PART 58

Returning to the mansion, Sky found the three F4 members engrossed in a video game. "Where are Nani and Dad?" he asked, his voice betraying his anxiety. The three exchanged worried glances. "Should we tell him?" Win asked the others, his voice low. Bright nodded grimly. "He'll be even more miserable if we don't." Dew agreed silently. Sky pressed, "Tell me. What happened?" Win explained, his voice heavy with regret, "Prim came back, and your dad… he told Nani to go on a date with her.  In exchange for your freedom." Sky shook his head violently, disbelief etched on his face. "No way. Why would he do that?  Damn it, where are they now?!" Sky's desperation was palpable. Dew replied, his voice tight, "They're at the airport.  With Prim.  They're leaving for the States." He added urgently, "Hurry, you might miss them." Sky didn't hesitate. He rushed out to his car and sped towards the airport. Once Sky was gone, Win turned to Dew. "Why did you tell him that? I thought you didn't trust him." Dew shrugged, a hint of something unreadable in his eyes. "I had a feeling he'd figure it out. And maybe... he's the only one who can fix this."
