Part 19

To Marinette's luck, it only took her about 30 minutes until she found an outfit to wear.

She decided on a jacarta coloured strapless lace up front body with a white skirt that would end right underneath her butt. Since the body was laced up at front from the top to her abdomen, her cleavage was pretty much visible.

Anyway, since this wasn't exactly screaming 'Halloween', Marinette had to fix it up a little. She poked tiny holes into the skirt and top, ripping the fabric apart until it looked good enough.

Yet, before Marinette proceeded to cover herself in fake blood, she quickly threw on some makeup. Literally just throwing it on.

She made sure her mascara was messy, as so was her eyeliner and eyeshadow. She gave herself some fake bruising and scaring on her face, neck and shoulders. The hickeys on her neck and collarbones finally came in handy for once.

Once she had finished her messy, zombie like makeup, she covered the clothes in some blood.

As soon as she was done with her outfit, Marinette quickly messed up her perfectly combed hair. She teased it so it would become richer in volume and look messier. Then, of course, she also put some fake blood into her hair, only enough to make it seem like blood splatter.

Her look was finished, yet she felt like her hair seemed way too bold, way too effortless.

To her luck, Adrien had just the same rough idea of an outfit as she did, which would end up to them wearing a couples-costume.

He threw on an old, yet still hella expensive, grey tuxedo. He ripped it apart to make it look like he was in a fight, and of course added some fake blood to his look.

Marinette was responsible for some fake scars and bruises in his face to make his look seem more authentic.

He even brought himself to mess up his hair that would normally be perfect looking.

However, since he also felt as if something was missing, he actually made use of his braincells and came up with the great idea to try on some crowns.

Since Adrien once had a photoshoot for men crowns that his father set him up with, he happened to own one. Well, he didn't technically owned it since he actually had to give it back still, but he figured he could just wear it anyway.

And well, Marinette owned her very own collection of tiaras cause, why not? Tiaras look great on everyone.

In conclusion, Marinette and Adrien were not going as Zombie prince and princess. It was a boring costume if you truly thought about it, but still better than nothing. And besides, it probably was still the most expensive one.

Though, to be honest, the best costumes were probably the ones claiming they didn't need one cause their lives were horrible enough. Like, who couldn't relate to that?

"I feel like Alya has something else planned." Adrien took Marinette's hand in his, intertwining them while looking into Marinette's eyes in fear.

Something in his guts just felt odd, and the only thing that was fearing him this night was Alya's party. She never threw parties, in fact, Alya was always the one asking if Marinette could throw once since Marinette knew more people.

And besides, if Marinette threw a party, other more known people would have been invited, which would give Alya an opportunity to eventually become someone bigger herself.

Alya always wanted to be big in her business, but she never really managed that. With Marinette as her best friend, she sure got some more attention, but Alya didn't want to be the person to use her best friend's fame for her own benefit.

That didn't mean Alya would not just right into the opportunity to get there, though.

"Honestly, me, too," Marinette admitted.

Despite their odd feeling, Marinette and Adrien still proceeded to go over to Alya's.

Of course they walked over to her's since it wasn't too far. They felt weird walking around dressed like this, but it was Halloween, so everyone walked around dressed up in some ways.

As soon as they arrived at Alya's, the strange feeling in Adrien's guts intensified. He didn't fear something horrible to happen, but definitely different from what Alya had claimed beforehand.

Alya immediately opened up as Marinette rang the doorbell, allowing them inside. But of course they wouldn't stay for too long.

Although Adrien had the talent to be wrong at all times, he was actually right for once. Alya did plan something else. But more about that later.

"Alya, what the actual fuck!" Marinette exclaimed, analysing Alya's costume.

Alya wore a replica of the Ladybug suit, but since that wouldn't say 'Halloween' all too well, Alya ripped it up in some places and added fake blood.

Marinette was sure a lot of people dressed up as Ladybug, just like they did the previous years, but it's never been a horror version of her.

"You can't wear that!" Marinette yelled, "imagine a child seeing you like this, they will be horrified of Ladybug later on!"

Marinette was right. If it came to younger kids, they didn't even think Ladybug and Chat Noir were anything but those personas.

Alya didn't look anything alike the actual Ladybug, but it could still traumatise some of the kids if they saw a messed up Ladybug, or Chat Noir for that matter.

"You two get to couple it all up, but Nino and I can't?" Alya asked. Strangely Alya seemed to be a little tipsy already.

They haven't seen Nino around yet, but after Alya's statement they were sure Nino was wearing a horror version of Chat Noir.

"Well, do you see us walking around in a Ladybug and Chat Noir costume like, well, this," Adrien pointed his finger up and down Alya's figure.

