Normal POV

—Good morning! —Demi waved at her sleepy students while they were taking their seats. — I said good morning, guys!

—Good morning, Miss. Lovato —children replied, clearly not really excited to be back at school.

—Hey! Aren't you happy we are all together for another school year? —Demi tried to cheer her students up.

—Not really —Jake, the naughtier child said.

—I didn't expect a different reply from you, Jake —Demi joked.

—We are very happy because you are going to be our teacher again Miss. Demi —the best friends Allyson and Evelyn said, hugging Demi before they sat.

—I'm so so happy to be with you guys again! —Demi said excited, she really loved those children— and do you know this year we'll be going on a camp together for a week with Mrs. Valderrama's class as well?

—Mr. Valderrama is the new teacher of our classmates from the classroom next door? —Allyson asked.

—That's it!

—Oh fuck! That's so cool! —Evans, the child sat next to Jake shouted.

—Jake! That language! —Demi warned.

—Miss Demi! It wasn't me! It was Evans!

—Sorry, Jake. —she apologized—. Evans! That was for you!

—Sorry, Miss Demi. I was too excited! —he chuckled.

—Well, we chatted enough for today... what about if we start the day practicing some additions and subtractions? —Demi said while taking her math book— Guys, guys, stop protesting! You are not going to get rid of math class —she said laughing.

Meanwhile, at B class...

—Well guys, good morning. As I told you yesterday, my name is Wilmer Valderrama, and I'm going to be your teacher this year. —Wilmer introduced himself.

—What happened to Miss. Smith our last year's teacher? —Cooper, an arrogant little boy asked.

—I don't know... I don't really know her, but she's not at the school this year, so she probably had to leave for another school —Wilmer replied—. But I bet we are going to have so much fun together this year, you'll see!

—You seem nice —a child named Violet said smiling.

—Actually, he seems to be pretty cool, Cooper! You are always complaining over everything! —another boy yelled and rolled his eyes, while Cooper raised his middle finger to him.

—Cooper, please take down your finger! —Wilmer said— what's your name boy? —he pointed at the one Cooper was teasing.

—My name is Aaron.

—Cool! I want to know you guys! What about if you start introducing yourselves to me? You can say things like, your name, your hobby or your favorite color... Come on Aaron, you start! Stand up!

The first day went by fast for Demi who loved her job. At 3:30pm she left the school and drove to her parents' house.

—Mom, dad, Mad! I'm home! —she said, opening the entrance door.

—Hi baby! We're in the hall! —Dianna Demi's mom replied.

—Hello! —Demi said, hugging her parents and her little sister Madison.

—How are you, love? How are you handling Cameron's? Are you better? —Dianna asked her daughter while hugging her.

Demi got quite angry because she just wanted to forget him, but people wouldn't stop asking about him.

—I'm okay mom —she replied as soon as she heard the question—. It's forgotten, I don't want to hear about him anymore, please.

—You know we'll always support you any decision you take —Dianna told her— we love you so much baby girl! —she kissed Demi's forehead.

Demi couldn't help but smile.

—I do too mom.

—How was school, Demi? —Eddie Demi's dad asked.

—It was okay! I had fun with my babies!

—And how is your new mate? —Madison asked, curious.

—He is a boy, and I don't really know him yet. He seems to be... a good person —she replied.

—Madison! Stop gossiping and do your homework! —Dianna yelled at Madison.

—But I don't get this shit!! —Madison yelled back.

—May I help you baby girl? —Demi said, bending down to her sister— what is it about?

—Fucking math!

—Madison, stop cursing! —Eddie shouted.

Demi laughed about her dad getting angry because of Madison's swearing, because one of her goals when she was young was to teach Madison some mean words, and that was the proof she succeeded.

—Demi, please, help your sister while I put you the chicken soup and the croquettes into the Tupperware —Dianna begged to her middle daughter.

Demi's POV

I helped Madison with her homework and at 9pm I left back to my home. I was driving when I remembered I didn't go to the supermarket that day and that I didn't have anything to drink with my dinner, so I stopped at the bar near home.

—Hi, can I have two cans of coke please? —I said to the waiter.

—Of course!

As I waited, I looked around the bar and my gaze stopped at a dark skinned and strong male.

—I see you are everywhere! —I said to Wilmer who was drinking a beer next to me.

—Hi, same goes to you! —he replied.

—Sorry, but I lived here before you did —I replied.

—I know, do you want to take something? —he offered.

—Nope, I'm going home to have dinner —I told him— you don't have dinner or?

—No, I never have dinner. You know, aliens are different than humans —Wilmer teased me.

—Oh, I get it! But you should start having dinner, it's important for your health —I said, giving him a pat on his back.

—I'll do, but I'm alone at home, so who cares the hour I have dinner? No one waits for me, you know —he giggled.

I thought about his situation and it really saddened me because I had recently experienced a breakup, but I still had my family some minutes away from my home, and he didn't. He was very alone miles away from his family.

—Hey, I have just come back from my parents' and my mom gave me chicken soup and croquettes enough for two... Do you want to come home to have dinner? —I asked him without much thinking.

—Oh! No, seriously, don't worry. I'm okay, I don't want to bother you —he replied nervously.

—You don't bother me. Do I have to remember you I'm home alone too? —I rolled my eyes while smiling— I owe you one... —I whispered thinking about what happened with Cameron that morning.

—You don't owe me anything —he winked at me.

—Yes, I do. Cameron wouldn't have left if you didn't get in the classroom and helped me... thank you.

—You don't need to thank... but... To hell with it! I'm going to have dinner with you! I'm quite tired of feeling alone! —he shouted— Sorry! Could you change the cokes for a bottle of wine, please? —Wilmer said to the waiter who was putting the cokes I asked into a plastic bag.

—Mr. Valderrama, do you remember I'm the one inviting you? —I told him.

—I do, but I'm the one carrying the drink! —he replied, paying the wine.
