"We must tell people that we're due in June though actually it's May so that it doesn't feels too early" Dahyun explains to Jungkook as she lies on the bed while Jungkook arranges stuff in his suitcase.

"Yeah I know..." He replies.

"I don't know why I suddenly want to eat ice cream. I don't like eating ice creams usually but pregnancy is weird ugh..." She sighs touching her bloated belly.

"Then let's go eat ice cream" Jungkook says asking her to follow him.

They were staying in a small cottage themed hotel at a hill station. Jungkook drove a rented car from the airport aa it was on the outskirts of the city.

"It's not that urgent. You should rest. You'll have to drive again."

"It's fine. We have to go out to get dinner anyways"

"Okay. When we come back I'm going to directly sleep."

"Come on..." Jungkook says opening the door for her.

"Wait let me go to the bathroom"

"Didn't you go like fifteen minutes ago"

"Well you know..." Dahyun taps her abdomen smiling at him.

Jungkook and Dahyun find a decent ice cream shop after searching for half an hour getting annoyed out of the tiredness that takes over their body.

When they finally get their ice creams both of them sit on the bench outside. Jungkook breaks the silence after a few minutes.

"Can I ask you something? I'll not ask you anything about it after this"

"Sure"

"Did you never think about... ending your pregnancy? And does the father not know?" He asks looking at Dahyun who looks in his eyes.

"No he doesn't knows. It doesn't matters. I don't wanna tell him. And about ending it... it did cross my mind but then I counted all the factors. This baby found it's way to me naturally. I believe in fate and that everything happens for a good reason. Maybe if not this what if I never get the opportunity to become a mother again. I'm at that age where it could be difficult and the fact that it happened even after trying to prevent it... I never know if I would've that chance again right?"

"Okay" Jungkook nods not knowing exactly what to answer.

"If you want in the future we could try to have a baby of our own. I mean your own." She says hesitantly looking away from Jungkook.

"Isn't this baby supposed to be mine?" He asks her when she smiles widely and hugs him.

They do away with the idea of getting dinner as both are too tired to waste any more time on eating and just want to sleep.

When they reach back to the hotel room Jungkook changes outside while Dahyun uses the bathroom. Their night suits were too thin to be able to keep the cold away and Dahyun came out shivering.

"Hey maybe you should put on a hoodie or jacket over this? It's getting colder as the night is progressing." Jungkook says looking at her not wanting her to fall sick in the middle of the trip. He barely knows how to do the right things to take care of her. If she falls sick he would end up blaming himself.

"Damn I didn't anticipate this place to be this cold..." She rubs her arms taking out her hoodie from her luggage and puts it on. Jungkook puts on a sweater over his night shirt too.

"This heater doesn't seems to be very efficient. What is its problem?" Jungkook examines the heater to check for any problems.

"These vents are blocked... crap"

"Jungkook..." Dahyun mutters.

"Yeah?" He says sitting on the floor trying to find something to clear the vents of the heater with.

"There's only one blanket" She says turning towards him.

"Then I'll ask for another" He gets up and goes out but comes back from the door itself.

"What happened?"

"It's completely dark out there at the housekeeping office and there's no one outside."

Dahyun sighs before exhaling a deep breath.

"We'll have to manage somehow then... I guess?"

"It's all my fault I didn't check what place my brother made bookings for. There are not enough blankets, the heater's begging to retire. What kind of a shithole did we spend money on? He said it'll give you the best experience but where's the experience? Let the hotel people wake up tomorrow morning. We could find a good proper hotel in the city area." He says finding it difficult to control his anger.

"Come on we're grown ups we can adjust..." Dahyun says.

"What will I do if something happens to you?" He says.

"Nothing will happen to me. I'm absolutely fine but I need to sleep." She says touching his arm then lying down on the bed and fixing the blanket so that both of them can fit in it.

"What are you looking at? Get in the bed" She asks him to lie down beside her.

"Ugh... fine" Jungkook slowly takes his place on the bed trying to not touch her.

Dahyun lies on her side which feels most comfortable while Jungkook tries hard to keep a gap between them but in his attempts he ends up pulling the blanket away from Dahyun's body.

"What are you trying to do?" She raises her eyebrow.

"We'll have to sleep... closely... to keep the blanket from slipping away from one of us..." He says scratching his nape.

"It's fine. To be honest I wouldn't cafe once I'm asleep. I'm a heavy sleeper." She chuckles looking at his clueless face.

He reluctantly lays facing her back somehow keeping his hand on his side and between his knees but still a part of his arms touched her back.

"We're two full sized adult people, why would they put only one blanket for us?"

"They wouldn't expect a couple to sleep in separate blankets. People just cuddle and sleep."

"Do we seem like the cuddly types?" Jungkook rolls his eyes.

"What do they know about us?" Dahyun says looking at him over her shoulder.

"And to be honest I don't think most couples exactly sleep when they stay here... The surroundings are kinda cozy and... romantic.." Jungkook stays quiet not knowing what to reply and not wanting to have an awkward conversation with her.

"It's kind of a funny situation. Isn't it?" He asks her trying to suppress his laughter but once she speaks he ends up laughing with her.

She tries to shift at her place but then suddenly shrieks in a low voice.

"Are you okay?"

"I was about to fall off the bed"

"Please be careful"

"It's such a thin blanket"

"Are you still feeling cold?"

"Not that much"

"Hold on to me..."

"What?" Dahyun turns around in shock.

"For the sake of the baby... I just want you to be safe" He says putting off his discomfort and pulls her close to rest her head on his arm while he lied straight she had her knees bent against his sides with her head on his chest.

"I don't want you to feel uncomfortable" She says pulling herself away slightly curling her body up to keep herself warm.

"Same" He said not realising that his hand touched hers.

"Next week I'll complete the first trimester. Time is flying by so soon." Dahyun says pursing her lips in a tiny smile.

"How big is the baby by now?" He asks feeling bad that he is so ignorant about all of this. To be honest he didn't get time to prepare for it and in fact he didn't even cause it.

"2 inches I think" She tells him.

"What... that tiny? How big is a baby when it's born then? I haven't been around a newborn since I was a kid and my cousins were getting born" He informs her causing her distress on how she'll be helpless around the baby.

"How big do you think they can get inside the womb?" Dahyun chuckles looking at him when he giggles.

"Shit man I just never had any time to learn anything much... I just know the basics of reproductive health that we're taught at school. Don't worry though I'll do my research and learn everything eventually."

"You will?"

"Just give me time. I'll make it up to you"

"You can have all the time in the world" Dahyun says holding his hand and he doesn't let's go of her as he feels a tinge of regret that he didn't try to actually get to know her before. He got carried away by his attraction towards y/n and created unnecessary trouble. His feelings overwhelm him as he thinks about both y/n and Dahyun at the same time.

"I'm sorry I was so indifferent to you earlier"

"It's okay until you try to make it right. And even if you don't I guess I'll have to make peace with that."

"I just want to make a peaceful family that's all. Even love and happiness can come only through peace."

"I have my 12 week ultrasound when we return. If you want you can come with me. You can hear the heartbeat and everything..."

"Really? I'll plan my schedule accordingly"

"Now sleep..." She said before closing her eyes and he watched her fall asleep.

Sorry I know I wrote too much about Jungkook and Dahyun but trust me I have much more planned out. ♡♡