"Sorry, not everyone gets to be a superhero like the both of you," Alya hissed.

"Alya, what is wrong with you?" Marinette furrowed her eyebrows at her best friend's sudden outburst of jealousy.

"Oh, don't pretend like you don't enjoy the spotlight Ladybug and Marinette get!" Alya grew angry, but for what reasons?

"What does that have to do with the way you're acting?" Marinette was confused.

And of course Marinette enjoyed the spotlight, but she also hated it a lot. She'd been followed around multiple times, not only as Ladybug anymore. It got harder to transform when she still had to on a daily, and it got really difficult to live a private life.

"You two have been invited to one of the biggest Halloween parties in all of Paris, and you didn't even think about inviting us," Alya crossed her arms in front of her chest.

"You mean the one Jagged Stone is hosting?" Adrien chuckled ironically.

"OF COURSE THAT ONE!" Alya screamed, "do you have any idea who is attending? Not only are models and designer, singers and actors invited, but also News channel hosts!"

"Why ever they would invite those," Adrien rolled his eyes, knowing they would somehow manage to sneak one of their little helpers inside to take embarrassing pictures of the drunk celebrities.

"This could have been my opportunity, but no, you guys don't even invite me!"

"In case you forgot, Alya, we didn't even plan on going! We never went there. And besides, we're here with you, attending your so claimed party, that we didn't even want to come to either," Marinette tried to control her anger.

Marinette knew Alya wanted to go there, but she also didn't want to give in. She knew Alya would never use Marinette for her social status, but right this kind go proved the opposite.

Adrien on the other hand figured it would be better to give in. Alya would never forgive Marinette for taking that opportunity from her. But then again, if Alya truly wanted to get into the business, why didn't she ever try to get in on her own?

Nino finally showed up, and to Marinette and Adrien's surprised, he wasn't in a Chat Noir costume. In fact, he was wearing as a Twister board game. It was weird to look at, but definitely unique.

He was dressed in white completely, with green, yellow, blue and red circles glued to the fabric. He even carried the spin board with him to make it look more authentic.

"What's up, dudes?" Nino cheered, chugging down the liquid from his red cup.

"That's a very interesting choice in costume," Adrien chuckled, pointing to the only red dot that was glued to Nino's clothes, "and a pretty interesting placement in circles."

Nino looked down at himself, then shrugged. "Makes a great target later on."

The single red circle happened to be glued right onto his crotch.

"You know, Mari, maybe we should actually go to that party," Adrien took Marinette hands in his, giving her a small smile.

"But that's exactly what Alya wants. And until she changed her costume I am not going anywhere," she stayed stubborn.

Alya quickly ran off, probably to go get changed.

"Let her have her moment, Bugaboo," he leaned in closer. "we can just sneak off at some point," Adrien whispered into Marinette's ear.

"But there will be so many people," she groaned, leaning her head back into her neck, rolling her eyes.

"Try looking at the bright sight, you don't have to face another round of truth or dare with Alya," Adrien chuckled at the memory of their last time playing it together.

"ALYA ARE YOU DONE!? WE ARE LEAVING IN FIVE!"

Of course Jagged Stone would rent a huge room in the Grand Paris for his Halloween Party. But what was more surprising, Jagged Stone threw a party.

What Marinette and Adrien didn't think about, if Jagged Stone threw a party, that meant Luka wasn't too far away.

"I am assuming you both brought a plus one?" The bouncer, who obviously knew Adrien and Marinette, asked.

"Yup, I hope that's not a problem," Marinette said in a sweet voice.

"Not at all," the bouncer said, opening the door to the four friends to enter. "Have a lovely evening, Miss Dupain-Cheng."

Marinette thanked him with a smile.

Adrien on the other hand gave that very bouncer a grumpy look. Cause, why would he only wish Marinette, his Marinette, a lovely evening?

He quickly wrapped his arm around Marinette's waist, pulling her in closer than ever as he made sure that bouncer knew she was hit. Not that Adrien had any competition.

Okay, maybe he had a lot in his eyes, but Marinette only saw Adrien.

Not even a second after they've entered the room, Alya and Nino took off. But instead of going after them, Adrien and Marinette figured they could use that moment of silence to look for somewhere to sit.

"ADRIEN!" They could hear the very same voice Marinette despited more than anything yell.

Marinette looked around the room only for her eyes to meet Lila's. She groaned, rolling her eyes, feeling her mood drastically sink even further down.

"What is she doing here anyway?" Adrien asked, tilting his head to the side as he tried to make sense of Lila being there.

"She probably lied her way in. Something like Jagged Stone being her father or whatever." Marinette couldn't and didn't want to believe Lila was actually there.

"Let's just go find somewhere to sit," Adrien laughed, walking towards the only table he could spot being almost to empty.

The downside to this table being almost empty, Chloé Bourgeois.

"Well, she's better than Lila, I guess," Marinette sighed heavily.

"Adrikins!" Chloé exclaimed, tapping the free seat beside her.

To Adrien's luck, Marinette made sure Adrien was not sitting next to her. Sure she knew Adrien and Chloé used to be close friends, but Marinette wasn't letting her close to Adrien.

She trusted Adrien, but she definitely didn't trust Chloé.

They both took a seat across from Chloé, giving her a sweet smile. Although Marinette wanted to rip her eyes out for no reason whatsoever, she at least tried to stay polite.

"Your costume looks great, Marinette," Chloé complimented all nicely.

Marinette was pretty sceptical at first, but as the night went on she figured that Chloé was trying so hard to be nice, which eventually made her more likeable.

Hours passed, Nino and Alya were still talking to the most random people, trying to impress everyone. It was kind of annoying to Marinette and Adrien, but they couldn't keep them locked to their seats like children.

Marinette and Adrien had been drinking a good amount of alcohol. Not to the point where they'd be totally drunk, but tipsy enough to lose that stuck up attitude and loosened up.

Adrien grasped Marinette's wrist, pulling her off the chair and forcing her right onto the dance floor.

Marinette was never the kind to dance in a huge crowd, especially not with possible undercover paparazzi's around that would make anything seem bad.

But thanks to her alcohol intake, she didn't really care too much anymore.

They stood right in the middle of the dance floor. Adrien laid his hands down onto Marinette's waist, following every of her moves.

She swayed her hips to the rhythm of the music, her arms wrapped around his neck, forcing Adrien to dance along.

She laughed, leaning back, trusting Adrien to hold her. Marinette felt free, not caring about anything that was happening around her. She didn't care about anything anymore at all, not even the fact that Lila was still somewhere around.

Marinette turned around, her back facing Adrien's front.

Adrien would still have his hands around Marinette, still following every move, every hip swing. Well, until he couldn't do that any longer.

Marinette pressed her behind against his crotch lightly. At first he didn't mind it too much, but then she did it again, and again, and again.

With every time she would do it, she would press a little harder, rubbing against him until she could feel his dick harden in his suit pants.

Marinette turned back around, her face lifted so she could look into Adrien's face. His cheeks were red, but not from the dancing or alcohol. Well, maybe the alcohol had something to do with it, but not entirely.

He leaned down, brushing his lips over Marinette's. Then he proceeded to more further down until his mouth on the same height as Marinette's ear.

"You're playing a dangerous game, Milady," he said as his hands stroke down Marinette's waist, over her lower back, right onto her ass.

"I like dangerous," Marinette grinned mischievously at him, pulling him down so she could kiss him again.

Adrien spun Marinette around, she laughed.

He loved hearing her laugh. It was probably one of the most calming things to him. Whenever she laughed, he felt better. Her laughter was like medicine to him, any worries were gone, any pain faded cause it was Marinette.

He spun her around one more time, then holding her in his arms. He grabbed her face and kissed her. Adrien teased her lips with his.

And then he did it again.

He leaned down to the height of her ear so only she could hear what he would be saying next.

"Marry me, Marinette," he said and placed a kiss onto her forehead right after.

Her eyes widened as her jaw dropped. Her legs were suddenly made of pudding, to the point were Adrien had to hold Marinette up otherwise she would have probably fallen over.

"What did you say?" Marinette couldn't believe his words. But even less could she believe that he did sort of 'asked' her before already.

All this time she had still kind of thought she was dreaming it, but he said it again.

Adrien smiled at Marinette, intertwining his hand with hers before pulling her along with him as he left the party room to find somewhere more private.

"Adrien," Marinette said raucously.

Before she could say anything else, Adrien had found a janitors room. But to his luck this one was a more fancy janitors room.

It had a huge counter space, a lot of cleaning and plumping utilities but that wasn't too important.

Adrien pushed Marinette into the room, lifting her up by her waist and sat her down onto the counter that was actually pretty clean.

He locked the door, and turned his attention back to her.

"Adrien, can we-" she was interrupted by Adrien's lips pressing against her's.

Of course she didn't complain, although Marinette had loved to talk about that proposal first.

He pulled back from her lips, that were not swollen. He would be caressing her face with the tips of his fingers, slowly and gently stroke them down to her chin, over her neck, to her collarbones.

Adrien would then proceed to move one finger along the laces of her top. Poking his index finger through one of the holes right above her breasts.

