Chapter 26

"What the fuck do I do?" You panick whispering to Pomni.

She begins looking between you and Caine, seeing Caine's unnerving expression. His eyes fixated on you searching for something you couldn't quite place. You felt like Caine was studying you. Almost daring you to make the wrong move. His gaze suddenly averted to Damien, now evidently angry.

Damien made eye contact with Caine, "Oh uh!!! Sorry guys. I uh. Took some stupid sauce with Zooble earlier!! And uhh. It turns out. I'm uhhh—just"

Damien couldn't think of an excuse fast enough. So Zooble looked over at Gangle with a wide eyed concerned expression. Zooble sprung into action by whispering in Gangle's ear, "I know that this goes against all that we've talked about. I just need you to know everything I'm about to say is to cover this idiots ass so we don't all die today."

Gangle barely having time to process Zooble's quickly whispered words begins looking at her with confusion and concern, "what are you—"

Zooble loudly spoke up, "Sorry! It's just. We weren't gonna make it public knowledge. But uhh— Damien, Gangle, and I had plans to have a threesome. Right now. And the topic just. Brought it up. At a. Bad time. He's. Yea. Forgive him. You know how men are— ahaaa~"

A nervous bead of sweat rolls down Zooble's face. She was almost 100% certain Caine would never buy such a wild excuse. Though Caine wasn't here to hear Damien's endless rants about y/n while gone, maybe just maybe he'd believe.

Caine suspiciously eyed Zooble. While Damien scooted closer to where Gangle and Zooble stood.

"I—it's true. I'm sorry guys. Bad timing is all."

Caine pondered if he'd believe it or not momentarily. That was when Gangle suddenly held Damien's hand and Zooble held the other.

Jax suspiciously eyed them up and down, "We're seriously supposed to—" Pomni cut Jax off by running up to him and aggressively kissing him on the mouth. Jax's ears stood straight up and his tail stiffened as Pomni pressed against him for the first time in two weeks. After their huge falling out Pomni hadn't touched him. He was almost certain their relationship was over. When she backed away he just stood there confused and flustered. Staring down at the now pink jester.

"What. Was that?" He mumbled in a monotone voice with a blank stare and red cheeks.

Caine interrupted, "Well since tensions are high today why don't we opt in for a more relaxing adventure! How's that sound my busy little bees?"

Caine teleported all of you to a previous adventure. You now stood in the candy kingdom once more. Pomni's eyes grew impossibly wide as she looked around, "Wait. Is this?"

Jax with his signature smirk now back in full swing after Pomni's kiss, "Sure is."

Jax threw an arm over Pomni's shoulder, "Our first adventure."

Caine appeared next to the group, "I figured this would be the perfect adventure for the newly reunited couple! And since you've already completed it before it should be easy peasy. All you have to do this time is get the cannibalistic fudge monster out of their kingdom! Tataaaa~ have fun now!!!"

You look at Caine confused, "Wait I wasn't here when you guys did this what—"

And suddenly you had been swallowed whole by the fudge monster. The light of the outside slowly cut off by rows of candy corn teeth. A warm sticky fidget substance filled your nostrils and senses. All you could smell and taste was the chocolate goop filling your exposed holes. Though you felt afraid you knew you didn't need to breathe in the circus so it wasn't like you were suffocating by any means. You were perfectly fine floating inside his stomach. Well physically at least. On the inside you were in full panic mode unsure of what was happening.

On the outside of the monster there was yelling, though it was muffled you could make out the sound of Damien screaming, "we have to get her out of there!!"

Jax seemingly annoyed and nonchalant replied, "Oh will you shut up. Y/n this. Y/n that. She's fine. She's just inside the belly of a fudgey goopy guy."

Pomni yelled, "Wait!! Watch out!!"

Suddenly another body collided with yours as the fudge monster swallowed another player. NPCs outside began screaming in terror and running off in different directions. You feel a leg kick your head, annoyed but unable to speak due to the thick liquid you grumble instead. Then the feeling of two legs in front of your face hits you.

The liquid sloshed around your forms as the monster moved about the city. Your forms repeatedly colliding, until the fourth time you finally latch onto whoever's there with you and hold them closer to your form. You straddle their body and wrap your legs around their torso. When suddenly another wave of movement separates you.

The next time you collide you felt them come from behind you. This time they wrapped their arms around you. A muffled whimpered traveled through the thick sticky substance to your ears. You instantly recognized it as Damien based on the whimpering and the feeling of his hoody. You give him a reassuring pat on the head before the fudge's thrashing about separates you once more.

Meanwhile on the outside Ragatha was being chased by the giant goopy beast.

"Mmmm licorice my favoriteeee!" The beast groaned as it ran after Ragatha.

Kinger was scuffling beside Ragatha attempting to shove a metal bucket over her hair, "Quick!! Put this on!!"

Ragatha yelled back at Kinger, "Gahh!! Stop!! Kinger I can't see when you do that!!"

Kinger and Ragatha continued stumbling about along the streets beside the castle walls. While just above them Pomni and Jax drove the syrup truck straight towards the goopy creature. Clouds of candy dust being kicked up behind them as the engine roared at full speed.

Pomni was pressed into the passenger seat from the sheer speed. She looked over at Jax uncertain and nervous, "Uhhhh. Are you sure this will work?"

Jax shrugged nonchalantly while grinning, "Eh. Worked last time!!"

He then pushed his purple foot all the way down to the floor. The truck roared as it suddenly made a sharp turn off the ledge of the castle walls. Plummeting straight down towards the goopy creature's head.

"Holy sh%^ Jax!!" Pomni screamed as the truck went nose first into the head.

Fudge splattered all over the windshield as the goop began settling down and dispersing beneath them.

The creature mumbled out in defeat, "Nooot aaagaaaainnn~"

The goop splashed out in waves. Throwing y/n and Damien on the ground wrapped around one another. Damien slowly opened his eyes while you kept yours shut. He looked around hesitantly as his eyes landed on Jax and Pomni in the truck a few feet ahead.

"Wha?? What happened?" You began opening your eyes as well, unwrapping yourself from Damien.

Jax whistled at the sight, "Wooaahhh. Damien. Didn't know you were a lady killer like that! Holding Caine's girl. Wowwww."

You angrily blush and yell at Jax, "Shut up! It's not like that idiot. We were trying to stay together."

Jax retorted, "Oh you're staying together alright."

Zooble came running over, "Are you TRYING to get us killed?"

Jax rolled his eyes, "How many times do I have to tell you tooth fairy ain't gonna hurt us. He's harmless. Just an AI."

Zooble angrily whispered, "You don't KNOW that. The only thing stopping him from torturing us is the fact that he LIKES us!! How many times have I told you this already?"

Gangle awkwardly and nervously pokes her ribbon arms together, "uhhh. Guys. I think we have a problem."
