Don't Let Me Down

~ Paul POV ~ 

Paul smiled to himself as he walked out of the office. 'I made a friend.' He thought. Paul began to walk to his next class when a hand tapped his shoulder. He turned around to see a boy that looked to be a little younger than him. He dark brown hair and eyes. High cheek bones and sharp looking teeth. He was tall and very skinny. 

"Ello! Me name's George. Yer new here right?" The boy flashed a toothy grin.

"Ye I am. I'm Paul." I smiled.

"Well I was wonderin' if ye wanted to sit with me and me friend Richard during lunch later?" George asked. 

I smiled widely. "I'd love to. Thanks for asking." 

"Okay! I'll see ye then! Later Paul!" He said as he walked away. 

I grinned as I walked into class.

~ After Class ~

I walked from my class to the lunch room. I saw George and another boy sitting at a table. I think he saw me at the same time because he started waving crazily at me. I smiled and began to walk over there. I sat down at the table across from them.

"Ello Paul! This is Richard." George said. Richard smiled shyly. 

"Ello." I smiled to him.

"Aren't ye gonna get lunch Paul?" George asked. My smile began to fade a bit. 

"I'm not really hungry right now." I answered. 

"Ye really should eat though. Yer as small as a stick!" George exclaimed. I opened my mouth to answer, but another voice cut me off.

"He's right ya know. Yer the smallest bloke I've ever seen." The voice said. I turned around to see John.

George crossed his arms. "What are ye doin' over here John?" He said annoyed.

"Ey calm down Georgie. I'm just ere' to see me new best friend Paul." John responded while putting his arm around my shoulders. I tensed up. 

"Ye alright Paulie?" John questioned. Touch... made me uncomfortable. I didn't exactly have the best home life.

"Fine." I said shakily. John lifted his arm off me. 

"Well I'll be off. Do ye wanna hang out after school Paulie?" John questioned.

"Sure." I nodded. John smiled and walked to another table. 

Lunch soon ended and we all headed back to class. I was nervous about hanging out later. I wonder what we'll do. I don't know much about John, but he seemed like interesting lad.
