Roxanne's POV

I land my fighter and hop out looking for Ahsoka and find her with our new masters. "Ahsoka, we were suppose to arrive together" I state as I join them. Standing beside Ahsoka.

"Sorry Roxi, we had to leave quickly because of the blockade. And you were still getting ready" she tells me sheepishly.

"Lucky I had my fighter" I tell her. "You must be Masters Kenobi and Skywalker. I'm sure Ahsoka has already introduced herself. I am Roxanne, Master Kenobi's new padawan" I tell them.

"She has, I'm Obi-wan Kenobi" Obi-wan tells me.

"Do you know why she's my Padawan?" Skywallker asks me.

"No, Master Yoda assigned us both to you and Master Kenobi. Only he knows why, Master Skywalker" I tell him.

"We'll have to sort this out later. It won't be long before those droids figure out a way around our cannons" Obi-wan states.

"I'll check on Rex at the look out post" Skywalker states.

"You had better take Ahsoka with you" Obi-wan tells him. Skywalker nods for Ahsoka to follow him and leaves. She follows him. "Sorry you had to witness that" he tells me.

"It's fine Master Kenobi, it's just a shock to him" I state.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Roxanne" he says smiling. "Since you have a fighter, I take it that means you have a droid also?" he asks me.

"Yes, it was a gift from my mother" I tell him. Soon Skywalker and Ahsoka return with news of the enemy having an energy shield that's expanding towards us.

"The shield generator is somewhere in this area" Obi-wan says pointing at the hologram of the city.

"They're slowly increasing the diameter, and keeping it just ahead of their troops. Heavy cannons are gonna be useless against that" I state.

"As they get closer, I suppose we could try to draw them into the buildings. That might level the playing field a bit" Obi-wan suggests.

"If that shield's gonna be such a problem, why don't we just take it out?" Ahsoka asks.

"Easier said then done" Captain Rex tells her.

"Well, I, for one, agree with her. Someone has to get to that shield generator and destroy it. That's the key" Skywalker tells us.

"Right, then. Maybe you two can tiptoe through the enemy lines. ...and solve this particular problem together" Obi-wan suggests.

"Can do, Master Kenobi" Ahsoka assures him.

"I'll decide what we do" Skywalker tells her.

"If Rex, Roxanne and I can engage them here... ...you two might have a chance to get through their lines undetected, here" Obi-wan says pointing at the hologram.

"They won't have much time. The droids far outnumber us... So our ability to street fight is limited without the use of heavy cannons" Rex states.

"He's right" I say looking at the hologram. "They will march forward under the protection of their shield. Until they are right on top of our cannons, then they'll blow them away" I explain.

"We'll figure out a way" Ahsoka assures me. "Come on, Master, let's go" she says and leaves. Skywalker follows talking to her a hushed tones.

"They make quite a pair, don't they, sir? You think they have a chance?" Rex asks Obi-wan.

"They better. If they can't turn off that shield generator before it reaches the heavy cannons. There'll be no escape for any of us" Obi-wan states. "Stay close to me during the fight Roxanne" he tells me.

"Sure thing Master, I look forward to learning from you" I tell him. He nods his head and we go to the heavy cannons. We try to blast the shield with them, with no effect.

"That shield is certainly putting a crimp in my day" Obi-wan says as we look through binoculars.

"It's no use master, even at full power the cannons have no effect" I tell him.

"You're right. Rex seize fire" he orders and the cannons stop firing. "It was worth a try, tell the men to fall back" he orders. Rex follows his orders. We then get into our ambush positions.

The deflector shield passes over us. "We're inside the shield. Just stay away from those tanks" he tells Rex and I. We start our attack. Obi-wan activating his blue light-saber while I activate my purple one. We both take out a super droid each. We draw the droids into the buildings.

I notice several droids surrounding Commander Cody. I jump and land behind him cutting the droids in half. "Not bad" he says. We fight our way back over to Obi-wan to see Rex with him.

"They're right behind us, sir! They wiped out most of my unit. We had to pull out of there" Rex explains.

"The shield has almost reached the heavy cannons" I add as we take cover.

"We're not going to be able to stop them sir" Rex tells him.

"Move your troops back to the heavy cannons. Do everything you can to protect them, Roxanne go with them. I'll delay the droids" Obi-wan orders.

"But master" I try to protest.

"That is an order Roxanne" he tells me. "Cody, make sure she stays with you" he orders.

"Yes sir" Cody says. We fall back as Master Obi-wan covers our retreat.

"I hope our reinforcements arrive soon" I tell Cody and Rex. We arrive and start to fight again. I take a spare gun and start to shoot .

"Not bad kid" Rex tells me.

"Top in my class" I tell him smugly.

"Sir! General Kenobi's been captured! There's no one else left" a trooper tells Cody.

"We've got to hold out! We can't let that shield reach the cannons. Keep fighting!" I order.

