight through as crimson poured from the wound. Everyone had begun either running at Caine or at the emergency switch. Though everytime someone ran for the switch they were swiftly dealt with.

At this point he had completely left the stasis pod and had begun slamming skulls to the tiled floor with a sickening crunch. Until it was just the doctor remaining who now stood completely still watching the life drain from his colleagues faces. Tears pricked at the corners of his eyes, "What have you—"

"Now as I said we can do this the easy way or hard way." Caine's eyes bore holes that dug into the doctor's very soul.

Deep down the physician knew something wasn't adding up. Something wasn't right. Who could've entered the body? There were no humans attached on the other end for transmission. Only the backup files for the programmer. When the realization hit after a careful process of elimination the doctor could only come to one conclusion.

"You're. Him. Aren't you?"

Caine tilted his head inquisitively, "Who?"

"You're the ai." The doctor whispered as he cowered in fear, back against the wall.

Caine's eyes narrowed like the slits of a large feline predator as he approached, "You're too smart for your own good."

"Y-you won't get away with whatever this is!" The doctor clutched at his chest as he yelled and spat in Caine's face.

"That's where you're wrong" Caine growled.

Before the doctor could utter another word Caine had taken the IV previously in his arm and jammed it into the doctors neck. A fountain of red followed suit as he withdrew and reinserted the needle several times mercilessly. The grotesque squelches echoed out in the truly lifeless room. Growing pools of blood around the battered and beaten corpses littered the operating room with a revolting sight.

Any human surely would've thrown up at the scene, but not the monster that occupied the space. His cold calculated executions were simply what had to be done in his mind. He paid no head to the damage done and stepped over each body. He patiently stood by the sink as he methodically cleaned the blood and brain matter off of his hands and forearms. Each stroke just as calculated as the murders before. He took time to inspect the rest after cleaning himself up.

"Welp! That's quite the mess I've made haha. This won't do."

Caine quickly cleaned up any evidence of what had happened by transporting the bodies into the disposal shoot nearby for contaminated materials. The furnace made quick work of their bodies as flames engulfed the fodder that fell. His unfeeling eyes watched from above at the sight. The fire glinting in his irises. Somehow by some odd struck of luck the colors happened to be heterochromatic just as they had been in the surface. Green and blue orbs glinted with orange as he spaced out. His thoughts became distant.

'What have I become?'

'What haven't I become!'

'She loves me. I have to protect her.'

'They were innocent. They didn't deserve this.'

Gritting his teeth he spat at his guilty conscience with pure malice, "They got in our way."

The two sides of him formed a clear duality as his mind split and fractured into two halves. He shook off the internal battle within and refocused on his dire situation. Sure there was no surveillance footage of the operating room due to a combination of patient confidentiality and the need to keep C&A's secrets at bay, but there certainly was in the hallways.

Putting on slick latex gloves and the same surgical gear as the doctors had he messily recreated what he recalled them wearing. A few steps were followed incorrectly and certain garments were out of order, but overall the look was passable for security at least. Maybe not fellow medical staff.

He made note of his appearance before grabbing the badge of a staff member who closely resembled his new body. The badge displayed a man in his early 30s. Cleanly shaven. He had maroon locks of hair that ranged between browns and more reddish tones. His eyes though were nothing like Caine's. They were a deep honey brown.

The metal door creaked as he opened the room quietly. He didn't know this, but the operation was scheduled to conclude in roughly 10 minutes. That was about as much time as he had to make his exit. As he strode down the hallway he caught a glimpse of a row of lockers. One having the name of the man's badge he'd stolen. He quickly opened it as it was one of the few missing a lock. Inside was a well worn brown leather wallet and car keys to an older car.

"These seem useful!"

Caine snatched up the wallet and car keys before disappearing into the corridor once more. Arrows pointed towards the exit in bold red letters.

'I can't believe they didn't change the password since leaving me there. Talk about negligence ha! Oh well. Time to find y/n.'

The light of day partially stunned Caine as he exited the building. Bright blinding rays kissed his pale skin with a searing heat he wasn't accustomed to. After he got used to the warm sensation of sunlight he took the time to check out his surroundings. A vast forest surrounded the building. There were several nearby he recognized from observing the surveillance system before hijacking the donor body.

One building in particular caught his eye as it appeared to have been abandoned. He froze in place contemplating going in to see if it was the one from his photos in the circus, but rational thought took over. Deciding against it for the risk of being caught he clicked the car keys to sound off the lock button. Not wanting to use a full on alarm to find it as it may attract unwanted attention.

As the little beeps became closer he stumbled upon an old looking red sports car. (Pick any kind of old sports car). He hummed a satisfied tune, opening the door gleefully. Truthfully he loved the smell of old leather. It was something he'd never experienced before in the circus. Smells were a bit harder for him to code after all! Considering the fact he didn't have a ton of knowledge on them in the first place. Though he did understand and over emphasize the few he knew.

Taking mental notes of the feel, sight, sound, and smell of everything Caine was already planning his next adventure.

'Hmmm. I should craft an adventure where the car salesman only sells these in different colors and the members have to buy one! They'll earn their way out through street racing. Yes. I can see it now.'

The engines roar caused Caine to jump back slightly, "Gollyyyy!! That's a powerful engine."

Caine whistled as he cruised down the road. Not obeying traffic laws whatsoever. He sped through every turn and bank with precision that even a top notch race car driver would have trouble pulling off. Only slowing when he neared what appeared to be civilization. He surprisingly finally noticed speed limit signs as he approached the highway.

"Oh my! I should probably follow those hahah!"

Before pulling onto the main stretch he contemplated on how to find y/n. He had no clue what her phone number was. No clue where her house was. Not even where she was currently! Wait. That wasn't true. She was at the mall.

"Oop! I should probably take these off now huh?"

He looked down at his gloves and surgical gear. Removing the latex and elbow length surgical gloves he tossed them in the passenger seat.

Roadsigns with unfamiliar city and town names passed him by as he continued his journey. Until one in particular had caught his eye. A large advertisement displayed on a giant stand made the gears in his brain turn.

(Insert city) Mall 30 miles down the road on the right! Come see us by taking exit 69.

"Well that was easy!"
