Kais POV

I looked over at the snoring red head and giggled as his head fell with ever word the teacher said. The teacher then drones on about tactics and way we could have done better on the exam.

I'm ready to fall asleep too crap...

Kirishimas snores started to get louder, the classmates around us taking notice. If he got caught one more time, he'd be toast.

"Kiri.." I whispered, poking his forehead.

His eyebrow twitched, swatting away my hand. I groaned while i tapped the pencil in hand.

"Kirishima can you tell me the answer to this question?" The teacher suddenly asked, slowly turning to face us.

My eyes widened, i quickly knocked his elbow to jolt him awake. The boys head hit the table, yelping with pain.

"Get. Up." I growled, motioning with my eyes that the teacher was looking at us.

He quickly got up, frantically trying to folds his arms to keep cool.

"Ah yes the answer is..." He replied, trying to figure out what question we were on.

"Secure the building first" I whispered to him.

"SECURE THE BUILDING FIRST!" He declared, smashing his first together for dramatic effect, a nervous sweat dripping down his forehead.

I choked on the laughter i was holding, the teacher giving me and odd look but moving on with Kiris answer. He gave him a nod of approval and went back to the board. I sighed in relief but my eyes glanced over to that class B boy who wouldn't stop giving me sly smirks.

I turned back to Kirishima, who had already started to frantically look for his notes. Cocking my head to the side, he stuck his tongue out at me.

"Hey, i don't want to repeat what just happened, so don't give me that look." He chuckled, pushing his papers together in a large mess.

"Whatever, hey who's that dude that keeps staring at us in the front?" I questioned, motioning with my eyes. The blonde headed boy kept grinning creepily at the board, like he was broken or something.

Kirishima finished what he was doing and squinted his eyes at the figure.

"Ah, that's the guy who Bakugou and I had trouble with during the games. His quirk copies other quirks. Awesome ain't it?" He groaned sarcastically.

"You and Bakugou being a team? Wow you guys must've got along well." I said rolling my eyes.

He nodded with a smile, understanding what i meant. Twirling the pencil in hand, he stared out to the window.

"The guy may be scary and terrifyingly angry all the time and not the greatest role model... but I think he could make a great hero." He grinned facing towards me.

"Hm, for once you're right about one part." I sighed, pulling my legs toward my chest.

He'd make a better hero than me

"What do you mean for one part!" He bellowed.

I laughed, shaking her head. The corners of my eyes getting dark.

"I think you'd make a pretty good hero too." I grinned with closed eyes.

Kirishimas eyes widened at my surprisingly  sweet comment, something i don't usually do.  A pink blush forming on his surprised face.

"You would too ya know" He whispered.

I quickly turned to growl at him, but my face fell. I no longer felt hatred towards that word. Hearing him say that... it kind of made my heart swell. Hiding my face, i just shook my head. Little did i know, he was hiding his too.

EVERYONE ON ALERT!

My hands suddenly grabbed the table, searching for the voice that said that. A warm feeling quickly touched my shoulder. I looked up to see Kirishima with wide eyes. He kept one hand on my shoulder, the other motioning the others to stay close. I reached up to grip his hand as the voice kept talking. It seemed like everyone else had heard it too.

"I heard it too. It Mandalays quirk, telepathy." He comforted me.

I exhaled slowly, nodding at his reply.

Her words came again. Everyone's faces fell, as she spoke. My own heart felt like it had stopped beating. The two words that i could recall made my stomach drop.

Two villains

Villains don't travel in pairs if they come into a place like this. Especially if it's Shigaraki. And if i assume right....

There's more of them.

"It's not just two..." I whispered, clutching my shirt.

Aizawa quickly ran out of the classroom, with worrisome face. A trail of papers left behind.

I need to help

I looked over one more time to the classmates near me. I know they all met this year. but they all stuck up for each other like family. Over the past months, they've grown so much.

I want to do the same.

