THE BIRTH OF A GOD. That's what many of the scientists called the moment when they heard of a familiar cry. A child torn from her broken family and placed into the hands of John Hammond.
John was a loving father to the child raised alone and isolated in his home before he believed it was time for her to go hang out with a few of other humans.
Her father had been an individual Ingen tracked for many years upon the realisation for his gift to alter DNA of others with contact into the blood stream. John was trusted with the kid when her father was witnessed by death.
Madison at first showed no evidence for any special abilities inherited from her father and many were left to inspect that she had not inherited that gene and so therefore, she was nothing but a mere mortal.
That was until a day she turns five when her babysitter entered her nursery to find that there was no human toddler. Instead a small micro raptor was found gliding across the room, of course so this wouldn't get out to the government, John had to bribe the babysitter to stay quiet. He couldn't risk the government finding out about his little ticket to success.
"Uncle! Uncle! Look what I can do!" He could remember it like any other day, John was in his study when the young child with strange white eyes hood into the room. Giggling loudly until she proofed in grey smoke in front of him, that disappearing to reveal a junior sized velociraptor.
"Oh wow, amazing my dear!" John chuckles with his head tipping backwards before welcoming the girl into a hug once she turns back with a few tears in her baggy clothes.
"Isn't that cool! Do you think I could become a hero?" Young Madison asks her guardian, pulling her head back to smile with big white eyes.
"Ah yes, you can become anything like that." John responds and places the girl onto his desk while he continues to plan his masterpiece. The child with soft pale brown hair looks down and finds what he was doingz
"Is this what you've been working on since I was born Uncle?" Madison inquires with a tilt of her head.
"Mhm, I plan to allow the access of all humans seeing dinosaurs that you can transform into." John nods his head, his words making the girl even more curious.
"Can I help Uncle!? I can be the hero of this project." She laughs out loud, grabbing her crossed ankles and rolls onto her back with a boisterous set of giggles.
Ever since then, whenever they had visitors. John would show off Madison's set of skills to sell the project, many wanted to actually buy the girl off of him but he forbade it. Having loved the girl too much for his own greed to get past it, something the man himself was thankful for.
"Madison dear, can you transform into a stegosaurus like we practiced?"
That would be the type of things he'll ask of his adoptive daughter, and whenever they have family relatives around. She would be advised not to use her abilities.
As no one knew how far her training could actually go... they believed it was only a certain few strands and they thought her mother was a mortal.
"Madison dear, could you fetch me a napkin?" John asks his now fifteen year old daughter in front of the rest of the family, he sat at the head of the dinner table while Madison was beside a man named Peter Ludlow.
"Yea sure Uncle, anything else?" Madison stands from where she sat, abandoning her meal to do whatever her guardian needed.
"And the bowl of salad that should be on the side." John smiles warmly to the girl whose hair has been dyed purple with streaks of pink and eyes having small specks of blue fading through in them. Nodding, Madison leaves.
"Uncle, have you seriously allowed her to dye her hair to an unnatural colour. That's not something a lady her age should be doing?" Peter asks his uncle who rolls his eyes at his nephew's words.
"Madison has the right to choose what she wants to do so why not, she lives under my house." John points his fork demandingly at the male who rolls his eyes. "Anyway, Madison will be helping me with my Jurassic Park idea."
The family turns to him with looks of surprise. His daughter fires him a confused question. "What about school? Surely they won't allow that."
"Madison is homeschooled remember mum, she doesn't need to go school." His granddaughter, Alex 'Lex' Murphy tells her mother with a short smile.
"I hope you don't mind, Madison will be an essential part to play."
Bringing in the items, Madison moves to stare down at her uncle, a curious look on her face as she points a finger to the front door.
"Is it okay if I go shops? We've ran out of napkins and I would like to have a ice-lolly." Madison asks the old man who smiles and nods.
"Of course! Just be careful my child." John reaches up and ruffles her dyed hair before she leaves the table, first grabbing her rucksack she slings over her head. Hearing the voices of the family saying their farewells.
Madison wanted to be free, she believed she was free until the girl took realisation to heart. While kids her age played with one another, she was thrown into the world of success and money. Even though she liked the idea of a Jurassic Park, she hated the feeling of not being a child even though she should be.
Her ability although John brags about it had never helped the girl to gain friends, instead they would just throw rubbish at the girl. Asking why she got to live the rich and fancy life while they didn't.
Entering the shop, Madison makes her way to the utensils aisle and picked up two rolls of napkins then scoured the shelves for anything she'd like.
Finally reaching the frozen section, Madison opens the door to the freezer and pulls out a Belgian chocolate ice cream tub and a cookie dough. She didn't even see the tall male opening the door beside her.
Wandering to the counter, she pays for the stuff and places them into a grocery bag she gains. Walking away and out of the place and just as she takes a step outside. An empty bottle of water hits her head and lands on the ground.
"Freak!" The teens on the other side of the street yells, boisterous laughters falling out their mouths as Madison crouches down and picks the littered object.
A couple more things were thrown at the girl until a can hurdling to her head was stopped when a hand catches it.
"You okay kid?" Her eyes were brought up to find a man with jet black hair, cool looking sunglasses and an appearance that looked as if he had just turned twenty.
"Yea I'm fine, I can take that as well." Madison takes the can out of his hand and placed both the bottle and the can into the nearest recycling bin. Popping her lips once she does so.
"Why were they throwing these at you?" He asks the fifteen year old girl who hums loudly.
"I'm a mutant, that's why." She answers, looking back at the strangely tall male who was in her eyes a giant.
"My names Ian Malcolm nice to meet you." The male flashes the girl a wide smile and holds his hand out to which the girl reluctantly takes.
"Madison Hammond..."
