11:07, 15 August 2022The next few days were pretty normal. You were getting more and more nervous for Friday. You didn't even know what you would wear. How would you do your hair? What shoes would you wear?
Maybe you were overreacting, but you certainly didn't want to look like a mess on your first ever date.
Friday came, Robin kept on checking in with you, making sure that you guys were still on for tonight. He didn't stop asking until you pinky promised him, his body finally relaxing.
You were in a rush to get home, not waiting for Finney or Gwen. You ran home, taking a shower and making sure to wash your hair real good. You then laid out your outfit on your bed, sitting at your vanity as you did your hair and your face.
Robin said he would be knocking on your window at exactly 7pm. Not too late, not too early. Originally, it was supposed to be 9pm but you convinced him to change it earlier.
You got dressed, brushing your teeth to the point where all you could taste was nothing but toothpaste and mouthwash. You slipped on your shoes, taking another look at yourself in the mirror. Your parents were going to be home in a while, and if they did come home early, you would just tell them you were studying with a friend. You were sure they would be too tired to ask you any further questions.
You sat patiently, not so patiently, on the edge of your bed. You nervously bounced your leg up and down as you tightly gripped onto the edge as if it was the only thing keeping you from climbing into your locker and never coming out.
You suddenly heard a soft knock on your window, your body freezing. What if you just locked yourself in your bathroom? Tell him you're not feeling too well?
You hesitantly get up, opening the window to a neatly dressed Robin. He smiled at you, his eyes sparkling at the sight of you. "Hi." He said, grabbing your hands as he helped you out of the window. The window wasn't too high off the ground, you were easily able to climb through and out of it, yet he helped you each time. Your heart fluttered at that.
"You look... pretty." He says, intertwining your guys' hands as he drags you onto the sidewalk.
"You too."
"I look pretty?" He laughs, his grip tightening on yours for a split second. Your cheeks heat up, blabbering out a response. "N-no! I meantโ you look good, handsome." You corrected yourself, looking away as you stared at the road.
He bumps shoulders with you. "I was joking with you." He teased, swinging your guys' hands back and forth.
You guys walked to the movie theater, making small talk. When you guys arrived, you suggested sneaking in through the door towards the back but he refused, confidently telling you that he had been saving up enough money for this and sneaking into a theater would be a horrible first date. And so, he paid for your guys' tickets, also buying you guys a large bucket of popcorn to share.
The two of you found your seats, sitting in the far back so you guys would have a better view. You chose 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre' because it was the only one that looked interesting and Robin wouldn't stop talking about how good it was, how you would LOVE it.
You weren't even halfway through the movie, fully invested, shoving popcorn in your mouth when you felt Robin pressing soft kisses to the side of your face, making sure not miss an inch. You tried your hardest to stay focus, eventually giving in when he pressed a kiss to the corner of your mouth.
You shifted closer to Robin, your lips connecting as the popcorn bucket and the movie were long forgotten. His hand was placed firmly on the nape of your neck, pulling you in closer as if that was even possible. You hands balled his shirt up into fistfuls, his tongue swiping your bottom lip to deepen the kiss. It was needy anโ
"Robin!" You heard a high-pitched voice say, the two of you hesitantly pulling apart to look at the person who said that. "What are you doing here? Wow! What a coincidence!" Sofia squeaked, standing up in the row below you. Her figure blocked your guys' view from the screen.
You scowled at her, sulking in your seat as you crossed your arms. Of course. She had to ruin it.
Robin frowned, quickly glancing at you before staring at Sofia, covering up his flustered cheeks from earlier with a awkward cough. "We're... uhmโ watching a movie?"
"Oh! That sounds like so much fun! Do you mind if I join? I'm sure Y/N wouldn't mind, right?" She looked at you, her eyes scowling as she faked a smile at you.
"We were actually in the middle of... something." Robin spoke before you could, straightening up in his seat.
"Middle of what? It didn't look like you guys were doing anything. Why can't I join? Excluding me? Really?" She spoke, placing her hand on her hip as she shifted all her weight onto one foot. She looked at Robin expectedly, acting as if you weren't the both of your lips were swollen.
"Maybe some other time?"
Sofia's mouth dropped, her brain trying to figure out something to say.
"Or, maybe... never?" You quipped, Sofia's eyes immediately shifting towards yours. "That's bullying!"
"Did you just come to the theater alone or were you just stalking Robin?"
"No! I'm not a weirdo!"
"Sure seems like it."
She glared at you, her face softening as she looked back at Robin. "Come on, Robin! It's not like you guys are on a date or something, Y/N said she didn't like you like that!"
Robin's shoulders fell slightly, trying not to show it so much in the face. "We're actually on a date right now. So, if you don't mind? We can talk on Monday." He mumbled, trying his best to be nice but at the same time get rid of her.
Sofia hummed, putting her finger up to her chin as if she was thinking. "You promise?"
"Just leave." You spoke, throwing a piece of popcorn at her as she flinched. "Don't throw that at me! That's drenched in butter, don't get it on my outfit!" She shrieked, wiping the 'butter' off her shirt. After she was done with her temper tantrum, she straightened up, a smile spreading across her lips. "I'll see you at school Robin, bye!" She waved at him before skipping off, disappearing into the darkness of the movie theater.
You straightened up, smirking as you grabbed Robin's hand. "Where were we?"
Robin gave you a tight-lipped smile, placing your hand back on your lap as gently as he could, awkwardly patting it. "We should just watch the movie."
You smirk fell, looking down at your hand in your lap. You looked back at Robin, hoping he was joking but his eyes were on the screen. He was further away, not as close as he was when the movie first started.
You slumped back in your seat.
You were hurt, but you were seeing red. She always had to ruin everything. Why couldn't she just accept the fact that Robin didn't want her? She never even payed attention to Robin before, and now all of a sudden she was practically glued to her side. You were surprised that she didn't try to convince Robin into letting her stay. And now because of her, Robin looked like he wanted to get as far away as he could away from you.