"You know, I don't like people seeing your breasts only half covered," Adrien whispered.

"I know, I'm sorry," Marinette apologised, but Adrien shushed her by gently reconnecting his lips with hers.

"You don't have to be sorry, wear what you want, Bugaboo," he smiled, continuing to stroke down her body. "Just don't walk around naked, please."

"I would never, Adrien." Marinette's breathing became unsteadier the closer Adrien moved downwards.

He stroked his hand over her knee, then moved upwards over her thigh, drawing small circles on her inner thigh before moving even higher.

Marinette's breath was shaky. She was desperately waiting for his touch, but as usual, she would have to give her permission until Adrien would touch her.

"Adrien, please, touch me," she begged, putting her weight onto her hands as she leaned back, spreading her legs apart to grant Adrien some more access.

"We're in a janitors closet, you know," Adrien smirked but Marinette didn't give a shit.

"So make it quick," she groaned.

Adrien chuckled, but he would quickly be interrupted by Marinette grabbing his face into her hands, pulling his lips onto hers, testing his tongue with hers.

She moaned into his mouth as Adrien moved his fingertips over her panties, pushing them aside.

Adrien would stroke his finger between her labia, drawing small circles around her entrance before proceeding to spread her wetness all around her.

Marinette let out yet another, this time way louder moan.

"Do you want other people to hear us?" Adrien placed his free hand right over Marinette's mouth to keep her quiet.

Adrien pushed one of his fingers inside her vagina. He was massaging her walls before pulling out and pushing it back inside again.

That was until he could feel Marinette bite down onto her lip, letting out only muffled moans as he still kept her mouth covered.

He removed his hand from her intimate area, pushing his still covered boner right against her as he stood between her legs.

The skit lifted. Marinette immediately went to open Adrien's pants, pulling his boxers down enough to free his erection.

She grabbed his cock, adding pressure onto the tip with her thumb, then wrapping her hand around his dick.

Adrien gasped but contained himself.

He pushed her knees wider apart.

Without wasting any more time, Adrien moved a little closer. Marinette adjusted his dick to her entrance, then removed her hand so he could push himself inside, claiming her.

Marinette was his. And he loved it. He loved knowing that after all this time they'd known each other, after all the pain they'd both put one another through, one more than the other, she was his. And she loved him. And he loved her.

He eased back, and eased back in.

Marinette's mouth opened wide, but she forced herself to stay quiet.

Adrien would pick up the pace. Her legs wrapping around his hips, pushing Adrien closer against her, holding him.

She cried out quietly, tossing her head back as she closed her eyes.

They were both panting, gasping for air. Drops of sweat appeared on their foreheads.

Adrien pushing into her deeper, bringing his thumb up to her clit, drawing circles to bring her closer to the edge.

He could feel her walls tightening as she came and he let go as well, emptying himself inside her.

Marinette rested her forehead against Adrien's shoulder, but wanted to pull back as she remembered the makeup in her face.

But then she didn't really care anymore, it wasn't like anyone would notice the little few extra drops of fake blood on his already drenched tuxedo.

As soon as they both came back down from their high, Adrien carefully removed himself from Marinette, pulling up his boxers and pants.

He adjusted Marinette's panties to her body. Lifting her face with his index finger under Marinette's chin, he placed a soft and gentle kiss onto her lips, putting a few strand of hair behind her ear.

"You're still on birth-control, right?" Adrien then asked.

Marinette nodded, laughing softly.

"Guess I asked too late anyway," he shrugged and placed yet another kiss onto her lips.

He loved Marinette's lips. They were always so soft and tasted like her. And they were Marinette's.

Marinette chuckled at his comment.

"You know, I think After Sex could really become something big, with a different name maybe," Adrien then said out of no where, as he helped Marinette down from the counter space.

"I like the name, it has character," Marinette shook out her legs gently, holding herself steady by gabbing onto Adrien.

"Character?" Adrien laughed.

"Yeah, it sounds interesting. Like, why would the Adrien Agreste release a new perfume named "After Sex" when he could have just called it "Adrien the fragrance II"?"

"Maybe because it's been a couple of years and to be honest, Adrien the fragrance is pretty boring."

"Don't you dare disrespect Adrien the fragrance like that ever again!"

"Let me guess, you had a couple of bottles then?"

"No," Marinette looked away, "I only had like a whole shelf filled up with bottles of it."

"How big was that shelf?"

"Like, shelf size. I don't know, I had like 250 bottles."

"I didn't even have one." Adrien's eyes widened.

"Cause I bought them all."

"Probably." Adrien went to unlock the door, opening it carefully.

