PART 57

02:00, 8 February 2025

Tears streamed down Sky's face as he turned to leave. Nani followed him, calling out softly, "Sky..." His father clenched his fists, his anger barely contained.  As Sky reached his car, Nani grabbed his arm, his voice laced with concern. "Where are you going?" Sky's voice was thick with emotion. "Anywhere. I need some time alone, to calm down." Nani nodded, understanding dawning in his eyes.  He released Sky's arm, letting him go.  Sky got into his car and drove away. Nani knew Sky was hurting, and he wanted to help.  He heard his Sky's father voice behind him, "You, can we talk?" Nani remained silent, his mind racing. Sky drove to the beach, his usual refuge when sadness overwhelmed him. The beach was his sanctuary, a place where he felt safe, a place where he could momentarily forget his troubles. The rhythmic crashing of the waves against the shore soothed his frayed nerves, offering a temporary respite from the turmoil in his heart.
