Chapter 23 - That Little Devil From Hell

Nanon's POV

We arrived at campus. Today is the first day of the final year. "P'Ohm, you can go to class first, I'm going to the toilet." I told Ohm. I went to the toilet, and on the way back, I saw what I assumed is a lost kid. Judging from his outfit, I assumed he's a freshman. And he's reading a campus map, eventhough he read it upside down. Should I help him? Hmm. I looked at my watch. He was already late for orientation, so I supposed I could help him. "Nong, are you lost?" I greeted him. He stayed silent, but looked at me funny. "Nong?" I asked again, waving my hand in front of him. "Oh.. uhm.. yeah, kind of, I guess. Do you know which way to the auditorium?" He asked. "And that's because you were holding your maps upside down." I laughed. He looked embarassed. "Okay then, bye nong." I waved him goodbye and get back to my class. 

It was after the second period, we went to the cafetaria to have lunch. The cafetaria was packed. I searched for an empty table to sit, while Ohm, Drake, and Perth queued to order. I finally found an empty table and sat there. I texted Ohm my location. He already finished ordering. I saw him, waved at him, and he walked towards me. Suddenly, out of nowhere, one guy stopped him, and started talking. "Phi, don't bully him. That's not a nice thing to do. Just go somewhere else and don't bother him." Huh? What's happening? "Huh? Are you insane?" Ohm looked confused too. "You were about to bully this kid, right?" Kid? I looked at the guy and I realized him as the guy from this morning. I looked at Ohm and he looked like he's ready to fight. "If I wanna bully this kid, what you gonna do about it? Fight me?" I was about to say something but Perth showed up out of nowhere, and shut me up with his palm. "Shh, don't stop them. I want to see where this is going. So exciting." He whispered to me. He looked like a kid in a candy store. "I.. I... I'm going to fight... fight you... I won't... won't let you... hurt him." He tried to act tough, but he's so scared, his voice is shaking. "Hmm. Too bad he's mine. And I can do whatever I want to him. And there's nothing you can do to stop me." The new guy was about to punch Ohm, which he can dodge easily, of course. I untangled myself from Perth and stopped their fight. "NONG, STOP." I shouted to him. He stopped his punch mid air, and ended up losing his balance and fell. "You got it all wrong. Bullying? Where did you get the idea?" I asked him. He got up from the floor and cleaned his pants. "Well, umm.. I saw him walked towards you like he's mad at you. And my friend said that this senior is a scary one who sent people to the hospital" He explained. "Huh? Where did you get that very false information? Nong, I'm not gonna bully him. He's my boyfriend. He's mine. If anything, I'll be the one protecting him from bully." Ohm tried to explain to him. The new guy's face fell. "Bo.. bo.. boyfriend? Oh God, I'm so sorry. But Fourth said you were the victim of bullying since high school." He told me. "No, I'm not. Wait... did you say Fourth?" No way this is the same Fourth. I looked around, and there he is, Fourth, waving at me with that devilish smile. No no no no no. He stood up and walked towards me.

"Hello, p'Non. Long time no see." He greeted me. "Hi Fourth." I greeted him back. I turned to the new guy. "Nong, you just got pranked by this little devil." I explained to him. "So, you're not actually a victim of bullying? And this guy right here didn't send people to the hospital? Oh God, this is embarrassing." He looked embarrased enough. "I'm Nanon by the way, and this is Ohm. We're in our final year right now." I introduced myself. "I'm Indy. P'Ohm, I'm so sorry I accused you of bullying p'Nanon. P'Nanon, I'm sorry, I thought you were a freshman, like me and Fourth." Okay, that one was uncalled for. "Nanon, how do you know Fourth here?" Ohm asked me. "Umm.. he's... p'Bright's little brother." I tried to explain as smooth as possible. "And p'Non is my brother's ex boyfriend." Fourth tried to stir some trouble. One problem with Fourth is that he has a brother complex syndrome, and he hated me because I used to be close with p'Bright. "I'm not p'Bright's ex, we never made it official." I have to think of some ways to avoid him. "And why are you here anyway? You should just go to England with p'Bright." I don't like him. "Hmm. They said that this is the best campus in the country, and they were right. Meeting you here is just a bonus." He winked at me. Ugh. "Fourth, you're always looking for trouble." Suddenly, another person joined us. Gemini, Fourth's best friend since childhood. "Ah, p'Nanon. Nice to see you again. I didn't know you went to college here too." He greeted me. I waved back. "Is this why you insist on enrolling here?" He asked Fourth. "Umm. No..?" Fourth tried to dodge the question. I know that Gemini is his handler, so I can relax a bit now. "Okay, that's it. Come on, let's go back to our table, leave them alone. Come on Indy, you too. Let's go." He started dragging Fourth back to their table. "But.. but.." Fourth tried to escape. "No buts, you've caused enough trouble for one day. Bye p'Nanon." I waved them goodbye. Finally, the drama is over. 

Ohm's POV

"So, that's your ex brother in law?" I teased Nanon. "Stop it. I never officially got together with p'Bright. But if I did, that means you're not my first boyfriend. And you don't like that, do you? You don't want that kind of thing to happen." He teased me back. "You have a smart mouth, all right. Whose boyfriend are you, huh, whose boyfriend." I squeezed his cheeks. "I really want to bite your cheeks. But I'll be patient until we get home, and then I'm going to bite your other cheeks." I let go of him. "Ohm, that really is too much information." Perth gagged. "Let's go back to class." Nanon started to get up. "But wait, I need to buy another drink. Wait here, okay." Nanon left to buy a drink. 

