Chapter 5- Discipline (part 2)

HISOKA'S POV:

        It has been a month since Illumi left us. I notice the changes in Cheshire's mood. Something is really different right now, the house is so gloomy and the fact that Illumi talked to Cheshire privately before he left is really bothering me because I do not know what he said to her. Well I should sleep now and forget that boy; he will probably not show up and forget us anyways. 

      I am about to close my eyes when suddenly I heard a slow banging on the front window. Of course I checked it, who knows it might be some creep out there waiting for us to get on their trap. I checked it out and saw a little boy just around our age; he has so many cuts and bruises. I got closer to him to see his face more clearly. Turns out, It was Illumi. His cuts and bruises are probably because of his training or a punishment. I asked him why is he here, not because he was not welcome here, it is because it is very unusual for an assassin to come back for someone. He told me that we need to talk about something important and so I asked him if he wanted to get inside, but sadly he declined.

         "I will be straightforward and end this conversation as fast as I can. Hisoka, my punishment is done for staying with you. And well, there are changes that happened. My father said that I can keep in contact with you, but not with anyone else." he said. "That's good, You can still visit us sometime. Should I wake up Cheshire? She really missed you." I said. "No, that won't do." he said in a stern manner. "Why?  You don't you want to see her?" I asked. "That's not it. My father said you are the only one that I can talk to, but not Cheshire." he said, though, I didn't replied. "It is for everyone's safety, Hisoka. We can't go against my parents. Sure, we are strong, but to tell you the reality, our strength is nothing to them. It is best to follow them, It's the safest way for Cheshire. So, what do you think?" he asked. "I guess I'm okay with that. I can't really wager Cheshire's life, she's my priority." I said. 

     "Here's my contact. You can call me if something happens, of course, in private. We can't let Cheshire know about this." he said. "You can also join and help me in some missions, we can still meet after this." he followed.

        After that, he left without a word. I then came back inside and stayed in the comfort of my bed thinking. "Did I do the right thing?"

TIME SKIP:

       Months have passed and I helped him in his mission. I always need to lie to Cheshire whenever she asked about me always leaving . It pains me seeing her like this; lonely. I am still thinking of what Illumi said to her that day. My sister looks so heart broken now; but I guess she will get over it soon enough. However she is still suspicious of me whenever I leave because I always came back with a huge amount on my money so I sometimes bring her to "fake missions" so she won't doubt me.

       We are currently preparing for our very first Hunter exam because they said it is fun and dangerous. I really hope that it is, so we will not be bored for the mean time. I heard that most of the people there are strong and challenging. Who knows, maybe we can even find someone who is at our level and is capable of using nen. Also, this might be the key to Cheshire's happiness.
