02:20, 8 May 2025The next evening Natasha was helping Athena pack her backpack for the mission. "Remember to keep you coms on at all times, but if you loose one, use this." Natasha said handing her daughter a satellite phone. "It'll connect you to Pepper and she can find where you are if anything goes sideways." Natasha explained. Athena nodded as she listened to her mom. "Ok, got it mom." Athena replied. "Good. Make sure you pack everything you'll need for the dogs too. Including their tactical gear." Natasha added. Athena nodded as she put the dog's gear in a separate pack. By the time they were done it was nearing ten at night. "Get some sleep. We'll be leaving right after breakfast tomorrow morning." Natasha stated. "Ok, good night mom." Athena said. "Goodnight kiddo. I love you." Natasha added. "Love you too mom." Athena said with a smile as she shut her bedroom door.
Early the next morning Natasha and Athena ate breakfast before gathering their gear and Maverick and Sage and headed to the quinjet on the roof. "Ready?" Natasha asked. "Yea. Come on Maverick, Sage. Load up." Athena said as they walked up the ramp together. Athena strapped Maverick and Sage into their carries before sitting next to her mom in the copilot seat. Natasha started up the quinjet and it slowly took off into the sky. "Dogs all set?" Natasha asked. "Yea, they're asleep." Athena replied. "Good, they'll need their rest." Natasha said as she set the corse to Madrid Spain. "So you all take this on every mission?" Athena asked as she looked around the quinjet. "Yea, Tony built it after the attack on New York City." Natasha explained. Athena leaned back in the seat and relaxed as the quinjet was on autopilot. "Nervous?" Natasha asked. "A little, but I'm not gonna let it get to me." Athena replied. "It's common to be nervous when you're going undercover for the first time. Just keep your eyes open and listen to everything. If something sounds like it will be important then it probably is, record everything just incase." Natasha explained giving her daughter some advice from her own experience. Athena nodded as she took in the information her mom was sharing with her.