"You heard her, keep fighting" Rex orders. We keep fighting. The droids arrive and we're firing in close quarters. I take out my light-saber and jump in front of the troops. Deflecting as many blasts as I can while cutting up droids. Finally the shield is deactivated.

"All cannons, fire on those tanks" I order and they do so immediately. Destroying them. The droids surrender. "Get any wounded to the medics at once. Half of you remain here to protect the cannons. Rex take a squad and go collect Master Skywalker & Ahsoka. The rest of you with me, we must find my master" I tell them. They split up and I go find my master.

I find him with Master Yoda. "Master Obi-wan, the enemy tanks are destroyed and the remaining droids have surrendered" I tell him.

"Well done Roxanne" he praises me. He then explains Skywalker and Ahsoka's situation to Master Yoda. Shortly after they both arrive and join us. We greet each other.

"Trouble, you have, with your new Padawan, I hear" Yoda says looking at Skywalker who looks at Obi-wan.

"I was explaining the situation to Master Yoda" Obi-wan tells him.

"If not ready for a Padawan, you are, then perhaps, we can..." Master Yoda starts to say.

"No, wait a minute. I admit Ahsoka is a little rough around the edges. But with a great deal of training, and patience... ...she might amount to something" Skywalker explains. I smile, my best friend from the temple will be taught by my master's former padawan and main fighting partner. Which means we'll see each other a lot.

"Then go with you, she will, to the Teth system" Yoda states.

"Teth? That's Wild Space" I state.

"The droid army isn't even in that sector" Skywalker adds.

"Kidnapped, Jabba the Hutt's son has been" Yoda explains.

"You want me to rescue Jabba's son?" Skywalker asks Yoda.

"Anakin, we'll need the Hutts' allegiance to give us an advantage over Dooku" Obi-wan tells him.

"Negotiate the treaty with Jabba, Obi-Wan will with Roxanne. Find the renegades that hold Jabba's son, your mission will be, Skywalker" Yoda instructs.

"Come on, Master, it doesn't sound that hard. I'll find Rex and get the troops organized" Ahsoka tells him and runs off.

"I'll find Cody to organize our transport master" I say to Obi-wan and leave the masters alone. After some searching I find him. "Commander, my master and I need a transport to Tatooine immediately" I tell him.

"I'll have his fighter prepared" he assures me and leaves. I get into my own fight.

"We're going to see Jabba the Hutt Q5" I tell my droid. Soon Obi-wan enters his fighter and we take off. I follow him to Tatooine. "So is Jabba the Hutt really as bad as people say?" I ask my master.

"When in a bad mode yes" he tells me. "But don't worry, I'm sure he's in a good mode" he assures me. We disconnect from the hyper drive rings and fly down to the planet. We land outside Jabba's palace. We're greeted by a droid and several bounty hunters.

"We should not keep the wise and powerful Jabba waiting" the droid tells us.

"We wouldn't dream of it" Obi-wan tells it. We're escorted inside. "Let me do the talking" he tells me. I nod my head. We're brought before Jabba and Master Obi-wan starts to talk. "Mighty Jabba, one of our most powerful Jedi is on his way to rescue your son. We will not let you down" he assures him.

Jabba says something in his native tongue. " The most gracious Jabba has one more small condition. He demands you bring back the slime who kidnapped his little punky muffin. Dead or alive" the droid translates. Jabba speaks again and the droid translates. "If you do not succeed, Count Dooku and his droid army will". Good luck Anakin and Ahsoka.

"Roxanne send Anakin and Ahsoka a message explaining the deal" Obi-wan tells me.

"Of course Master Kenobi" I say and go into the hallway. I take out my holographic communicator and call Ahsoka. She answers. "All right, Master Skywalker. Here's the story. Jabba has given us only one planetary rotation. ...to get his son back home to Tatooine safe and sound" I explain.

"Won't take us that long Roxanne" he tells me.

"Well, take extreme care. We have no idea who's holding Jabba's son. When we've finished negotiations with him, we will join you" I tell him. I end the call and rejoin my master. "He says he should be back before the time runs out" I inform them.

"They had better" the droid tells us. Obi-wan and I return to our fighters. And leave to go help the other two. We return to the command ship and Obi-wan orders Cody to take us to the Teth system straight way. We then go to the communications room to contact Anakin and Ahsoka.

"Anakin, did you locate Jabba's son?" Obi-wan asks him.

"We have him, but it looks like the Separatists are behind his abduction. This smells like Count Dooku to me" Anakin explains.

"I think it's little Stinky you smell" I hear Ahsoka says.

"I'll bet Dooku is using us to get Jabba to join the Separatists" I state.

"You maybe right" Obi-wan tells me.

"Master Kenobi, we have another problem. This Huttlet is very sick" Ahsoka tells him.

"I'm not sure we can get him back to Tatooine alive, Master. This whole rescue may backfire on us. I still don't think dealing with the Hutts is a good idea" Anakin explains.

