HEY GUYS, IT'S A BEEN A WHILE HASN'T IT

WELL HERE YOU GO

-Chapter Twenty Four-

"They know about Liam?" Elena gasped, turning her head momentarily away from the bacon she was frying to gape at me with wide eyes.

I pulled my lips into a smirk, nodding my head as I swung my legs against the counter that I was currently sat upon.

"Do they know about..." She gave me a small look out of the corner of her eye.

I scrunched my nose. "Hell no."

"When are you going to tell them?"

"When they are seconds away from death or stuck on an island far far far away and can't rip him to shreds."

I grinned as she let out a loud laugh, scooping up the pieces of bacon and serving them onto two white porclein plates.

I'd come over to Elena's as soon as I woke up, wanting to inform her of the interrogation my brothers' had given me the night before. And now here I sat, ontop of her kitchen counter as she made breakfast for her and Jeremy.

"Are you sure you don't want any?" She asked, looking at me over her shoulder as she placed the plates full of food on the small table.

I hopped off the counter, my hands releasing their grip of the stone as I landed on the floor. Shaking my head, I answered, "Nah, I'm good."

She shrugged as she sat down in front of her plate. "Suit yourself."

I chuckled slightly, my eyes finding their way to the doorway as someone came jogging down the stairs.

"I smell food."

I leant against the counter behind me, crossing my arms as Jeremy came jogging down into the kitchen, his eyes wide as he caught sight of the plate of food that Elena had made for him.

I didn't say anything as his eyes suddenly snapped to me, a small blush creeping onto his cheeks as he obviously didn't realise I was here. I smiled cheesily at him.

"Oh, hey Brook."

"Yo, Jer-Bear."

His smile dropped as he gave me a dead-pan expression. "I thought we'd gone over this."

"That doesn't mean I agreed to it." I grinned cheekily at him as he simply rolled his eyes and sat down, picking up his fork to start eating.

"What's he talking about?" Elena whispered to me as I sat at the head of the table, placing my chin in my cupped hand.

I let out an evil-type laugh and looked over at Jeremy. "Jeremy hates my nickname."

"It's not even a nickname. It's a condescending title."

Both Elena and I's eyebrows shot up at his words. "Since when did you become Mr. Walking Vocabulary?"

"Since I started paying attention to my school work." He gave me a 'duh' expression, causing me to become even more confused as I brought up my lip in a confused expression.

"And when in the hell did you ever pay attention in school?"

"I could ask you the same thing."

"Touché."

"His grades have actually gotten a lot better." Elena commented as she finished off the last of her egg.

"Are you sure he's not just writing the answers on his arm?" I snickered as Elena went up to the sink with her plate, shooting me a look over her shoulder as she turned on the tap.

"I actually studied to get those grades." Jeremy defended, his eyebrows pulled down in a scowl as he forcefully grabbed his plate. "You should try it sometime."

My mouth went into a massive amused 'O', the corners of my lips turning up in a massive grin as I turned in my chair to watch after him.

"Get you, Sass Master!" I shouted at him as Elena scowled at her brother, slapping his arm in an attempt to scold him.

Jeremy looked over his shoulder as he handed the plate to Elena, giving me a sloppy grin. "That was pretty good, wasn't it?"

"Gimme a high-five." I shook my head in disbelief, bringing up my hand as he walked past, slapping my hand really hard. Despite the fact I was a vampire, I still let out a small 'ow' as he walked away.

"You are such a bad influence." Elena mumbled as she turned off the tap, grabbing the dish cloth. I raised an eyebrow, catching the small smile on her lips.

"Oh, come on, I'm an awesome influence."

"You shouldn't encourage him. He'll start smart-assing everyone."

I waved a dismissive hand. "Everyone needs to be a smart ass sometimes."

"Of course you would say that."

I smiled. "Of course I would say that."

Just as she rolled her eyes, her phone began to ring, vibrating across the counter. She frowned but picked it up.

"Hello?"

After that I zoned out, turning back around to lean down in the chair and stare at the Gilbert's kitchen. My thoughts drifted to tomorrow; the party that Dylan had invited me to. I puckered my lips as I screwed up my eyes, trying to think about whether or not I should sneak out to it or not.

I might not have to sneak out, actually. Since Stefan and I had that fluffy moment yesterday, he may actually let me go. MAY.

I wasn't going to assume that he would, because my brother's were just too protective for my personnality sometimes.

"I don't know, let me ask her."

My ears perked up at the sudden spark in conversation. I sat up and turned my torso so that I was facing Elena, my eyebrow raised in question. She was looking at me, her phone pressed against her shoulder as she paused her conversation with whoever was on the opposite end of the phone to ask me something.

"Caroline and Bonnie want to know if you're up for shopping."

"Do birds fly?"

She frowned at me for a moment. "What does that have to do wi-"

I rolled my eyes. "Ask them if birds fly."

She gave me a look that signalled she was worried about my mental health but mumbled the question into the phone. A few seconds passed as I waited for their response. My eyebrow stayed quirked as Elena once again pressed the phone to her shoulder.

"They said yes."

"You have your answer then."

She stared at me with a very unamused expression, muttering my reply and hanging up the phone.

"You couldn't have just give a simple answer?" She asked.

I grinned. "Am I a simple person."

I saw her grit her teeth as she stared at me.

"No."

"There we go then."

"You are so complicated sometimes, I swear to God."

"Adds to the charm." I smirked.

"What charm?"

She let out a laugh as I threw a place mat at her head.

There you go guys, another chapter :D

I really am sorry about the delay in updates but school is kicking my ass and I have so many mocks and tests that they're throwing at me. But I am trying, trust me.

I've put a picture of Dylan on the side. It's Max/Charlie Carver. They're twins so I guess it doesn't really make a difference. But that picture is Max, just saying.

Thank you for all the feed back guys! I really do love reading your comments.

ALSO EVERYONE SUGGESTING THINGS THAT SHOULD HAPPEN:
