Chapter 10: First Day Home

***Yang's POV***

When we first saw Shaylynn, she was so little and pale. She had little dark blonde hairs on the top of her head, along with her almost nonexistent ears and her fingers and toes were so tiny. Blake started to cry again when she saw her. The doctor cleaned her off and tried handing her to Maelynn, who didn't want to hold her.

"If I do, I won't wanna give her up. I can't." The doctor turned to me and placed the baby in my arms. When I looked at her, she was content. She was crying but she didn't seem upset. Blake was smiling and taking a ton of pictures, and I looked like a huge cry baby.

I looked and Blake and handed Shay over to her, causing her to sob her heart out.

"Yang, she is so cute. I-I can't" She said in between sobs. It was adorable watching Blake love on the baby she's wanted for so long. The doctor came over and asked for all of the information like full name, address, and other things that didn't seem to faze Blake, all she cared about was Shay.

I told the doctor everything and we were free to go, without Shaylynn. She had to stay for a couple more days. Blake didn't want to leave her but I convinced her to let her stay, to make sure she was healthy. We got home and Blake fell asleep, after crying of course. I sat up, waiting for the call to go and get our baby girl.

After the 4th day of waiting, I got the call while Blake was still sleeping. I went and got her and made sure everything was baby proofed and ready to go. I brought her into our room and sat down on the rocking chair by the door. I hummed a little bit and she calmed down.

She made little cooing noises and Blake stirred, but didn't get up. Ruby came in and saw the baby.

"Yang, she looks so much like Blake. It's incredible." I smiled and kissed the top of her soft head.

"Shaylynn Dawn Xiao Long"

"She said yes!" Ruby whisper yelled. I stood up and walked out of the room. Ruby and I walked into her and Weiss's room and smiled to the ice queen herself.

"Hey, Ice Queen."

"What's up loser? Who's thing is the little one?" She asked smiling.

"Mommy's little girl" Blake said from behind me.
