☆CHAPTER 6☆

☆SEUNGMIN☆

I was walking with Hyunjin, Felix and Jeongin to our class before lunch; math class. "You guys are late," the teacher said sternly. We bowed. "Sorry," The teacher gave us an exasperated look. "It's the first day! But because of that, I won't give you a tardy...just make sure it doesn't happen again," the teacher said. We headed to our seats at the back of the class.

"Ok, who can anyone solve the problem on the board?" the teacher asked, writing something on the white board.

I looked at the board in surprise. "The Collatz Conjecture!?" I whispered to Hyunjin who was next to me. "Yeah...?" Hyunjin said as if it was a two plus two question. "Even Hyunjin can solve it and he's so stupid!" Felix said and Hyunjin playfully punched him in the arm. Jeongin raised his arm up. "Yes?" the teacher asked. "Uh...is the answer _____________?" Jeongin asked, reading the answer off of his notebook. When he finished reading the pretty long answer, he looked up at the teacher anxiously, waiting for her response. "Correct," the teacher said. I expected her to be surprised that someone even solved the question. Let alone in less than forty fucking seconds.

Why?

Cuz the Collatz Conjecture has never been solved.

I looked at Jeongin in awe. How on earth could a high school student solve it when famous mathematicians couldn't!? "What?" Jeongin asked, catching me staring. "Erm...how did you solve it?" I asked. Jeongin's features showed a hint of realization. "Uh..." Jeongin started. He was interrupted by the teacher. "No talking!" she said sharply.

I turned back to the board, my focus slowly shifting back to the advanced equations that were being solved one by one. Each one is like the Collatz Conjecture. How on earth is this possible? How on earth could these students solve it? And if they could, why couldn't I?

Honestly, this whole week has been creeping me out, and it isn't pleasant.

☆☆☆

I wanted to ask Jeongin how he solved it, but I didn't get the chance. Also, I'm sorta...scared? I might find out something I don't want to. I'm still not comfortable around Jeongin. It's weird.

The day ended pretty normally, except for the fact that everyone was extremely smart. Like unnaturally smart.

I was walking with Jeongin to our dorm. "How did you do it?" I asked, breaking the silence. He looked at me, confused. "What do you mean?" he asked. "The math problem," I said. "It's easy! I just started with ________, then I-" Jeongin started. "No, I mean. That problem has never been solved before. And now suddenly high school students can do it?? The problem is unsolvable." I said, pushing the subject harder. "Nevermind..." Jeongin said, desperately trying to change the subject.

If he was hoping that would make me give up, he was wrong. I was only a little bit suspitions before, but now I'm even more suspicious. "What are you hiding?" I asked. Suddenly, Hyunjin popped up. I didn't even see him come. I felt the eery feeling come again and wild thoughts come like a train through my brain. Am I gonna get murdered??

☆JEONGIN☆

Hyunjin used his ability and was here standing in front of me and Seungmin in a blink of an eye. "Tell him," he said. I looked at him, he was very serious. "N-no," I said. I had this need to protect Seungmin from this. I glnaced at him from the corner of my eye. He was pale and looked scared.

"Fine, if you won't I will," Hyunjin said stuburnly, grabbing Seungmin's wrist and attempting to take him. If Seungmin was scared before, he was even more scared. I quickly grabbed his other wrist. He looked at me with a confused expression on his face, his eyes wide and watery.

Hyunjin glared at me. "Let him go, you'll regret it if you don't tell him now." Hyunjin said seriously. I thought about it for a few seconds. If I don't tell him, he could find out and get mad at me for hiding it from him. I sighed softly in defeat. "F-fine," I said, letting go of Seungmin's wrist. Hyunjin did the same. "But I'll tell him," I said, meeting Hyunjin's eyes. He smiled and nodded. I smiled back, glad that we are in good terms with each other. I love Hyunjin very much.

I exited with Jeongin. Our fingertips brushed against each others, and I suddenly wanted to hold his hand. Without thinking, I did, my heart beating fast. He tensed up slightly. I squeezed his hand softly, reassuring him, and he was calmer.

We finally arrived at the dorm and I closed the door behind us. Nobody was there, I'm guessing Hyunjin went with Felix and Chan is somewhere with his friends.

"So..." Seungmin started. I looked at him, scared to tell him. "So, uh...I want to ask...uhm...did anything...weird happen?" I asked, hoping to get something out of him. "W-what do you mean?" he asked, and I wish I could read his mind. However I can't until next week.

"I mean, anything out of the ordinary. Like a...a feeling? Or something?" I said, and I saw his eyes widen a bit. He looked at the floor. "I don't know if it's what you're talking about...but something did happen," he said. "Tell me!" I said. "So...in the train here, I felt this weird sensation, just for a minute though. I felt like I was unreal, yet perfectly real...? I don't know how to explain it," he admitted, his eyes not moving from the floor.

Bingo.

So he did come from a different dimension.

I didn't know how to tell him, but I decided just to get over with it and simply tell him the truth. "Listen, I think you might have uhm come from a different uhhh dimension," I said, feeling really stupid. "No shit sherlock," Seunmin said, a small smile creeping on his lips. He thought I was joking.

"I'm not joking!" I said. "Suuure, I'll go to bed. My head hurts and I'm not in the mood to joke," he said. I looked at him in surprise. How did his mood change so fast. Unless he knows what I said might be true and he doesn't want to admit it. Maybe he is scared to.

"I'll prove it then," I said.
