Ch. 15 Subway Encounter

โ€ข--()--โ€ข

= LIVING ALONE ON THE OUTSKIRTS OF AMERICA. A now twenty two year old Madison Faye Hammond, only going as just Madison Faye or just Faye. Ever since the Jurassic park incident, Madison Faye took on the job with Nick Fury and he was nice enough to buy her her own large cast of land to practice her powers.

Over the past four years, Madison has kept in contact with both Ian Malcolm and Alan Grant. Occasionally having annual night face calls which consisted of Alan blooming even more interest into the things he finds and Ian blabbering on about Chaos while Madison continues to add to her scrapbook.

She was currently humming along to an old tune named Footloose as she makes her way to the subway station. The girl wanted to stay at home but instead have been called to visit John Hammond. The man who has raised her until she was eighteen and moved away.

Over her ears were her headphones and she shoved her hands into her dull purple jacket pockets. Back was hunched over, hiding a few bandages tightened around her stomach.

'Note to not trust Nat with my injuries.' Madison grumbles in her head, swerving around nearby civilians. Her hair was longer than during Jurassic Park, mostly being pulled into some hair up some hair down and was it's typical vibrant purple and pink colour. She has always loved the way it came off. Directing people's eyes from her abnormal white eyes.

These days, she wears contacts if she couldn't wear a pair of glasses designed specifically by one of her companions, Tony Stark.

She wore a pair of long pant Dungarees, baggy enough to slip over her combat boots she seems to always find her wearing. Her bangs hovers once again over her white eyes.

"Tonight I gotta cut loose, footloose" She whispers as she hears the words, watching as a train cart zooms to a stop and she is able to get on. Wandering through the cartridges with the bottom of her boots clicking along the floor.

It was a rather busy train but Madison sticks to her music. Nodding her head around as she whispers lyrics.

"Lose your bluesEverybody cut footloose"

Her feet stumbles to a stop as she finds a spot she slips into and grabs the top bar, looming over a kid who was too focused into his phone to notice her presence.

However, a man opposite her pushes himself away from where he was busy pestering an old woman. The man now began clicking his fingers while obnoxiously chewing some gum in his mouth loudly.

Madison, having heard his rather annoying clicks pulls back to find a tall around 6'4 dark haired male step onto the train at the next stop after hers. Taking a seat on a set of newly free opened ones. She knew who that was.

An energetic grin forms on her face as she pushes herself to stand fully and trek over, watching through her hair as the male from before trudges over. Making the familiar male look up from for a split second, just as Madison's appearance is blocked by the approaching males.

"Shit." She could practically hear him mutter as the stranger sits onto a seat, trying to look closer to the much taller man.

"You're him, aren't you?" The stranger asks him with a click of his tongue, making the awkward male look to him.

"Excuse me?" He mutters loudly, looking everywhere but the curious man.

"The guy. The scientist." The stranger looms closer. Teasing the scientist man even more. "saw you on TV." He says.

"I believed you." The man whispers.

"Yep, that's enough." Madison slots herself between her recognised friend and the stranger when the man moved up a seat, away from the curious man.

"Didn't you see we were having a conversation?" The stranger asks while Madison shuffles through her trusty rucksack.

"Food?" Madison holds out a small Cadbury bar to her friend who was watching her with a hint of surprise.

"I thought you were in England." Her friend responds, cautiously taking the bar and slipping it out from her fingertips.

"I was called and so I must appear." Madison replies and pulls her headphones down from her ears to allow them hang from around her neck. "How's Sarah and Kelly?" Maddy inquires.

"They are fine, Sarah and I've grown a bit distant since the incident four years ago but we still care for one another." Ian answers, opening the piece of chocolate and snapping it before popping a smaller piece into his mouth. "What about you? How have you been?"

"I've been fine, own large lands. You know, the Faye Manor?" She watches him nod and then she points to herself. "That's me, connected to the sea which I love."

"Oh I live about an hour from there." Ian realises, watching the girl shrug with the all too familiar smile. A chuckle slipping through her dry lips.

"Could've had sleep overs! Never had them before." She dramatically gasps, throwing her hands high into the air followed by her usual laughter.

"You never had sleepovers before?" Ian inquires.

"Well I was, homeschooled because of my power." Madison rolls her eyes, playfully punching his forearm.

"And because I would terrorise those I hate during the night." She adds. Settling back into her seat while her male companion chuckles.

"Of course, anyway. You also been called to Hammond?" Ian asks her, just as he looks up to find two women watching the two and so. The man awkwardly shrinks into his seat despite the confused look he gains from the girl.

"Yep, and you? I wonder what it's about then." Madison hums. Twisting her body so that her feet were lazily propped up on top of her old friends lap and she rests her back against the wall beside the strange man.

"Seriously?" Ian blankly stares at the girl, gesturing to her feet. All the while continuing to eat his chocolate bar he was given.

"Yes seriously, this girl had to wake up at 5 AM to get here on time. Didn't want me moody now?" Madison rolls her eyes. She smiles at the man who chuckles softly.

"Surely, you'd want something more comfortable to rest your head then a wall." Ian tells her.

"I sleep wherever I can." Madison informs him with a hum, placing her bag under her head and closes her eyes. Opening them when the cart bumped and she heard the dry sarcastic sneers from the male.

"Go on then, you strange woman." Ian taps his fingers comfortably against the woman's leg where the pant sleeve was pulled up.

"I agree, I am a strange woman."