He looked around to see if someone was around, but to their luck, no one seemed to be there.

Marinette went to step outside, but Adrien held her hand, pulling her back only slightly until she turned around.

"I want an answer, you know," Adrien smiled softy.

"An answer to what?"

"Are you going to marry me or not?"

Marinette looked up at the ceiling for a second, kind of like she was trying to hold back her tears.

"You see," she looked back down, right into his eyes, "if you went a bit more over the top, giving me some hearts and flowers, maybe I would have said yes."

She winked and pulled her hand away from him, turning around to walk away.

"Is that a yes?!" Adrien yelled after her. She turned around and shrugged. "You're driving me insane, you know that, right?"

As they were back in the party room, Alya and Nino immediately came running towards them.

"Where the hell have you been, dudes!" Nino exclaimed.

"Luka has been looking for Marinette this whole time!" Alya added.

"Luka can suck my dick," Adrien rolled his eyes, forming his hands into fists.

"I think Mari would prefer if he didn't," Nino raised an eyebrow.

"You know, Luka just wants to get inside her pants, right?" Adrien tensed up more and more.

Marinette rolled her eyes, being sick of the topic.

Sure, she just recently had a literal nightmare about Luka trying to do things to her, but that's all it was, a nightmare.

"At least I could make her feel good," a male voice suddenly spoke from behind of Adrien.

Adrien knew that voice only too well. He learned to hate it the way Marinette hated Lila's.

"Fuck off, Luka," Adrien grew angrier until Marinette sneaked her hand into his.

As soon as he could feel Marinette intertwining their hands, it was like Luka wasn't even there. Yeah, Luka's, to Adrien seemingly annoying voice was still audible, and he still saw Luka's mouth open, but it wasn't angering him any longer.

"Why are you being so disrespectful, Luka? I thought we were friends. You know I'm dating Adrien, so what's the use in trying to change that?" Marinette's sweet voice came through.

"Adrien is like a knock-off version of me. You could have it so much better."

"Adrien gives me everything I need. He treats me like no one ever could. I am happier than ever with him by my side. You don't have the right to speak of him the way you do," Marinette tried to stay calm, praying their argument wouldn't draw too much attention to them.

"So that's why you wanted to break up with him just a couple of days ago, right?"

Adrien's eyes widened. His heartbeat quickened as he looked at Marinette with fear spread all over his face.

"How the fuck would you know what I wanted?" Marinette asked impolite, yet she kept quiet.

Luka didn't respond to it.

"Luka, how the fuck would you know that! Answer me!" She got louder, but still managed to not draw too much attention onto herself.

"You took a break from anything public. You isolated yourself, and Adrien didn't even mention you in his interview the other day. It was pretty obvious that something wasn't right between the both of you."

"So what? That doesn't mean I wanted to break up!" As much as Marinette tried telling herself just that, deep down she knew she was toying with that very thought before.

But even if she wanted to break up, that still didn't give Luka the right to assume it, especially not right in front of Adrien himself.

Luka was purposely trying to make Marinette look bad.

Marinette shook her head in disbelief, storming right out of the room. Of course Adrien was following her.

"Mari, wait!" He yelled after her, but she just wouldn't stop. "Mari!"

"Just leave me alone, Adrien." Tears were streaming down her face. She knew pushing Adrien away right at this moment wouldn't exactly put a good light onto her, but she also didn't really care at this moment.

"I won't do that," Adrien caught up with her once they left the building. He grasped her hand in his, pulling her back until her body was hitting his. "I know I have been a pain in the ass lately. I know our relationship hadn't been the best lately, okay?"

He wiped away a tear from Marinette's face.

"I know we've had our differences. Stop acting like I was not there this whole time," Adrien placed his hands on her jawline, forcing Marinette to look into his eyes.

"Adrien-"

"No, you'll listen to me for once, please." Marinette nodded, taking in a deep breath. "I knew you were thinking about leaving me. Well, I didn't know, I was assuming it. Either way, I knew something had to change. I was still very angry with my father, especially cause he still didn't bury my mum properly, but that didn't give me the right to treat you the way I did."

Marinette stood silent.

"I see that now. I was so stuck up with wanting to be happy again, that I forgot my happiness was in you. You make my whole world light up, even brightening up the spots I didn't even know where dark. You are my happiness, and it took me way too long to realise that."

"I don't want to break up, Adrien," Marinette sobbed.

"I know you don't." He wrapped his arms around Marinette, pulling her into a tight up, just enjoying her being there.

It was only then when Marinette realised what Adrien had just said.

"Gabriel still didn't bury your mum?"

"No." Adrien felt ashamed.

"Maybe I can help."
