For the next few weeks, Beomgyu hung around Yeonjun inside and outside of school. He got to meet his other friends and grew close with Taehyun while Soobin and Kai kept their distance from him. But Beomgyu didn't mind.

"You coming to hang out with us this afternoon"? Taehyun asked. The group sat behind the school and Beomgyu had gotten used to them smoking during school times. 

"Yeah of course. My parents don't get back yet so I'll be able to do whatever I want. They won't know", Beomgyu spoke. 

"Cool. Yeonjun will wait for you obviously. He's gotten really attached to you". Taehyun then yelped as Yeonjun slapped him on the arm. 

"Tae! Don't need to announce it"!

"I-I kinda noticed he's really attached to me. I'm not mad. I actually don't mind". Yeonjun turned to him and smiled and Beomgyu returned the smile. He felt happy around his group, even if they weren't the best in the school. They were caring and fun. 

"Well, you three have fun this afternoon. Kai and I are out", Soobin spoke. But then Kai looked at him and shook his head. 

"No, I'm in with hanging out with them. Beomgyu's fun and Yeonjun and Taehyun have done nothing to us. I'm sorry hyung but I'm done listening to you". 

"Kai do you hear yourself? What if you"- Soobin started but Kai stopped him.

"If I get hurt, I get hurt. That's apart of life. You may be able to keep me safe from most things but everyone gets hurts. I'm hanging out with Yeonjun, Taehyun and Beomgyu". Kai moved over to the three and Beomgyu could see how hurt Soobin looked 

"Soobin, just come and hang out this afternoon. It'll be fun. I promise", He said, only for Soobin to glare at him. 

"Fun? When are they fun? We're all fucking druggies and you think we'll be fun!? Having fun isn't something I want! Having fun ruined my life! Why do you think I care so much about Kai and keep him safe?! Cause fun can kill people"!! Soobin shouted, standing up. Yeonjun went to speak but stayed quiet when Beomgyu stood up. 

"I haven't had any fun since I met Yeonjun. I was locked up in my room for years! Now I'm free while my parents are gone and you think fun can kill people!? How fucked up are you"! No one spoke. Beomgyu had never raised his voice to anyone, let alone swear. So they were all speechless at the new side of him. 

"Gyu just stop and leave him be", Yeonjun managed to say, grabbing Beomgyu's arm. 

"Then maybe he should learn to fucking grow up for once and not be a coward. Then this wouldn't have happened", Beomgyu spat as he sat down and turned away from Soobin. 

"Ok, who are you and what did you do to the shy, sweet Beomgyu we all knew"? Taehyun asked, causing them all to laugh. Soobin turned and walked away and Beomgyu saw Kai was upset.

"Cheer up Kai. Soobin's just protective. I guess he just doesn't want to see anyone get hurt. I had no intention of snapping at him but he was keeping you away from having fun".

"I know. I just feel sorry for him that's all". Beomgyu smiled softly and Kai returned the smile as the group began talking again.
