The morning sunlight slipped through the sheer curtains, bathing the room in a warm, golden hue. For the first time in what felt like forever, the atmosphere inside was calmโ€”though the room was anything but quiet.

William lay propped up slightly against the pillows, a faint color returning to his cheeks. The oxygen mask was gone now, replaced by a small smile that tugged at his lips as he took in the scene around him.

Pooh, the quietest of them all, sat half-curled on the edge of the bed, refusing to move an inch. His hand was gripping Williamโ€™s wrist as if letting go would make him disappear again. He didnโ€™t speak, didnโ€™t tease like he usually didโ€”he just stayed.

Sky was on the other side, leaned forward with his elbows on his knees, watching William with a mix of relief and guilt etched across his face. Every few seconds, heโ€™d check the IV line or adjust the blanket, like his brother would break if he didnโ€™t keep watch.

Across from him, Est sat dutifully with a bowl of fruit, cutting tiny pieces and feeding them to William. โ€œSlowly,โ€ Est said softly as William tried to eat faster. โ€œYouโ€™re not escaping another hospital stay if you choke, Iโ€™m warning you.โ€

William chuckled weakly. โ€œYes, doctor,โ€ he said, though his eyes softened every time Est brought the spoon near his lips.

โ€œGood. Because if you pull another disappearing act,โ€ Est muttered, cheeks flushed, โ€œIโ€™ll handcuff you to the bed next time.โ€

Pooh snorted, unable to help it. โ€œYouโ€™d need Skyโ€™s permission for that.โ€

Sky looked up with a smirk. โ€œPermission denied.โ€

The laughter that followed was soft but genuineโ€”the kind that made the walls feel lighter.

Meanwhile, Nani sat cross-legged near Williamโ€™s feet, his tablet balanced on his knees as he swiped through wedding suits. โ€œOkay, Iโ€™m saying this for the last time,โ€ Nani announced dramatically. โ€œYou all are banned from wearing beige. I want contrast, something royal, not a funeral in silk.โ€

William groaned playfully. โ€œWe almost had a funeral, Nani.โ€

โ€œExactly!โ€ Nani shot back. โ€œAll the more reason to have colors. Youโ€™re not dying before my wedding, Will. None of you are.โ€

That earned another round of chucklesโ€”even Sky smiled this time, shaking his head. โ€œYou sound like Papa Pete,โ€ he said.

โ€œSpeaking of Papa,โ€ Est added, โ€œhe said the weddingโ€™s still happening. No delays.โ€

Skyโ€™s expression shifted, a mix of surprise and disbelief. โ€œWhat?โ€

Nani turned his iPad around, showing him the message from Vegas. โ€œFive days from now. Your father doesnโ€™t trust you enough to give you another month.โ€

Sky groaned, rubbing a hand over his face. โ€œHeโ€™s still mad, huh?โ€

โ€œMad?โ€ William coughed out a laugh. โ€œHe nearly destroyed half a base getting you out, brother. Iโ€™d say heโ€™s furious.โ€

Everyone burst into laughter again, the sound filling the room like sunlight.Nani leaned over and placed his head gently on Skyโ€™s shoulder. โ€œAt least weโ€™re all here now,โ€ he whispered.

Skyโ€™s hand came up to brush his hair back, voice soft. โ€œYeah. All here.โ€

The peace in the room didnโ€™t last longโ€”because Nani decided it wouldnโ€™t.

โ€œIโ€™ve made my decision,โ€ he declared suddenly, tapping his iPad like a royal decree. โ€œEveryoneโ€”and I mean everyoneโ€”is wearing black. No white shirt, no tie in any shade of โ€˜I think this will match,โ€™ nothing. Pure black.โ€

Sky blinked at him, brow raised. โ€œEveryone? Even Papa Pete?โ€

โ€œEspecially Papa Pete,โ€ Nani replied with a grin. โ€œHeโ€™ll look like an expensive mafia boss. It fits the family image.โ€

Pooh snorted so loudly that Est elbowed him in the ribs. โ€œWhat?โ€ Pooh said, smirking. โ€œheโ€™s not wrong.โ€

William leaned his head back against the pillow, looking way too pleased. โ€œFinally, someone understands my aesthetic. Iโ€™ve been waiting for this day.โ€

โ€œYouโ€™re not the aesthetic,โ€ Est muttered, cutting another piece of apple. โ€œYouโ€™re the problem.โ€

William gasped dramatically, clutching his chest. โ€œYou wound me, darling. Emotionally this time, not physically.โ€

Nani pointed at him with his stylus. โ€œDonโ€™t tempt me to reconsider. I might put you in beige for that comment.โ€

That earned a collective groan from everyone.

โ€œBeige?โ€ Sky looked horrified. โ€œYouโ€™d destroy our entire family legacy with one outfit choice.โ€

โ€œIโ€™ll destroy whoever interrupts my color scheme again,โ€ Nani shot back, flipping his hair dramatically.