Somehow... Somehow I felt like if i left, i wouldn't be able to come back. I looked towards the nearest window, releasing my grip from Kirishima. Swiftly I grinned at him, inching towards the window. He gave me a confused smile, but his face turned into a frown as I formed the horns on my head.

"Kai No!" He yelled, but he was a second too late.

Crashing through the window, i ignored the calls from the teachers and students. I landed on the ground, hearing screams. Raising my head, I sniffed the smokey air. The smelling of burning wood was fresh. And it wasn't the only thing i smelled.

Blood.. And some type of gas...

I ran towards the closest smell. Turning the corner, i found Aizawa in a battle between a familiar villain.

I know his file, he's got something similar to... Shigaraki

Running towards them at full speed, i bent my head down, ready to brace impact. Hopefully ramming him would knock him out.

Aizawa took notice of me, and gave me a look I knew to steer clear of. It was a look that said 'This is my fight. Stay out of it'

I stopped in my tracks, just in time to hear what villain had to say.

"We'll meet again." And like that he vanished, into a black purplish liquid. Both struck by his actions, i quickly rushed to find his scent. But there was no lead.

Aizawa turned towards me, emotionless as always.

"Go back inside" He said sternly, as the other students clamored to see what had happened.

"No" I growled back, lifting the back of my shirt.

"You're not going out there!" He said more aggressively.

"And im not one of your freaking students that had to stay and watch people get hurt." I growled back, releasing my wings.

STUDENTS MAY ENGAGE BATTLE

The voice came again, the look on Aizawas face had changed. I grinned slyly, at the words.

"I know these villains better than them, and I'm going." I announced, catching Kirishimas face. His eyes were glossy, i knew what that meant.

AS SUCH KACCHAN SHOULD AVOID BATTLE AS MUCH AS HE PR SHE CAN

My eyes widened. Shigaraki really is going after this one.

I didn't know i was crying until i felt a tear drop onto my shirt. The shirt Kiri gave me the day i saved him. Aggressively i tried to wipe away the tears but they kept coming.

Why... why am I crying?

I knew my eyes were black. I knew this was the last time. There's no coming back from this one.

"Aizawa sensei..." I choked out, while Kirishima had crashed through the door. The messy haired man turned towards me with a stern look.

"I'm going to protect the people I love."

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

As i was flying overhead, something had launched out of nowhere, heading in the  direction i was going. I peered my eyes to get a better look, the 3 figures all too familiar. Gasping, i recognized them fully.

It's Shouji, Midoriya and Todoroki.

I quickly swooped down to follow them, hoping they knew where Bakugou was. The three crashed through the branches, landing on another person.

When i reached the ground, i was in the middle of a student vs villain battle. Villains of many i knew and students i have grown to like. There was man i remember, who wore a mask and could take people and trap them in marbles. I remember going on a mission with him once. He was too creepy for my taste.

There he was, showing off two marbles in his mouth, the students terrified. If i know one thing, it's that one of those are Bakugou.

Clouds of black encircled in the back of them. A portal started opening, signally it was time to go.

Suddenly a  beam of light hit the man, causing him to spew out the marbles. Todoroki quickly shot towards one, trying to grab it. Mirdoriya for the other, in hopes to save them.

I quickly launched my wings, reaching my hands out. Passing the the other students as i flew with all my strength. Everything was like slow motion. It was like see the memories of your past as if you were about to die.

But I was too late. The villain took him before i could. They succeeded.

They've finished the job.

My body had already lost balanced, falling into the portal. Another hand had reached to pull me in. Eyes met those of Bakugou, we both shared the same feeling.

Defeat.

There was no coming back from this. I was about to face it all again. I was leaving. Maybe it's for the best. They would be safer this way.

"Im not a hero." I whispered to myself, smiling as i was pulled back into the wicked place i had came from. Closing my eyes, i felt everything turn black, a familiar cold washing over me.

"Times up Arde, your missions over"
