Chapter 1

A bright neon portal opened in the circus tent as Caine eagerly awaited the return of his beloved circus members. One by one they all landed on the ground with a plop. All of them bouncing off one another in a jumbled pile. Pomni had the pleasure of having Jax fall on top of her. Causing a dusty pink glow that moved even outside the normal circles on her cheeks.

Pomni looked up in pain before groaning, "Caaaaiiine Couldn't you have given us a softer landing?" Jax rubbed his purple ears and winced after they got landed on by Pomni.

Jax propped himself up and she rolled down onto his lap, "I don't know I kinda like this landing." Pomni shrieked in embarrassment at his response and scuttled away, "wha—I uh—bu—ahhh!" Her face slowly turned completely red as she put distance between the two of them. Jumping off his lap as fast as humanly possible.

Caine nonchalantly shrugged and replied, "Probably could've made a landing pad."He taps the top of his cane in thought. Pondering the next adventure to put you all on. As everyone begins to stand Caine's enthusiastic voice echoed out, "Oh well!!! I've got to go drink some water now. I haven't done that in awhile. Have fun my meowing milk maids!!"

Jax groaned, "I told you to stop calling us that you—" He gave up mid sentence after Caine simply disappeared. Figuring it was pointless since the ring leader never listened to them anyways. "So who wants to go eat? I'm starving."Jax stretched his arms above his head leaning back.

Zooble rolled her eyes, "How are we supposed to get food? Caine took bubble with him and he's the only one who can cook."

Suddenly a bright flash of light came through and y/n plopped on the ground face first. The icing of her hair splatting on the floor. Her outfit flattened on the ground along with her body physics before she bounced back up.

Jax raised an eyebrow before lunging to bite into the cupcake woman's hair covered in (f/c) icing. It was like the evil Jax incident all over again as he flung you around by his sharp teeth. "What the f*^% let me go you f*^+^ng freak!"

Y/n began smacking the top of Jax's head and grabbing his ears. She pulled them back like horns on a bull, but Jax simply ignored her fighting back and continued chomping away at her icing hair.

Pomni immediately ran over, "Jax no!! Bad Jax!!"

She began trying to pull Jax off y/n while Ragatha screamed for Caine in a panick. The tussle between y/n and Jax ended up rolling into gangle and they knocked her comedy mask off.

"Noo! Not my comedy mask"

Zooble angrily ran over and began trying to pull Jax off too all while screaming censored curses. While Kinger just began screaming running in circles around the fight, "WHY IS GOING ON?" His little gloved hands flailing about.

Caine eventually reappeared to see what the commotion was after Ragatha screaming his name finally caught his attention. He angrily peeled his—...face mask?? Off his...teeth??? Cucumbers slid off his eyeballs as he clutched the towel around him, "WHY IS MY WATER DRINKING SESSION BEING INTERRUPTED?!!" Bubble angrily floated in front of him, "Daddy bubble angry" Caine immediately popped bubble in annoyance. Only for bubble to reappear a few feet behind him.

Everyone tried answering Caine at the same time, but instead of listening he simply snapped his fingers. Suddenly he was fully dressed in his usual attire, his cucumbers and face mask disappearing with a pop. And just like that everyone was lined up in front of him against the circus wall. They looked like a police station lineup while Caine looked for his suspect. "Wait a minute..."

Caine raised an eyebrow, "Why is there more of you than usual...?"He began counting everyone in the lineup starting with Jax and Pomni. Jax still trying to get y/n with Pomni standing between them.

"One" Jax froze and looked over at Caine. "Two" Pomni Yanked Jax off y/n. "Threeee—???"

"A new member! Fantastic!!"He stopped counting and began levitating you out forward while healing your injuries from Jax with the wave of his hand. Your f/c outfit and f/c icing hair were suddenly fixed. "Well this certainly won't do!!! Jax we cannot have you eating our guests." Caine pointed his cane at Jax angrily.

Zooble interrupted, "but he eats the NPCs all the time!? And what about when he literally attacked me for an adventure?!!"