"Okay, who's going to say it?" Perth started talking. "For someone who got straight As, Nanon sure is stupid." Drake added. "Yeah, how can he be so blind." I added too. "He really don't realized that Fourth has a crush on him." I continued. "State the obvious. I mean, you just look at him once and you can see it." Drake continued. "So, what you gonna do about it?" Perth asked me. "Hmm.. nothing, I guess? Just don't tell Nanon." I told them. "Don't tell Nanon what?" Nanon appeared from behind me. "That we're going out without him later." Drake lied. Nanon's face fell. "Just kidding, we'll never leave you behind." I hugged him. "Come on, let's go back to class." 

Several days later...

I went to rugby practice. This is my final year, so we're going to vote for a new leader to take over. There were a lot of juniors this year. And among them, the trouble makers group from yesterday. They decided to join the rugby team. Ugh. "Good evening p'Ohm." Indy greeted me. "Good evening nong." I greeted him back. "Once again, I'm so sorry about the trouble the other day." I don't think people will be as cruel to name their kid Scorpio. Gemini? Yes, that's it. His name is Gemini. "Yeah, luckily no one got hurt." I told him. "Ugh, say it. Just say it already. It was all my fault. There. You guys don't have to be sarcastic about it." Fourth rambled. "Yes, that was your fault. Now, apologize to p'Ohm." Gemini told him. "But.. but.." Fourth tried to defend himself. "No buts, just apologize already." Gemini doesn't budge. "Ugh. Okay, fine. P'Ohm, I'm sorry. I'm sorry that Indy took my prank too seriously. I'm sorry that he almost attacked you. And I'm sorry that he caused you and p'Non some trouble. There, I apologized. Happy now?" He stomped out. I shook my head. 

I went to the drug store after practice. Rugby is a rough sport, and getting bruises and scratches is very common. I wanted to buy some ointment for my bruises. "The first time I saw him was when he came to my house to study with p'Bright. I thought he was cute, and I tried to get his attention, but... but he misunderstood everything. He thought I got mad at him because he tried to steal my brother from me." He fell silent for a second. "But the truth is, I want him to look at me, eventhough I know I have no chance at that time. "I thought if he sees me now, he's going to change his opinions about me. He's going to see me as this more mature guy and not just some little brat. And that I can finally have my chance with him. So imagine my surprise when I saw him posting that prewedding photos of him and some guy I never heard before." I got confused. Prewedding? Oh, he meant that holiday photos. Only one more year and I don't have to see him anymore." I tried to calm myself down. "Remember when he sabotaged what was supposed to be your first kiss with p'Bright? "But, it's kinda funny how you called me the little devil, when you were the one who burned down the gallery, and the one who got 'kidnapped'. He laughed. "How.. how did you know that?" I was taken aback. 

"Okay, that's enough. I think Nanon should know the truth, about what you told me the other day." Ohm joined in. Fourth stopped laughing. "P'Ohm, what are you...?" He stopped. "No. No no no no.. please no." He begged him. "Well, the truth is...." Ohm stopped for the suspense. He looked at Fourth and smirked. "Okay, what's the truth?" I'm curious. Fourth shook his head. "The truth is... Fourth is in love with p'Bright and wanted to be his boyfriend." Ohm laughed. "Huh? What? Fourth? You? Eeewww... eeewww... eeewww.. that's super disgusting. Fourth no, please no, he is your older brother. I got that you have a brother complex syndrome, but to love him as a boyfriend is too far." I played along. Fourth's face fell. Ohm's POV

We were having lunch on one afternoon. Suddenly, Drake took a deep breath. "Okay. Okay. I can do this." He said to himself. "Guys, I have something to announce." He took a deep breath again. "I'm in a relationship now." He dropped his news. "Wow. Congratulations. Who's the lucky girl? Do we know her?" Nanon asked, he looked excited. "Umm. Kind of?" Drake looked unsure. "Umm. Remember Love?" We nodded. "Yeah, it's her. We kinda got close, and now we are in a relationship." We fell silent. I looked at Nanon. Nanon looked at me. Hmm? How should we react? Nanon cleared his throat. "Drake, we're so happy for you. You finally found someone you love." Nanon smiled. "Really? You're not mad?" Drake still looked unsure. "Huh? Why would I be mad? If you love her, and she loves you, go for it." Drake smiled. "Thanks, dude. I felt so relieved. I really thought you were going to get mad and yelled at me." He laughed. "By the way, how do you get her to like you? I mean, look at you, and look at her. Surely she has a better choice, right?" I teased him. "Ohm, you bastard." He laughed too. "I bet when you walked together, people thought you were her bodyguard or something." Perth joined in. "Perth, not you too. At least I'm not single now." He teased back. We laughed hard. "Shh, guys, we are being too loud. People are staring." Nanon tried to calm us down. "Drake, I have a serious question to ask." We all got quiet and listened to Nanon. "Love knows she's in a relationship with you, right? It's not just all in your head?" Nanon tried to keep a straight face but failed. We laughed again. "Okay, enough everyone, stop teasing me." He tried to stop us. "But seriously Drake, we're happy for you." Nanon said again. "Yeah, and feel sad for Love. I mean, if you guys get married, she has to spend the rest of her life with you." I added. We laughed all the way back to class.
