Day 67- Irresolute

23:29, 31 January 2017

I woke up with a start.

My body was cold and slightly numb. I noticed Jellal sitting in a plastic chair beside me. I also noticed his bandages on his elbow, wrist, and head and his right eye that was shaded purple all around. It was known that he was badly bruised and I couldn't help but worry about the other two.

I couldn't speak at the moment. My tongue was dry as though a cotton had soaked all my saliva. Jellal helped me sit upright and I couldn't have felt any better. His warm hands slowly wrapped around my waist, and the other holding my hand gently, yet protectively.

"Are you feeling okay?" He asked. His voice soft and attractive.

I nodded.

He gave me a half glass of water so that I could hold it comfortably and was at his ready position in case I wanted something else.

"The doctor will be here any minute now," He said.

"Jellal-Kun, how are you feeling?" I asked. If I hadn't it would have been selfish of me.

"Okay, I guess," He wasn't sure, "The doc gave me a few pills but I can manage."

"And Zeref and Gray...?"

"Fortunately, they are doing well as well. Those two are even wounded than I am but the doc treated them, gave them heavy pills and sent them home. Now they are peacefully resting and I doubt they would wake for another two or three days. It was an exhausting day," He spoke fast and then at the end, chuckled. It felt good to hear his chuckling, his voice and the way he sighed in pauses.

"You should be taking rest too, Jellal-Kun," I said and strangely, I felt that my voice was much cuter than before. Was it the medications or just my ears ringing?

He smiled at me. Not widely but it was enough for me to keep gazing at him.

"I'm fine."

Right then, the doctor came inside the room with a cute-looking nurse behind him.

"Good evening, Miss Scarlet. I am your doctor, Dr. Gildarts and this is my nurse, Cana," She bowed with a smile, "How are you feeling today? Any headaches? Any body pains?"

"None, doctor."

"Good to hear," He scribbled something in a pad of white sheets and signaled the nurse to check my blood pressure and body temperature.

"You seem totally fine, Miss Scarlet," Dr. Gildarts said with a cheerful smile, "I think you can go home after one last check up."

"Thank you, Doctor," I smiled.

"Take care, you and your friends and have a great day."

Me and Jellal bowed to him and he left with his nurse trying to catch up to his heavy speed.

"Guess we can finally go home then," Jellal breathed.

"Yeah, Jellal-Kun..."

He slowly shifted his gaze at me, "Hm?"

"Thank you for saving me and Mavis."

"It's nothing to thank for."

"If the three of you wouldn't have come at the right time..." And then it hit me, "But what happened to Cobra and his men?"

"You might have heard the police cars stopping by, right?" He asked as though the next answer was the obvious explanation to my question. Short and sweet.

"Ah...so they got arrested?"

He nodded.

Though, to be honest, I might have pitied Cobra for his acts but maybe he does deserve being in custody for a few days for kidnapping two teenagers and having him and his men fight us.

"Don't try to think too much about it now, Scarlet," He said. He clearly must have read my expression.

"Yeah..."

"You should take some rest before we go back home. Mavis will be over-joyed to see you."

"Hopefully..."

"You doubt it?" He raised an eyebrow.

"No...it's just that. Right when I came into her life, she had to go through so much because of me. As if I was some kind of a bad luck charm for her..."

"I'm pretty sure she doesn't believe in such kind of stuff," His eyes narrowed a little.

"I know but still...Maybe I should go back home, Jellal."

He didn't speak anything. I couldn't help but notice a slight tension in his body. His jaw clenching into taut and then he finally spoke, "It's up to you. If you feel uncomfortable, then maybe you should."

I was fighting over my indecisive decisions. Weather I should get lost from Zeref's house or just stay with them until the wedding is over.

"So?" He asked.

"Hm?" I tilted my head.

"Are you leaving?"

I couldn't answer him because my decision was still pending.

"You should take some rest."

"Yeah..."

Jellal excused himself to go the washroom and I slipped down on the bed once again, the power of medications exhausting my body and pulling me into a faint fatigue.

Maybe I should leave but as far as I know, Gray wouldn't let me, neither will Zeref.

Then maybe, I should just stay...

Ugh...I should probably think about this one after I wake up.
