Friday night came and instead of babysitting Morgan like she normally did, Athena was sitting in an Italian restaurant opposite Lucy having a dinner date. "This is nice." Lucy said. Athena nodded. "Yea, it is. So where do you see yourself in the next few years?"  Lucy blinked twice. "Uh, like do you mean if I want kids?" Athena nodded. "Oh..uh..I like kids. Maybe kids one day." Athena nodded slowly. "Well, just so you know I want the whole deal. Marriage, kids the whole thing." "And you want them at the compound?" Lucy asked. "Yes." Athena replied. Lucy nodded taking it all in. "So marriage, then kids." Athena nodded. "Yup."

Conversation flowed from future plans, to future missions and what they both wanted from being Avengers. When the check came Athena automatically took the bill and paid without bothering to ask if Lucy wanted to split it. "You know I can pay." Lucy said. "Not needed. You're my girlfriend, I pay for dates, and everything else we do as a couple." Athena stated leaving no room for discussion. "Noted." Lucy replied with a smile as she took Athena's hand and left the restaurant heading to Athena's jeep. Athena held the door open and helped Lucy into the passenger seat before getting in the drivers seat.

The drive back to the compound was quiet until Lucy spoke up. "I want all that we talked about...in the restaurant with you." Athena flicked her eyes to Lucy. "You what?" Lucy looked back at Athena. "I want all we talked about with you Athena." Athena smiled softly. "You sure?" Lucy nodded earnestly. "Yes. I do." Athena nodded. Now she knew what she had to do. She had to meet Lucy's parents and get permission to ask for their daughter's hand in marriage. Then get a ring, and talk to her mom and her Aunt.
