Chapter 6

19:34, 9 May 2020

A week had passed since the less than successful dinner, and many things had happened in that time. But even though Jotaro so desperately needed to set things right with Molly, he couldn't bring himself to do it. What would he even say? There just wasn't any way to make it all up to her, no matter how much Jotaro tried to think of something.

So, to clear his head of anything Molly related, he decided to go hunting. Or more like he felt he needed to, now that it was confirmed that Akira Otoishi had used the bow and arrow to shoot a rat, most likely giving it a Stand. Jotaro had asked Kakyoin to come along, but the redhead politely declined, since he had a ton of work he needed to get done, much to Jotaro's dismay.

So he turned to Josuke, who was eager to come along.

Molly had been burying herself in work to try and rid herself of thoughts about Jotaro, but she knew she couldn't keep it up. After all, the baby had been his, she knew he deserved to at least know how it all went down, no matter how much it hurt her. She sighed heavily and looked at the pile of papers she still needed to grade. I wonder how much work Kakyoin's gotten done she thought while tapping her pen on the desk in thought. She decided that it was time for a break.

She jolted up from the chair, stretching her arms a little before heading to the kitchen and grabbing the jar of cookies she had baked earlier. She beelined to Kakyoin's house, this time she had remembered to bring the key.

"Ka-ky-oin~" she called out upon entering through the door, slipping her shoes of in the process.

"In here" the redhead answered, his voice came from the kitchen. She peeked her head through the doorframe, seeing the cherry loving man sitting hunched over at the kitchen table, surrounded by books and piles upon piles of paper. He's in way over his head she thought and shot Kakyoin a gentle smile, which he returned with a tired one.

"Time for a break?" Molly cooed, shaking the jar of cookies with one hand. Kakyoin knew he didn't have time for a break, but couldn't find himself to say no.

"Just a little one" he said and was about to get up, but Molly told him to sit back down and handed him the cookies. She strode over to the kitchen counter, preparing some tea for the two of them. She tapped her fingers on the counter nervously, building up the courage to ask Kakyoin if he had heard anything from a certain marine biologist.

"So" she started, "have you heard anything from Jotaro?" she gripped the kettle handle anxiously.

"Huh? Oh, actually yes. He requested my help for today, but my obvious answer was no" he chuckled tiredly and pointed towards all the paper piles. Molly's ears perked at this.

"Help? Kujo Jotaro asked for help?" she chuckled and continued "Whatever could he need help with?" Kakyoin shrugged his shoulders

"Something about hunting a rat"

"A rat?"

"Mm. A rat with a stand"

"What? Kakyoin, you let him go by himself?" she gasped in horror, sure, he was capable, but if he had asked for help then he probably needed it.

"I think he asked Josuke to go with him, but I'm not sure" he said, even Kakyoin seemed a little worried now.

"Where?" she demanded for an answer, to which luckily Kakyoin knew the answer.

That stupid, stubborn, handsome Jotaro she muttered under her breath while hurrying over to the area Kakyoin had pointed out on a map. When it got secluded enough, she spread her wings and leapt into the air, covering more ground. After scouting for a while she noticed someone walking up a hill, someone clad in white. That has to be Jotaro she thought, and after looking a little bit harder, she noticed Josuke hiding behind a rock.

Why is Josuke hiding? She didn't have to wonder long, when the rat, Bug-Eaten, shot something at Jotaro with its stand. Jotaro fell upon impact, and Molly had to squint to see his flesh turn into jelly like mush. Oh no, not good. The rat, I need to get rid of it she thought feverishly, she needed to shoot it with something. So, she ripped a button of her shirt, and aimed.

Josuke was starting to slightly panic, Jotaro had been hit too many times already, and he still didn't have a clear shot on the rat. Suddenly the rat was hit with something, seemingly impaling it, the stand disappearing upon impact. Josuke blinked, had Jotaro shot it? No, not possible when almost half of his body had turned to mush. His gaze shifted over to something in the sky, something that was coming closer fast. When he realised what it was, he shouted in mixed glee and bewilderment

"Amane-sensei!?" and Jotaro turned his gaze up at Josuke's outburst. Sure enough, he saw her descend gracefully, her gaze fixed on him. She strode over to him with quick, determined steps.

"Kujo Jotaro, I cannot believe you!" she exclaimed, she sounded upset? Yikes, that was a first. Josuke could only watch the scene unravel in front of him.

Jotaro twitched at her tone, and when her hands cupped his cheeks in a gentle but determined manner, he had no clue what to make of it. Her eyes were watering, and she was shaking slightly.

"You're unbelievable! Just look at you, you could easily be dead!" she was sniffling now and her tears ran freely, her voice had turned soft "You are not invincible JoJo, and you can't... You can't leave me again" she whispered the last part, and much to everyone's surprise, she pressed her lips onto Jotaro's. His body quickly turned back to normal, and when Molly didn't pull away even though the healing was done, Jotaro decided to return the kiss.

Josuke gasped, partly because holy hell, they had similar stand abilities, and partly because Jotaro was actually capable of human feelings? And now it was Josuke's turn to wonder how badly hurt he'd need to be for a kiss.

When Molly pulled away (way too son for Jotaro's liking) he let out a content sigh.

"I'm... I'm not gonna leave you" he mumbled while looking down, the faintest hue of red tinting his cheeks.

"If you'll have me" he added while getting up to stand. Molly giggled and wiped her cheeks free from tears, clasping her hand in his.

"I'll always have you, I never stopped in the first place" she said softly and smiled. Jotaro's heart swelled with those words, and he bent down to kiss her again, but Josuke interrupted him

"Uh, guys, I'm still here you know"