Jimmy, who had just walked in with Sea carrying breakfast trays, stopped mid-step. โ€œWait, did I hear correctly? Black suits for everyone?โ€

โ€œYes,โ€ Nani said without missing a beat. โ€œYou, Sea, Pooh, Est, William, Papa Pete, Dad Force, Papa Bookโ€”everyone.โ€

Sea blinked. โ€œBut black on meโ€”โ€

โ€œLooks hot,โ€ Jimmy finished for him, wrapping an arm around his waist. โ€œWeโ€™re good with that.โ€

โ€œUgh, you two,โ€ Pooh groaned, tossing a pillow at them.

Jimmy dodged easily, grinning. โ€œJealous because youโ€™re single?โ€

Pooh deadpanned. โ€œJealous because Iโ€™m not nauseous, thank you.โ€

The laughter that followed filled the room again, bright and loud. Even Est chuckled softly, though he tried to hide it behind his hand.

Sky watched them all with a small smile, then looked at Nani. โ€œAnd what about us, my dear dictator of fashion?โ€

Nani turned the iPad toward him with a triumphant grin. โ€œWeโ€™ll wear white.โ€

โ€œWhite?โ€ William teased, arching a brow. โ€œYou mean matching? Like an angelic duo of chaos?โ€

โ€œExactly,โ€ Nani said proudly. โ€œEveryone else will look deadly, and weโ€™ll look divine. Balance.โ€

Sky chuckled, leaning over to press a kiss to his fiancรฉโ€™s temple. โ€œYou really planned all this in your head, didnโ€™t you?โ€

โ€œOf course,โ€ Nani replied without hesitation. โ€œIโ€™ve been planning this wedding since the day you forgot our first-month anniversary.โ€

The room exploded.

โ€œWaitโ€”he forgot?โ€ William cackled. โ€œSky Theerapakyun, the man who remembers his enemiesโ€™ birthdays but not his fiancรฉโ€™s?โ€

โ€œShut up!โ€ Sky shot back, flustered.

Est covered his mouth, trying not to laugh. โ€œExcuse me, but thatโ€™s valid. He gets a pass.โ€

โ€œNot from me,โ€ Nani muttered with a playful glare, crossing his arms.

Sky sighed dramatically. โ€œYouโ€™ll forgive me when you see my wedding gift.โ€

Naniโ€™s eyes sparkled instantly. โ€œOh really?โ€

Sky smirked. โ€œMm-hmm. So stop pouting before I change my mind.โ€

Nani gasped, feigning offense. โ€œYou wouldnโ€™t dareโ€”โ€

William groaned loudly. โ€œOkay, Iโ€™m too injured to handle this much flirting. Can we move on before they start making heart eyes again?โ€

โ€œYouโ€™re just jealous,โ€ Est murmured, smirking.

William grinned. โ€œAlways, darling. Always.โ€

And just like that, the Theerapakyun estate was filled with laughter againโ€”soft, teasing, and warm, the kind that spoke of survival and love.Even with war behind them and chaos ahead, they were family.

Three days later, the calm before the wedding shattered spectacularly.

The Theerapakyun family was officially divided โ€” Team Groom vs. Team Bride, though both sides seemed to have forgotten the โ€œcalmโ€ part of any celebration.

๐™๐™š๐™–๐™ข ๐™‚๐™ง๐™ค๐™ค๐™ข

A private estate on the outskirts of Rayong glittered with low neon lights and the sound of laughter. The air smelled of expensive liquor, cigar smoke, and too many egos in one room.

Sky was dressed in blackโ€”clean, dangerous, magnetic. Beside him, William was his usual chaos reborn, slouched comfortably with a whiskey glass and his smirk that could make anyone nervous. Pooh sat at the bar, already halfway into his second cocktail, while Jimmy was the life of the partyโ€”cracking jokes, making even Vegas laugh.

Yes, Vegas Theerapakyun. The man who rarely smiled was now sipping scotch, smirking at the sight of his sonโ€™s friends trying to outdrink each other.

Force was there too, arms crossed, pretending to be unimpressed while secretly making sure no one passed their limits.

โ€œSo tell me,โ€ Force began smoothly, glancing at Sky with a half-smile, โ€œyou sure you want to marry my son? Last chance to run.โ€

The room went quiet for a heartbeat before Sky raised his glass, eyes gleaming.

โ€œToo late, dad. Iโ€™ve already signed the deal with my soul.โ€

William snorted, choking on his drink. โ€œThatโ€™s either the most romantic or most terrifying thing Iโ€™ve ever heard.โ€

Pooh groaned. โ€œDefinitely terrifying. You two are gonna set the house on fire at the wedding.โ€

Jimmy leaned back on the couch, grinning. โ€œCorrection โ€” theyโ€™ll set the marriage on fire.โ€

Even Vegas cracked a reluctant smile. โ€œAs long as they donโ€™t burn the house I built, Iโ€™ll allow it.โ€

Vegas chuckled, shaking his head. โ€œBoys, behave. Tomorrow youโ€™ll be hungover, and Iโ€™m not paying for a single IV drip.โ€

William lifted his glass lazily. โ€œCheers to that.โ€

โ€œCheers to us surviving Naniโ€™s wedding plans,โ€ Sky added, and the whole room roared with laughter.

