After a couple movies everyone parted ways Athena bid good night to everyone and gave her mom a hug before she headed downstairs to her room. "She's a good kid Nat." Clint said. "I know. She was always a well behaved girl, even when she was growing up. I never had much trouble with her." Natasha said. "Well it shows." Pepper added. "Thank you Pepper." Natasha replied before she headed downstairs to her room. Athena was lying in her bed reading when Natasha walked into her room. "Mom? What brings you to my room?" Athena asked. "Just checking in on you sweetheart." Natasha said. "Oh I'm ok mom." Athena replied putting her book away. "Ok well good night kid." Natasha said smiling as she left shutting the door behind her.

A few minutes after Natasha left Carol came in. "Carol? What are you doing here?" Athena asked softly. "Can I sleep in here?" Carol asked. "Just sleep?" Athena asked with a smirk. "Yes Athena just sleep...I just cant sleep." Carol said as she got into bed with Athena. "Comfortable?" Athena asked. "Yes I am. Your bed is really comfortable." Carol said as she snuggled up to Athena. Slowly Athena wrapped her arm around Carol's waist pulling her into her arms. "You're really comfortable." Carol whispered. "Am I?" Athena asked softly. "Yes you are." Carol replied. "Good to know...good night Carol." Athena whispered. "Good night Athena." Carol replied.

In the morning Athena woke up to Carol tucked up in her arms, the blondes head on her chest. Athena took her hand and gently ran her fingers through Carol's hair as they lay there.  "Mhumhph..." Carol muttered in her sleep as she curled up into Athena's arms. A smile graced Athena's lips as they continued lying together. She really liked Carol and wanted things to work, however she was nervous about telling her about her being intersex.
