"Is everything set up and ready for the baby shower?" I asked as I sat down on the couch.

"Yes babe it is. Everyone should be arriving soon." Matt smiled at me.

The only people that was already at the shower was our parents. Only cause our moms wanted to be the ones to set everything up which was fine with me. Had to be that I was fine with it because I couldn't do much anyways because of the pre-eclampsia and I hated it. And I still had a bunch of swelling happening to me, especially on my feet and ankles.

And Matt has been amazing through this last half of my pregnancy. Once I got past me biting his head off anyways. I had never realized, at first, how much stress I was putting him under until I happened to hear his conversation with his dad during an accident call to me. I didn't even let him know I had heard that conversation, I just vowed to myself to treat him better and I've been keeping that promise ever since.

"Everything okay sweetie?" Matt's mom, Kim asked breaking me out of my thoughts.

I looked up at her with a small smile as I rubbed my lower stomach and nodded, "Yeah, for the most part. Just feeling a little bit of pressure by my hips."

"Ah, well that's normal. It's just your body preparing for these babies to come into the world."

"So it's nothing to be concerned about?" I asked as I try to readjust to try to relieve some of the pressure.

"Not necessarily. Do you have a heating pad? That might help."

"Uh yeah, but I'm not sure where Matt put it."

"Matthew!" Kim called out.

I giggled when he came rushing into the living room.

"What, everything okay?" He asked quickly.

"Everything is fine." Kim smirked, "Where's the heating pad? Go get it for us please."

"Ah okay." He nods and does just that, "Here you go. What's going on?"

"I'm just having some pressure on my lower area that's all."

"Just the woman's body preparing for delivery that's all. Nothing to be concerned over just yet." She assured then focused back on me, "Now lay back more and I'll put the pad on you."

"Okay." I then laid down more on the couch.

I watched as Matt plugged the pad in then his mom took it and turned it on after she laid it on my hips.

"How long should we leave it on me?"

"Only for about 10 minutes or so. Don't want it to get too warm in there for the little ones." Kim smiled at me.

"Thank you mom." I smiled at her.

That made her smile more because that was the first time I had called her mom. Usually I always only called her by her name.

"Anything for my daughter." She beamed as she patted my knee.

"Is everything done in the nursery?" I asked Matt as the doorbell rang.

"It is, we were just finishing the last of the 2nd crib when I was called in here." He said and then went and answered the door.

One by one everyone started showing up with gifts. The last person to show up was Zacky, and it shocked me when he didn't walk in with Gena but none other than Meghan.

"Really?" I questioned as I had sat up more, "Where's Gena?"

"Who the hell knows." Zacky shrugged, "Probably out with her boy toy or some shit. Her and me are over, she's been cheating on me for months. So that's why I brought Meghan with me. Plus If Gena can have other interests then so can I."

"Seriously Zachary? You don't fight fire with fire." I groaned as I turned and sat up on the couch, "Just because she's been cheating on you doesn't mean that gives you right to jump into another women's arms. You two have been together for quite a while, if you think jumping into something else this quick is going to help you heal then you're sadly mistaken."

"Are kidding me Joella? This is none of your business honestly. I'm a grown man, I can do whatever I want for one and for two there's nothing going on between me and her, we're only friends, for now."

"I find that hard to believe. I've seen the way you two have been acting around each other. And you two came in here holding hands Zack! That's not "just friends" shit." I had used air quotes.

"Babe, you need to calm down. Why are you even getting so upset over this?" Matt tried calming me down.

"Because one of my friends found out his wife is fucking cheating on him and instead of taking a breather to try to comprehend everything that's happening he jumps into another female's arms. Yeah so what she cheated on you, but you two are technically still married Zachary so this." I motioned between him and Meghan, "Is basically doing the same thing she's been doing and that's not right."

"Who fucking cares! Give her a taste of her own damn medicine. We're all grown ass adults. We all can do what we want. So what if I want to keep my damn mind distracted from the shit she's doing to me, it's none of your damn business so I don't know why you're getting so mad at me. Get mad at Gena for being the slut!"

"Zachary! Regardless you're both still my damn friends and I don't." I had stood up quickly but had to stop and put my hand on my hip as a sharp pain went through my right hip, "Fuck." I groaned as I sat back down.

"Babe?! What's wrong?!" Matt quickly came to me.

"I just stood up too fast that's all." I breathed out as I rubbed my hip.

My mom sat beside me and started rubbing my back, "The sudden standing up probably stretched one of your ligament muscles."

"I don't even know why you got so upset over all this in the first place." Zacky sighed as he rolled his eyes.

"I told you why." I groaned.

"Okay, enough of this conversation." Matt shook his head.

"Yeah well he shouldn't have came into our baby shower with some other female while he's still legally married to someone else." I rolled my eyes.

"Because he can do what he wants. You have no control over what he does. No one does but him. Anyways, what's your damn problem with me? I've done nothing to you. So what, he wants me around, it's not my fault this Gena fucked things up, but I'm here as a friend for him, nothing more. So back the fuck off and if you're a friend like you say you are then be a supportive one and stop acting like you're his mother or his sister." Meghan shook her head as she crossed her arms.

"Meghan chill." Zacky said as he put his hands on her back.

"No, I won't. Since we walked in here she's been laying into you and I've had enough of it. We're not doing anything wrong."

"Wow." I breathed out as I nodded once, "You have some guts talking to me like that in my own home. And so what if I'm acting like a sister, news flash he's like a brother to me so of course I'm going to have some concerns about what's going on in his life."

"Yeah well you're being a bitch to him."

"Okay that's enough!" Matt roared as he stood up, "You're not going to stand here and call my wife a bitch!"

"I didn't say she was one, I said she's acting like one." Meghan rolled her eyes.

"Might as well, and I'm sorry but you can leave. I don't want you here." I groaned, shaking my head.

Although she was right, I was being a bitch to Zacky. I guess I shouldn't have been so harsh on him but I couldn't help it.

"I'll be happy to leave." With that she walked out.

"Nice one." Zacky groaned, "I don't know why you have a problem with her Joella. She's done nothing to you, and she was right, she only been there as a friend for me, just like I wish you would be instead of jumping down my throat because I brought her. I thought you liked her, thats why I brought her but I guess I was wrong." With that he walked out.

"Fuck, I'm sorry." I blinked back tears, "She's right though, I was being a bitch."

"But she had no right to say that." Michelle spoke up.

"No she had every right because it's the truth." I shrugged. "I'm sorry I ruined this baby shower though."

"No, you're okay babe." Matt sat back down next to me.

I looked around and sighed as I rubbed my temples, "I hate to do this but I need to go lay down. I hope that's okay with everyone. I'm sorry, I know everyone came to have some fun and I ruined it."

"Hey, no, you're okay. It's understandable that you want to go lay down." Lacey stayed and everyone agreed.

I nodded as Matt stood up and helped me stand up. But as I stood up my eyes went wide because I felt liquid go down my legs.

"Fuck, I just peed myself. I didn't even realized I had to go."

"Oh my God." My mom beamed as she stood up, "Sweetie, your water just broke you didn't pee yourself."

"No! That can't be, it's too soon." I quickly shook my head, "I..I'm only roughly 35 weeks along." I started to panic.

"It's going to be okay." Kim assured me, "Come on, we need to get her to the hospital."