"Anakin, you know they control shipping routes in the Outer Rim. Jabba's cooperation is crucial to the war effort. If you let anything happen to his son, our chances of a treaty with him will disappear" Obi-wan tells him.

"Master, we have trouble" Ahsoka tells Anakin. I hear fighters through the comm-link.

"We've got trouble! Defensive positions" I hear Rex orders.

"I'll have to call you back, Master. We're under attack. We could use a little help here if you have the time" Anakin tells us.

"I'll get there as soon as I can. Protect the Hutt, Anakin" Obi-wan tells him.

"Save me some droids Ahsoka" I add before we end the conversation. Obi-wan orders the admiral to make the ship go faster. "I hope they get the huttlet to a medic as soon as possible" I say.

"I'm sure they will" Obi-wan assures me. "Go make sure the gun ships are ready" he tells me. I nod my head and run to the hanger. I help get the ships ready and we soon arrive. Obi-wan and I get back into our fighters to lead the gunships.

As soon as we enter the atmosphere we're meet by enemy fighters. I dodged a blast while firing back. We notice a battle on the east side of the palace and head there.  We find two clones surrounded by droids. "Take over Q5" I say and open the ship. I jump out as we fly over and start to destroy the droids. Obi-wan soon joins me and we finish them off with our clones.

"Where's Skywalker?" he asks Rex.

"And Ahsoka?" I ask.

"Best guess, in the castle" Rex tells us.

"Keep the droids occupied. I'll go find him" Obi-wan tells me and runs inside after I nodded. We continue to fight the droids. I notice a rust bucket fly over head.

"Ma'am, Skywalker just commed in. They won't be able to help" Rex tells me.

"They have to protect the hutt, mission always comes first" I state. "We'll be alright" I add. "Cover me" I say and rush forward. I plant a grenade under a small spider droid and roll away as it goes off. I then cut the legs off the fighter bringing it down and behead it.

I sense the others leave the system with the huttlet and Obi-wan returns. "Captain, I understand General Skywalker escaped" he says.

"Yes, sir. On some beat-up old space freighter" Rex states.

"I'll be surprised if he even makes it to Tatooine in that junker" I add as I deflect a blast.

"If anybody can fly a bucket of bolts through hyperspace, he can" Obi-wan assures us and we continue to fight. We finish it and receive a transmission from Anakin.

"Obi-Wan, come in! Do you copy?" Anakin asks.

"Kenobi and Roxanne here" I say accepting the call.

"Have you reached Tatooine yet?" Obi-wan asks him.

"Almost, but we ran into some old..." Anakin starts to say.

"Anakin, did you get shot down again?" Obi-wan asks cutting him off.

"Yes" Ahsoka answers.

"This ship is too slow. I haven't had time to modify it yet" Anakin states.

"We're still cleaning up your other mess" I tell them.

"But we'll get there" Obi-wan assures them and we end the transmission. Obi-wan then contacts the chancellor and Master Yoda. Filling them in on the situation. We load up and move out once the wounded are stabilized. I sense Ahsoka in danger and hop into my fighter & take off for Tatooine.

I arrive and fly of the dunes searching for her. I find her battling three Magnaguards. I shot one and jump out of my fighter leaving Q5 in charge. I land behind Ahsoka and start to fight one of the remaining droids. "Roxi, what are you doing here?" she asks me shocked.

"I felt that you needed help" I state and disarm the droid. Then behead it and she cuts the over in half. "Lets get to the palace" I tell her taking the huttlet to give her a break. We run and arrive in time to save Anakin. I hand the huttlet to Jabba. "As promised, your son alive and well" I say smiling. Jabba speaks in his language.

"You are to be executed immediately" the droid translates.

"What?" we all exclaim going back to back activating our light-sabers.

"Does this always happen to you?" Ahsoka asks Anakin.

"Everywhere I go" Anakin answers. Suddenly a transmission comes through from Jabba's uncle.

"Greetings, honorable Jabba. I am Senator Amidala of the Galactic Congress. I have discovered a plot against you by one of your own. Your uncle will admit he conspired with Count Dooku to kidnap your son. ...and frame the Jedi for the crime" the woman says and another hutt appears.

"It was Count Dooku!" the hutt tells Jabba plaedingly. Jabba yells at him in their native tongue. The senator reappears.

"Ziro will be dealt with by the Hutt family most severely" the droid tells her.

"Perhaps now you will allow the Republic to use your trade routes. ...and hostilities can come to an end" she suggests.

"Jabba agrees. A treaty is in order" the droid tells her.

"You will not regret this, Jabba" I tell him.

"The clone armies may move through Jabba's territories" the droid tells us. Anakin thanks the senator and she thanks him. Anakin, Ahsoka and I leave. We meet a gunship outside and I hide behind Anakin.

"Why are you hiding?" Ahsoka asks me.

"I didn't actually get permission from my master to fly here" I tell her sheepishly. Anakin chuckles and she smiles at me. Obi-wan gives me a lecture, but says I did good. We all return home until the next mission.
