"Sorry," Sky mumbled.

Nani chuckled, his hand resting briefly on Sky's shoulder.  "Why apologize? It's not your fault that I don't have a family. But you do, right?"

Sky hesitated for a moment, then explained, "My mom's a renowned architect in New York, always jetting off to different conferences and overseeing massive projects. She's incredibly driven and successful, but… busy.  My dad's a financial consultant in London, working closely with Bright's father on some major international deals.  They both work incredibly hard, and honestly, their careers often feel like a third parent in our family.  I don't have any siblings, so sometimes the house feels a bit… empty, even though it's huge." He chuckled ruefully. "Lots of space, not much company."

"I see," Nani said, his expression softening with understanding. "It sounds like we're both in similar situations, even though our lives are very different."

Sky smiled, a genuine smile this time. He felt a connection with Nani, a shared understanding that transcended their different backgrounds. He sensed a quiet strength and kindness in him, a subtle empathy that resonated deeply.
