it was a rainy day, and you had a few customers. so, you allowed the kids to slack off, while you baked some caramel apple cookies.

you wiped your hands on a towel, before exiting the kitchen;

the girl laughed softly, as she watched you make your way to the man, who was soaking wet from the rain.

"ken... you're drenched!"

"i'm sorry... it's ruining your floor, too..."

"this doesn't matter. i'll clean it"

"what happened?" you added, placing a hand on his face.

"i wanted to see you"

"what's wrong?" you asked again, wiping some droplets off his cheeks.

"i got fired"

"i disagreed with my boss at something"

"that's a stupid reason to fire you!" you said, eyebrows furrowed in anger.

"it doesn't matter... i'll find another job"

you could tell that he didn't want to talk about it more, so you didn't push it.

"let's go upstairs so you can dry off"

"behave yourselves" you said, looking at megumi and nobara.

"yes, ma'am!"

you walked towards the kitchen, before opening the door that led upstairs. you unlocked your front door, as you dragged kento to the bathroom.

"take off your clothes. i'm gonna bring you something to wear"

you went to your bedroom and opened your closet, finding the set of clothes he left at your place in case of an emergency.

you knocked on the bathroom door, waiting for him to slightly open it so he could take the clothes.

"you can come in, i don't mind it"

"are you sure?"

"yes"

you slowly opened the door, a blush immediately dusting your cheeks when you saw him with nothing but his boxers on.

"here..." you muttered, looking away.

"thank you"

your gaze traveled from his legs up to his chest, before catching the small smile on his face.

you knew he had caught you staring, so looking away would be pointless.

"i never thought you were so muscular"

"are you disappointed?"

"absolutely not" you laughed, moving your hands over the skin of his shoulders.

he wrapped his arms around you, picking you up and placing you on the bathroom's counter. a soft gasp left your lips as he did so, your legs wrapping around his waist.

"let me dry your hair off, or else you're gonna catch a cold!"

he lowered his head, as you reached for the cabinet next to you· grabbing a freshly washed towel and the hair dryer.

you started towel drying his hair, feeling his arms loosen their grip around your waist.

"ken...?"

"hm?"

he raised his head to look at you, and you quickly stole a kiss— taking him by surprise.

"don't let it ruin your mood, okay?"
