Genevieve's POV

"Aro will want us incapacitated before he attacks. Jane and Alec will try and take me out first, because I anticipate their moves" Edward says

"Too bad we don't all have your shield" Eleazar adds

"True" I said

"Either way, we don't have much experience with our gifts. Doesn't help me fight, though" Bella says

"No, but you could help the rest of us, if you project it" Tanya tells her

"What do you mean?" I asked

"I mean, shield someone other than herself" Tanya says

"Is that possible?" I asked

"Gifts can be developed, over time" Carlisle tells me

"At first, mine was just in palms. Now, I can radiate them throughout my body" Kate tells us

"How do you do it?" Bella asks

Bella forcefully takes Kate's hand in hers. Due to her newborn strength, it would hurt a normal vampire.

"Tell me" Bella tells her

"Ow" Kate says plainly

We all stood in the front yard of the house. We were trying to help Bella with her powers. I thought Bella's power was cool. I mean, she can prevent anyone from getting hurt. Kate was helping her.

"You need to visualize it. See how it moves. What color it is. Now, picture it expanding. Will it go beyond you" Kate tells Bella

Bella stood there trying to learn how to use her shield. I saw it for a moment before it fell. I mean, she's learning.

"I think she needs someone to motivate her" Kate says

Edward walked forward. Bella looked at him and shook her head.

"No." Bella says

"It's alright, I can take it" Edward tells her

"He says that now" Garrett says

"Focus, Bella, or he'll be hurting" Emmett tells her

Edward reached his hand out to touch Kate's hand. Bella shook her head, not ready.

"Edward, I'm not ready to do this yet" Bella tells him

"Either him or me" I said

Everyone looked at me like I was crazy. What? I would do anything to help her master her powers.

"No! I'm not hurting the babies" Bella tells me

Edward touched Kate's hand, making him fall to the ground in pain. I knelt down to him, and place a hand on his shoulder.

"I'm sorry. I said I wasn't ready" Bella says

"Dude, you're not motivating her" Emmett tells Edward

"You want to try?" Edward asks him

Emmett stepped back, holding his hands up in defense. I giggled at this. Kate charged up again and brought her hand out again. Edward fought the previous pain from before and went to touch her hand again. Bella tried to get her shield to work, but nothing. Edward fell to the ground in pain.

"Kate!" Bella yells out

"You seem to lack incentive. Shall I go see if Renesmee's awake?" Kate asks

"Are you crazy?" Bella asks, as I shot a glare at her

"All right. This one's on full power" Kate says

I stepped over and push Edward back. Everyone watched me as I did this.

"I'll take this one" I told them

"Gennie!" Carlisle calls out to me

"Viv, no! I don't want to hurt you or the babies" Bella tells me

"Then don't let me get hurt" I demanded

I moved my finger to Kate's. I saw Bella's shield envelop me, and shield me from the pain. I smiled at Bella, proud that she managed to do it.

"It's painful, but I can manage" I said

"Mom, you're crazy" Emmett tells me

"Anything to help Bella with her powers" I told them all

"Carlisle, your woman's badass" Alistair says to him

"In more ways, than one" Carlisle says looking at me

Me and Carlisle walk back inside. I went to walk over to Mee, when Carlisle's arm wrapped around my waist and pulled me back. Our foreheads were together as he kissed me. He pulled away and looked at me.

"Don't ever do that again, especially when you're pregnant" Carlisle tells me

"Can't make that promise" I told him

"Please?" Carlisle asks pouting

"Fine. I want to see Mee" I told him

He let me go as Mee walked over to me. I smiled at her and picked her up. I hugged her, as she hugged me. She placed her head on my shoulder as I walked further into the room. Tanya walked over to me.

"I see a bump growing" Tanya says looking at my stomach

"They're growing very slow. I thought I would've been like how big Bella was after her wedding" I told her

"It's your mermaid side, Gen" Daniel says walking over

"What do you mean?" I asked putting Mee down

"Your mermaid side is practically human, so they will probably be half mermaid and they're growing at a fast, yet, slow pace" Daniel tells me

"I guess that makes sense" I said

"You were a mermaid?" Benjamin asks

"Yes, before I was a vampire" I told him

"She had just transformed into a mermaid, after the Cullen's left, and then she got turned into a vampire after the battle with the newborns" Bella tells them walking in

"I've never seen a mermaid in person before. I hear that they are extremely powerful" Eleazar says

"And forgetful" I muttered

"Her mother is a mermaid and she gave her away to my father" Bella explains to them

"Sorry, kid" Garrett tells me

"Don't worry about it. I grew up with a family that took care of me, instead of putting me up for adoption" I said

"Any ideas on what the genders are?" Tanya asks changing the subject

"We don't know yet, but we wanted to wait til when they're born to find out" Carlisle tells her

"Seeing as their are two, we would all have to make guesses" Kate says

Everyone began making guesses. I felt happy that everyone was getting along. I smiled at everyone then smiled at Carlisle. We have an amazing family.
