Abomination

  Brief summary of the past week: Alaric and I found the carvings. I've deciphered them before (no one knew that). Elena learned about the original witch and how you can only be a vampire or a witch, not both. I knew all of it, but something felt like there was a missing puzzle peice. Everything has been depressing without Klaus. I know he's a monster. I know I shouldn't love him but I do anyway. It's not the same as it was. He's not, but neither am I.

  Today everyone gathered around with Mikeal with the plan of killing Klaus. I had other plans. I had to protect Elena and Klaus. Play two sides of the fence. the same fence, or a different fence? it doesn't matter.

  "You see a vampire can't dagger an original without dying, it falls to you" Mikeal states calmly handing the dagger to Lena

Stef and Rebeckah speak to Klaus over the phone to get him to come here. Elena pulls the dagger out of Mikeal.

*time skip to party

I with Klaus and a woman comes up to us. "You have a visitor"

  "Well, tell my visitor that I'm on the brink of victory here" Klaus replies

  "He said his name is Mikeal"    "Then lets not keep him waiting" I say Klaus's jaw clenched

  "Move everyone out back, I'm going to have a little chat with my dad" Klaus says aggressively and walks away "tony you know what to do"

  "Hello Niklaus" Mikeal greets coldly

  "Hello Mikeal" he replies "will you come in oh that's right I forgot you can't"

  "Or you could come outside" Mikeal argues

  "Or I could watch my hybrids tear you limb from limb" Brutal. Sounds good to me.

  "They can't kill me"

  "True, but it will make  a hell of a party game, all I have to do is rub these two fingers together and they'll pounce."

  "The big bad wolf, you haven't changed, still hiding like a coward, and don't you forget they may be sired by you but they are still part vampire, and they can be compelled by me " Mikeal states 'Elena' next to him"come out and face me Niklaus or she dies"

  "Go ahead, kill her" Nik says

  "No Klaus, he'll do it"  Katerina speaks up

  "If she dies this lot will be the last of your abominations"

"I just need to be rid of you"

  "I don't have a problem with that because the only abomination here is you, he may not be your blood, but he's your child. That makes you the monster, not the victim."I say harshly

  "It will end Niklaus, so you can live forever with no one at your side. Nobody cares about you anymore boy. Who do you have other than those whose loyalty you force? No one. No one.

  "Wrong. He has me. You seek vengeance and power because you're weak and small. You're the abomination. Nik is nothing like you." I say through gritted teeth

"Maybe, I should just kill you instead" He finally acknowledges me "rip your heart out, since it seems to beat so profoundly for this pathetic disgrace"

"I'd like to see you try" I  glare "there is nothing you can do to me. You may have lived longer, but I have survived more" 

  "I'm calling your bluff father, kill her" Klaus refers to Elena taking the attention off me

  "Come outside and face me little coward and I won't have to"

  "My whole life you have underestimated me, if you kill her you loose your leverage, so go ahead, go on kill her, come on old man kill her" he screams "Kill her!"

  "Your Impulse Niklaus, it has and will forever be the one thing that keeps you from truly being great" a single tear rolls down his cheek and Mikeal stabs her. Damon nearly stakes Him. Stefan pushes Damon off. Klaus stakes Mikeal who screams in pain and burns.

  "What the hell did you do?" Day asks Stefan

  "The right thing" I say

  "He's earned his freedom" Klaus says Stefan gets up & faces him "Thank you, my friend, you no longer have to do as I say. You're free." for once, he did what was right.  A tiny part of me is unsure.

*time skip

  I go back to Klaus. he's talking on the phone with Stef.  "I'll kill you and everyone you ever met"

  "You do that, and you'll never see you family again. I wonder Klaus as someone who been a step ahead for a thousand years, were you prepared for this?" Klaus hangs up seething.

  We take a detour and head back. We got to the boarding house a meet Damon and drink bourbon. Well they drink it. Damon doesn't let me.

  "Cheers, mate" Klaus says

  "Down the hatch" Damon replies as he takes a sip

  "You know we actually got a lot in common, you and I"

  "Really? yeah, maybe you too can bond over the mutual hatred of our brother." I say

   "Why are you so mad at him? He stole something?" Damon asks

  "My family, the originals, I had them daggered, boxed up, awaiting the day I saw fit to wake them and he went in and pinched the bloody lot"

  "Of course he did, Such a buzzkill my baby bro. Bet he also doesn't approve of you and our little sister. Although, come to think of it, neither do I. Well, I'd love to find him, the trouble is I sure as hell don't work for you. Neither does my sister so stay away from her"  I roll my eyes

  "You know your drink stinks of vervain so I can't compel you. There'd be no point in killing you because You're actually the one with the most hope to get me what I need, and yet it would seem a demonstration is in order. Perhaps I wasn't clear enough when I told you to find Stefan. Oh well, it seems you people respond best to violence. Why don't you take this as an example of my reach. Klaus calls someone

"Rember that thing I told you to do why don't you do it and get on with it?" I look at him confused   *time skip

  "Thank you for coming" Elena greets Klaus and I walk in

  "I trust you have news of Stefan?" Klaus asks

  "I couldn't find him, but I have something else" she says cautiously we go down to the basement

  "Beckah" I rush and crouch down next to her

  "My poor sister, I can't turn my back on her for a moment"

  "You have Rebeckah a deal is a deal"

  "The life of my sister in exchange for your brother, yeah, I'd say that's a bargain. Consider him spared" Elena sighs in relief.

  "You should know, I was the one that daggered her, when she wakes she'll come after me.

  "I can control Rebeckah, besides,"

  "I told you I don't know where he is" He pulled the dagger out of Beckahs back

  "You're lying, fortunately, you have no shortage of loved ones, if you can't find my family, the question you should be asking yourself is who's going to die next? Bonnie, Caroline, Damon? It's only a matter of time before Stefan gives me what I want"

  "Niklaus, you will not hurt anyone else" I warn

  "Stefan doesn't care about me anymore you made sure of that, you turned him into a monster, now, he's your problem, and just so you know I'm not the only one Rebeckah wants dead, she knows what you did to your mother. She knows that you killed her. You can let yourself out" Elena says