Caine simply waved his hand dismissively, "That doesn't count." He then zipped Zooble's mouth shut, "That never works. I still don't have a mouth genius." Caine turned his back to the others as he floated you two higher, "Anyways, what's your name?" He ignored Zooble and hovered in the air with you eagerly awaiting your response.

You looked around still confused and scared. "Who—are you?"He immediately forgot his own question for you and proudly straightened his tie, "Why I'm—!"

Y/n, "Where am I?"

Caine placed a finger over your mouth, "One question at a time, please dear."You blushed in response. Not expecting him to make you feel that way in response. Your hand goes up to touch where he touched your lip as he retracted his own hand.

You begin floating higher and higher until you're phasing through the roof and above the circus tent. "I'm Caine! Your wacky wonderful ring leader here in the amazing digital circus. This is your new home!"You look at him confused. "Forever."

What???

You immediately panic, "wha—but. My —"You forget the rest of your sentence as you struggle to remember where you came from or why you even needed to leave.

Your head was reeling in confusion as he showed you around the circus grounds and tent. After your little orientation and everyone's reactions to your arrival earlier this was now your fate and all very real. During your introduction you felt a bit of ... jealousy ? When the moon flirted with Caine you felt your heart clench and your jaw tighten a bit. In the moment you felt too shy to say anything.

"Any questions for me dear?"Caine looked at you excitedly. You fidget a little before responding, "There's no way to leave is there?" "Nope!" He gazed out across the lake you two were sitting by. "I guess it could be worse." Caine felt a slight frown form on his face before responding, "Let's get you on your first adventure!"

Caine teleported you both back into the circus tent and snapped his fingers. Pulling everyone out their rooms. "Todays adven—"

Zooble began flailing her arms out of frustration, "but we just went on one!!"She marched up to under where Caine was floating and rested her arms on her hips sassily. While gangle continued sketching pictures of y/n, because she thought her outfit was cute. 🥰

Caine waved his cane around and exclaimed, "Now, now!!! We can't have our new guests being bored to death." He over-exaggerated his face when he said bored to death and flung his tongue out and made his eyes roll back.

Y/n whispered under her breath to Ragatha, "I wonder what his tongue can do." Ragatha giggled and covered her hand over her mouth as both of you turned red giggling. Pomni gasped and also began giggling with them after she realized what you said.

Caine did a double take and froze straight as a plank as a blush formed on his cheeks. "What?"

Jax grinned and laughed, "I think she's far from bored."

Pomni added, "No thanks to you! You probably traumatized her."Ragatha placed a hand on your back while Zooble and Pomni looked at Jax annoyed. Jax immediately rolled his eyes at the sight of Ragatha already going to comfort you. "Oh come on she's only been here for ten minutes if that!" Ragatha angrily shot Jax a glance before turning back to you, "Unfortunately he's always like that. Sorry about him. Just ignore him."

Caine still sitting there in shock was slightly glitching, "The amazing digital circus is rated for all ages and we must stray far from such content!!" The blush still apparent on his cheeks. In the back of his mind he couldn't help but wonder what y/n meant by what she said. As an ai he didn't fully understand humans and what certain things meant as his creator simply didn't teach him, but little did they know he did infact have access to the internet and would be researching what y/n meant while they were out on their adventure.

You look over nervously at Caine wondering if he heard you. "Back to your new Adventure!"He stares back at all of you with an empty yet excited look that indicates there are zero thoughts behind those eyes. Caine looks as though he suddenly had a brain cell connect to a coherent thought, "Ah!! I almost forgot. What was your name again dear?"

"Uhhh— it's. Uhh— I don't... remember?"

Caine proudly suggested, "how about y/n!"Gangle asked, "What happened to rolling the gambling machine for a name?"

Zooble shrugged her shoulders while Pomni and Ragatha also began wondering why y/n didn't have her name selected at random. Little did y/n know everyone else had their names randomly selected before. As everyone had forgotten their original identity, but for some unknown reason he seemed to take a liking to her name. He secretly wanted her to keep the same name as before.

"Now for today's adventure!"
