Chapter 33

Damien kept searching for you with zero luck on his side. It felt like every new room they entered the chances of running into you were dwindling.

Meanwhile up in the observatory tower where Caine had thoroughly welcomed you back to adventuring you sat deep in thought. Gazing down at the dozens of screens displays all sorts of mazes and puzzles ahead. You debate on going back in to help out the others.

"Soo uhh— do I go back now?" You mumbled spacing out slightly.

Caine raised a non existent eyebrow, shifting his jaw to form the missing expression, "Well we can't have that can we? You know all the rooms and the order they're in now! Where's the fun in that?"

You mulled over it for a moment before shrugging. Unable to argue with the rare bit of logic in his statement.

'I can't just sit this out.'

"Are you suuuureee I can't go back?" You tug at Caine's sleeves.

He shifts towards you and caresses your cheek, "Well when you put it like that."

He gently places a kiss on your forehead before you're teleported back with the others. Caine now sat infront of the dozens of screens watching you closely.

I wanna wait until the 12th when the new episode comes out before we continue. Since part of me wants to keep the fanfic true to the original series. Sorry for the hiatus!! I shall be back either the same day as the episode or the day after :)
