Two weeks after girls day and the putting together of the nursery F.R.I.D.A.Y made the announcement through out the compound that Pepper had gone into labor and that Tony was only mildly panicked. Now everyone sat in the hospital waiting on word when the new Stark would make her arrival. Athena and Carol came back up the hallway holding trays of coffee. "Oh thank god." Clint muttered grabbing a coffee. Athena handed out coffees and gave the last on to her mom. "Here mama." "Thanks sweetheart." Natasha replied with a smile.

A few hours later Tony reappeared with a big smile on his face. "Morgan is here. Pepper and her are doing great, but Pepper would like to see Athena in the room for a moment before everyone else has a turn." Athena stood up and followed Tony back down the hallway. "You gonna tell me what this is about Tony?" Athena asked. "Not until we're in the delivery room Romanoff 2.0." Tony replied as he held the door open for Athena.

Lying in the bed was Pepper holding a pink bundle in her arms. "Hey Athena, I'm glad you came." Pepper said without looking up. "Yea well Tony said I was needed." Athena replied eyes locked onto the baby girl. Pepper slowly looked up locking onto Athena. "We wanted you to come here alone so we could ask you to be Morgan's godmother." Pepper said matter of factly. It took a moment for Athena to register what Pepper said. "You...want me to be her god mother?"

"Yes." Tony and Pepper replied together. That was it. The words sank into her brain. She was now someone's godmother. A teacher of sorts, a protector in other ways. After a moment Athena nodded. "Ok. I'll do it." Smiles spread over Tony and Pepper's faces. "Come here then hold your goddaughter Morgan." Pepper said. Slowly Athena walked to the bed and opened her arms to hold the baby just minutes old. The moment the baby was in her arms something inside Athena snapped and then Athena made a silent vow to always protect Morgan no matter what.
