PART 26

Rain lashed down, thunder booming overhead. Sky drove, Nani asleep beside him, his breathing even and peaceful. The downpour intensified, forcing Sky to pull over and park. He tried contacting Win, but there was no signal. Nani's phone was nearly dead; Sky sighed and put it away. A cough startled him. Nani was coughing. Immediately, Sky removed his coat and draped it over Nani. His expression was one of deep worry and concern. He checked Nani's temperature; it was dangerously high. "Nani, you have a fever," Sky said softly, but Nani's eyes remained closed. "Nani?" Sky called, gently shaking him. "Hmmm..." Nani groaned, slowly turning towards Sky and hugging his arm.  "Khun Sekay... It's... it's very hot—" His voice was soft, almost pleading. Khun Sekay? Sky's mind reeled. He was surprised, speechless.  He didn't know what to say.
