you held the cake in front of him, smiling softly.

"sweetheart... you didn't have to—"

"shush! make a wish!"

you watched him as he closed his eyes and blew out the candles, making you smile more.

you placed the cake on the table, before wrapping your arms around his neck. he wrapped his around your waist, slightly lifting you off the ground, as he kissed you back.

"do you want to know what i wished for?"

"i do! but if you tell me, it won't come true"

"nonsense! you're right here with me, aren't you?"

"eh? you wasted your birthday wish for me?"

"it's not wasted. you're my forever wish"

"but, don't you want anything else more?"

"more than you? absolutely not"

he pecked your lips, as he let your feet touch the ground.

you had that cute and loving expression on your face, which made his heart stop everytime.

"oh! i should give you your gift!"

you reached for your back pocket, taking out an envelope and giving it to him.

you watched him as he raised an eyebrow in confusion, before slowly opening the envelope.

"sweetheart..."

"surprise...!"

in his hands there were two flight tickets with malaysia being the destination.

he had told you countless times that he wanted to go there; leave behind all the responsibilities and troubles of work, and just relax next to the beach.

so, you booked a lovely beach house for a little more than a week, in order to experience that wonderful dream of his.