๐™๐™š๐™–๐™ข ๐˜ฝ๐™ง๐™ž๐™™๐™š

Meanwhile, chaos had a different rhythm at the penthouse.

Music blasted through the speakers, neon lights reflecting over the pool where half of the guests were already splashing around. The night smelled of coconut oil, champagne, and too many perfumes mixed together.

Nani stood at the center of it all, wearing something glittery enough to blind anyone within a five-meter radius. His hair was slicked back, his skin glowing, his smileโ€”lethal.

โ€œDJ, louder!โ€ he shouted, raising his glass of sparkling wine. โ€œThis is our night!โ€

Est cheered beside him, pulling his brother into a spin that made the crowd whistle. The two brothers moved in sync, laughing breathlessly as the music pulsed.

Sea and Papa Pete were at the bar, watching with amused expressions. Pete was laughing so hard he could barely hold his drink. โ€œThatโ€™s my boy! Show them how to make an entrance!โ€

Book was beside him, shaking his head but smiling anyway. โ€œYouโ€™re enabling him.โ€

Pete shrugged. โ€œItโ€™s his wedding week. He can be as dramatic as he wants.โ€

Est grabbed Naniโ€™s hand, twirling him again until Nani crashed into Sea, laughing uncontrollably. โ€œYouโ€™re doing that on purpose!โ€

โ€œObviously,โ€ Est teased, grinning. โ€œIf youโ€™re gonna marry a Theerapakyun, you better learn to dodge chaos.โ€

Naniโ€™s laughter softened, his eyes glimmering under the lights. โ€œOh, Iโ€™m not dodging it,โ€ he said, a mischievous smile curving his lips. โ€œI am the chaos.โ€

The whole room erupted again, chants and cheers filling the air as fireworks suddenly burst outside, painting the sea in gold and pink.

Sea glanced up. โ€œWho the hell arranged fireworks?โ€

Pete raised a brow, smug. โ€œYour future husband.โ€

Naniโ€™s eyes softened just slightlyโ€”only for a momentโ€”before he raised his glass toward the sky, whispering just loud enough for Est to hear,โ€œHe better be watching this.โ€

As the night deepened, laughter slowly melted into soft music and sleepy murmurs. The pool was quiet now, only the ripples of fading reflections dancing under the stars. Most guests had retreated โ€” some to their rooms, some passed out on deck chairs, and some (like Est) were still too tipsy to find the stairs.

Nani, however, wasnโ€™t ready to sleep.

He slipped away from the noise, barefoot, a bottle of Chรขteau Margaux dangling loosely from his hand โ€” an absurdly expensive red wine heโ€™d stolen from Vegasโ€™s private stash. Champagne was usually his limit, but tonight wasnโ€™t about rules.

He needed air.He needed silence. And most of allโ€”he needed him.

The terrace was washed in silver moonlight, the sea murmuring faintly below. The cool wind brushed through his hair as he leaned against the railing, the bottle resting beside him.

โ€œCanโ€™t sleep, huh?โ€

The voice came from the shadows. Calm, low, teasing.

Naniโ€™s lips curved before he even turned around. โ€œI knew youโ€™d call.โ€

Skyโ€™s voice was faint through the phone he held against his ear, but the sound alone made something tighten in Naniโ€™s chest.โ€œI told you to go to bed, love,โ€ Sky murmured, sounding more amused than scolding. โ€œYouโ€™re gonna look like a panda at our wedding.โ€

Nani chuckled softly, eyes half-lidded as he watched the stars. โ€œWouldnโ€™t be the first time I walked down the aisle with dark circles.โ€

โ€œHmm. But this time, youโ€™ll walk down toward me,โ€ Sky said, his tone dropping low, rich. โ€œThatโ€™s different.โ€

The silence stretched for a second, heavy with everything they didnโ€™t need to say.

โ€œI missed you tonight,โ€ Nani admitted finally, swirling the wine in the glass heโ€™d just poured. โ€œEverything feels too loud without you. Even happiness.โ€

Sky exhaled quietly on the other end. โ€œI know. But itโ€™s the last night apart, Nani. Tomorrow Iโ€™m taking you home. For good.โ€

Nani tilted his head, smiling faintly as the sea breeze lifted his hair. โ€œYou sound so sure of that, Sky Theerapakyun.โ€

โ€œI am sure,โ€ Sky said, his voice softer now. โ€œBecause I donโ€™t let go of whatโ€™s mine.โ€

Nani laughed under his breath, that beautiful, tired laugh that Sky could almost see through the call. โ€œPossessive much?โ€

โ€œOnly when it comes to you.โ€

Nani took a sip of the wine, his smile faltering just slightly. โ€œThen promise meโ€ฆ this time, no more blood. No more danger. Just us.โ€

Skyโ€™s silence lingered. Then he said quietly, โ€œJust us, forever.โ€
